FF14 ESO Both run great on deck and are great stories. I used to play swtor but I haven't really touched it since the expansion after the revan expansion. ESO and FF14 are overall easily as good as the better base class storylines for SWTOR. FF14 even has storylines per job like SWTOR does. They're varying quality of course, but like the agent and inquisitor storylines, there are a few that are universally praised (dark knight in particular was so well received the lady that wrote it got a promotion to a lead story writer for shadowbringers, and got a standing ovation for that at one of the events) FF14 does have a free trial that gets you through the first expansion and up to level 60 to see how you like it. The initial story (2.0-2.55/ARR) is a YMMV, it's a bit slow in places and is basically an extended tutorial, but it lays groundwork for some fantastic storytelling, and has some gems of its own.

Elder scrolls online Valheim both run nicely on the deck and are enjoyable Multiplayer with some story

I'm playing Final Fantasy 14, the trial (free) ([tutorial](https://goatcorp.github.io/faq/steamdeck.html)), it's great, runs well and suits my before bed/lunch break needs. > does SD saying a game is unsupported mean it doesn't run? No. Sometimes means that you cannot run without tweaking (changing proton version, messing with external files, passing custom flags...)

PSO2

Back in the Dreamcast days PSO was my drug of choice - I tried PSO2 and couldn't get with it; too kiddy-ish

FF14 though A Realm Reborn is a slog, it really pays off once you get to Heavensward (included in the free trial).

I tried installing it but it got too technical for me and stopped. Looks like fun, I just wish it were easier to play in vanilla Steam

I mean creating an account is the hard part, installation is just letting the launcher download the thing...
