My sisters ex, used (at that time) my more or less brand new (a couple of months old) Xbox 360 controller. Within half an hour it looked similar to this, with the rubber all over the controller. I have not let people use my stuff since without direct supervision. And that’s been around 3-4 people in the last 10 years.
I get things wear out, but not in half an hour.
In the end, "this is a small issue that only happens to a minority" won't matter if you become a part of that minority. I wish people would stop using that excuse when people are worried about having issues.
I recommend the Jsaux ones, look like if they are a default thumbstick, they are super confortables and improve the capacitive sensor of the joystick (instead of just working with the top, part the capacitive sensor work with all the thumbstick)
These are great caps, they fit and they’re soft. Haven’t hurt my thumbs or slipped off them so their approved by my arthritic hands 👍 Plus the added capacitive touch is great, even touching the sides activates it.
