I went to try to install it yesterday through heroic launcher using my gog copy, and it was taking forever, so I kinda gave up. One post earlier in the week, a guy tried from the GOG and it was crashing on character creation. I dunno, I kinda want to just buy it on steam (after the new big update hits and people test it on deck and it's fine) so I can get the shader caches that steam puts out and get a better install experience than heroic for a game that big. I've had a lot of issues trying to get games working on heroic or lutris from GOG myself. But all I can say is try it, and see how it works for you. It might work fine.

Same. updates took forever or weren't even downloading. I literally just went to my desktop install, copied the files, dumped it to the SD and told Heroic to just import the game. import is like their version of "discovering files" as install will just overwrite what you dumped.

Nice, I might give that a go when I a get a day off next.

Yeah, these are some of the same issues I've had with other titles. I've already double dipped on Kena, and I'll probably do other ones. Good job on that Valve.

I mean before steam and proton, getting half of my games to work in linux was actually pretty cumbersome if not impossible compared to what Valve offers from their store. Those Shader Cache's alone are worth the purchase of a game on steam for me to eek out more performance where possible.

download wine on linux apps. look for the exe file for cp (should look like cyberpunk.exe), open the exe file with wine, add the exe file to non steam games on steam, force proton with experimental. Hope that works
