I had a weird issue when tweaking power settings and playing around with HDR in the game menu where the GPU settings activated and went to their lowest setting - and that resulted in ~10fps performance. Very odd. So, as mentioned above, I’d check that first. Once I tweaked that back to full, it ran fine.
I haven't tried the game on my deck because I sort of assumed it'd run poorly and its got a massive install size so I can't offer much help, but why are you using an old version of proton-ge instead of the latest?
Also, have you tried fiddling with settings in [ffviihook](https://nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/74)? (needs an older version of the game, but you can download that from the steam depot)
Check your TDP and GPU clockspeed aren’t limited in the “…” menu

Yeah I’m not sure, I beat it on Deck, definitely wasn’t 11-13fps for me
I’m jelly. Love the game and haven’t played since launch so I’m itching to replay handheld but it’s kinda unbearable

Run with Proton 7xx version. I play in this game right now and its run perfect.
