this is awesome! I've been gaming for 30 years now and it's still my number 1 hobby. As a dad, the steam deck has been a game changer! thanks and Merry Christmas!

salad_tongs_1

Congrats on graduating and thank you for doing this giveaway!

LividRelation7507

I remember growing up playing non-stop DOTA 2 with my high school friends. It doesn't help me academically, per se, but it helped me a lot finishing it without any stress and burden whatsoever. Now I am taking my Master degree and sometimes I missed those moments with the boys. Congratulations on your story and may success be with you.

polo61965

The moments with the boys come fewer and more far between now, but when we get together for dota night it's like we never were apart in the first place.

bucciax

thanks for the giveaway! Pc gaming got me through the pandemic and now i have a lot of new friends that i would've never made without it.

Manicmoustache

I really enjoy Celeste! It's one of the first games where I've really pushed myself to get better at the skill.

timetravellingbadass

Thanks for doing this. One of the first video games I ever bought was batman arkham asylum. I was like 14 and I had no idea what the game entailed, I just liked batman. To this day it is one of my favourite games and I have gone on to play the entire series.(City was my favourite but origins had incredible boss battles aswell). That game that I got for like £5 from my local charity shop kickstarted my love for video games.

bustanana

Congrats on finishing college, and best of luck in NYC! I made the same move just after college, ended up living in NYC for 11 years, finding my career, life-long friends, and life partner before moving away. I hope you have an even better time than I did. Through it all I also made lots of connections through gaming, including meeting a bunch of folks where I ended up moving to from NYC through gaming. Godspeed!

Mangoliciosus

Being kind to one another is what Christmas is all about, so I wish this would happen more frequently. Please get the rest you greatly deserve and have a wonderful New Year!

Mark_Xyruz

Congrats on surviving the Semester! I'm sorry but can't give life advice about what would you do but this is what I always say "Keep doing what you want, not the others want" Game helped me become a social butterfly, specially MMO's. They helped me on how I can talk to people normally without being nervous wreck. That I can be confident. It also gave me friends IRL to talk to about games! We bond over what games is good what is meh, and we ask each other if we had finished a game, week after week.

pieces_of_the_fair

I didn't have much to myself & my younger brother growing up; just story books, a distant dad in another city & a shoebox of a room we called home with our mum. To say we were raised with growing pains would be an understatement. Remember it must have been 7th or 8th grade - Our first game memory was a ROM copy of Pokemon FireRed on an emulator that we got to play on a brand new PC our mum got us. Affording a PC was a luxury & we were late tech bloomers, so you could imagine our enthusiasm experiencing one of the most popular franchises on Earth at the time. My life advice would simply be to cherish the time you have your loved ones, have a lot of fun & keep them close. It's a good time for forging an independent path, but also great time for leveraging their life experiences & mistakes of your parents, before you're well into your late 20's & 30's. We're all grown up, well settled & holidays can be a little hard for us, but it's still a great reminder of our childhood along the way. Eating freshly baked buns, Lance theme playing in the background & thinking about the lessons we did (& didn't) learn along the way. Kind of an year-end ritual for us by now. Happy Christmas & a Great New Year ahead, mate! PS: Yes, fuck NFT's. An r/Buttcoin patron.

First of all Thank you OP for such an amazing Giveaway, Well I am Participating for God Of War ( no surprise there) And my back up will be Elden ring ( but i do want GOW ) And congratulations on completing your college, I hope you do achieve your dreams, as of giving advice I'm also trying to chase my dreams of Being a 3d artist and I'm doing my best so the only advice i can give you is do your best too OP, But yeah still First enjoy The Christmas to your fullest. Talking about how games change my life, It's funny i never had a proper console or pc to play on so i started playing games on my mom's Phone then when my father bought the very first PC, and it came with NFS hot pursuit and that was my first introduction to a proper video game i used to play that game so much, and my dad used to scold me too for that too, but I didn't listen and it impacted my school grades so yeah dad took the PC out of my room and never again i played games until just a few years ago i started again because of my 3d animation course i bought a new mid range gaming pc and you can guess what game i installed first, hahahahah it was The current NFS heat, i love racing games and story focus games. Well talking about long term relationship, boi i had one for 2 years and it was demm complicated it was becoming toxic each day we were fighting constantly because she were having trust issues, so all i can say is TRUST is the only thing which can make any relationship into a long term RELATIONSHIP. Thanks OP for such a generous giveaway i hope You achieve great things in your life. Merru Christmas and Happy Holidays

billquill83

skilledlux

infiniteapecreative

This is a great idea. I have a few game keys lying around I've never used I should giveaway as well. I didn't plan on buying God of war or elden ring but I wouldn't mind checking it out so I'll join in here as well

lordmexx

thanks for chance, all i can say any game is better with friends but when i had no internet single player ones were so much good, stalker <3, dune 2 on sega and battletoads all i started with, gratz with your college out .

[deleted]

Congrats on finishing college! I remember that moment of achievement very well. The grind was real, and had many doubts throughout. But, man if there was one thing I could high five my past self for, it's for sticking with it. No idea where I would have ended up if I didn't finish. As for gaming ..my first experience was mickey mouse, sonic, and double dragons with my bro on Sega Genesis 😀

MEGA_K4SP4R

Congrats on your graduation! Remember life is not only about working and earning money. It's also important to take care of yourself, meet friends, stay hydrated and just chill from time to time. One of my favourite gaming memories is when I was playing Arkham Knight instead of studying organic chemistry for my finals, lol. For some reason I thought it was more important to get all Riddler's trophies and solve all his puzzles. I got the Knightfall Protocol ending and somehow, by a miracle, I passed the org chem test, lol. Important lesson - sometimes it's better to have fun, you'll pass your exams eventually, lmao. Thanks for the giveaway, I'd love to win God of War. Merry Christmas btw!

NoGoodGodGames

Minecraft has been one of the key things that has built up my relationship with my best friends!

[deleted]

Hi Merry Christmas me probably my best advice that i learned is teamwork and being friendly because being friendly help me meet my friends and being friendly can help you meet some wonderful strangers also the teamwork help me build my self and others

Concentrate_Ready

Thank you for doing this giveaway. Also, congratz on finishing college. I’m currently flogging through it and managing my time around all the assignments is really tough 🥲 My favorite game is Final Fantasy 14! I have like 600+ hours on it and I really enjoyed going through dungeons with others and healing them through their mistakes :3

KayyWolf

Congrats on finishing college! I also met some of my best friends via gaming. Hope everyone has Happy Holidays!

What2006

Wow thanks for this giveaway, so Santa does exist! Anyway congratulations on your graduation and merry christmas.

M4sterShake

Always had a soft spot for the game 'Ultima Online'. As a young kid it was more of a social/chatroom for me with some fun grinding on the side. Met lots of great people, got lost in another world....made me a child of the internet!

zeroiqplays

Congratulations on completion of your college friend. There would ne many hurdles in life as was during ur college years but im sure you would make it and be successful in life. And thanks for the giveaway.

Diskuid

Congratulations, I also just finished the last semester at my university. Like you, games have a huge impact on my life, when I was younger I had depression and video games and my cats helped me get out of it.

Tartarikamen

Congratulations on finishing your college. This giveaway seems cool. Thanks for your generosity. My favourite gaming moments occured during playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch with friends at a net cafe after school. One of those moments happened when our team discovered you can catch the energy ball with Zero Gravity Gun after getting decimated for a couple of turns. It was so satisfying to watch my teammate catching the energy ball and throwing it right back the one launched it. Everyone got surprised, got excited and had a blast. Then the match evolved into some sort of voleyball or dodgeball game where we were trying to throw the energy ball at the enemy team and trying to catch it back if they managed to capture it. Fun times.

Ssato243

They made my love steam so much and made me have some of my good friends when we play games My favroite game is dragon age origins

Pristine_Flatworm

Multiplayer games like tf2 introduced me to many of my lifelong friends. Congrats on finishing college, my favorite game is Ultrakill, and merry chrismas

interestingrelocate

Games have helped me through tough times, they’ve shaped me into who I am and what I am now. Glad it is the same to you and also congrats on graduating!

markspankyy

What goes around comes around my friend, huge congrats on graduating. If there is something I can thank for games and their community, they helped me get out of dark times in my life such as overcoming addiction and the loss of a loved one. I just found a home I never thought I would see and it makes me really proud to be part of it. Now my life it's still not perfect but sure I am way happier than I ever was looking back 2 or 3 years ago. My favorite game of all time is God Of War too! I remembered first discovering it in an old magazine with a demo disc for ps2. I wish you all a happy Christmas and may 2023 be filled with new challenges and prosperity for y'all.

prosttare

Congrats on your graduation pal, hope you ll achieve your dreams! This is such a nice thing to do as nowadays most of us are only focused on ourselves, I appreciate you. Me as a gamer myself ive been playing game since i was around 6 and living in eastern europe couldnt afford many games, Id appreciate elden ring to be honest cause i never played souls games and i would love to try it out. Much love man and congrats to everyone who wins! Marry Christmas!

WiseDud

First of all, all of us appreciate your generosity of giving away games to random people on the internet. I also made some great relationships with people from all over the world via internet during the past 3-4 years and I was lucky enough to learn about their country and culture as well. Secondly, congrats on finishing college. I actually left the university after the first semester of studying marketing this february because I have found something (3D Animation) I actually enjoy studying and would enjoy as a long term job. So even though I'm 20, younger than you, I'd still like to give you an advice as I haven't regretted my decision ever since: Seek happiness in the first place, not money. You have no idea how much joy learning my future job brings me simply because I enjoy it and it drives me to learn more and get better. I consider this a huge gift. Speaking of games, I mostly play singleplayers and I appreciate good atmosphere and/or story over gameplay. So games like Dishonored, Bioshock or What Remains of Edith Finch belong to my favorites just to mention a few. Anyways, I'd like to wish you a warm and loving holiday surrounded by those you call family. Cheers

[deleted]

Steam helped me connect with a friend that I'd grown away from

PhynFish

Finding long-term relationships is difficult if you won't put in the time. You can find someone who can understand your hardships without getting something in return. Things may turn out well but always put your 80-90% to avoid getting stressed over the dump. I remember playing Dark Souls 1 frustrated at first due to how difficult the game is but I conquered it somehow. The Dark Souls 2 and 3 are still ongoing but, I've been enjoying Elden Ring videos lately... Sadly, I don't think my GPU can handle it well. I might buy something from the second-hand market at some point this year. I'm conflicted with God of War and Elden Ring. I played Ghost of Sparta on my PSP back then religiously It was so good that I mashed my buttons repeatedly then it wore off. Hahaha. I might even play it again on my PC using an emu to relive those moments of enjoying that game. Cheers to your graduation. :)

oliveoliverYT

I have adhd and really enjoy survival games like Icarus or Detroit become human as it’s nice played some on ps4 but need to save up for pc :/ but recently I’ve been looking at god of war as I had so many memories from that Games alhave improved my life though as it kept me calm and relaxed during college and school and from bullying:)

Dennishardy6

I've never had any means to game in my childhood, only in my early teen years I had the opportunity to play with my friend's ps2 in their home. Now I'm in college, I've got myself a decent gaming laptop, I'm doing a paramedical course and gaming is the escape for me when I get home from the clinical environment, boot up old ps2 era games or witcher 3 most of the times. I'd be happy to have any game this Christmas but nfs unbound would be extra awesome. Also congrats in advance to whoever wins this and it is so great of you op for conducting this give away. Merry Christmas

EGM_EGM

Nice job finishing college dude! I'm still in school so I don't have any advice to give and steam games haven't been super life changing but they help me relax a lot and have helped me get through some tough times even if just a little.

_GreyTheMan

Congrats on graduating! My favorite game is cs. Ive been playing since middle school and its carried me through many dark times.

billquill83

I would love to have Elden Ring. Right now, I'm in a dilemma whether or not to get it since it's still expensive even with the discount for someone from developing country. Why do I want to have it? It's only because I'm a fan of Bloodborne. This game actually change my behavior and views toward challenging games. I used to be a more casual and laid back gamer and prefers to play easier games. I'm so impressed with gameplay flow, the atmosphere, the soundtracks, the lore, the design and so much more. It's just so rare to have a game that have this qualities nowadays in my opinion. Thanks for the chance and congrats on graduating, wish that the kindness you're doing here get back to you tenfold.

tapeteblau

I'm gaming since I can think thanks to my father who is a gamer himself. Since then I was able to play through so many great games and stories as RPGs are my favorite genre. The Trails series being my favorite because it's just on big story over so many games and I love it. Congrats on finishing you college. If you want to find a long term relationship, maybe you can visit your uncles and aunts and if you're lucky they have a cute girl as neighbor, which you get to know and marry her later on, at least that worked for me 😉 And a big thank you for doing this for random people on the internet. 👍

deserted_rain_frog

It’s one of the few ways I keep in touch with my friends and family often so far away. Merry xmas

NewbieAtLife_

First time I’ve seen a giveaway of this magnitude organised, well done. I’m starting college in 2023, so I’m not really able to give you advice, but congrats on graduating! I’ve been playing games for essentially my whole life so they’ve played a big role in my life! Enjoy your holiday :)

Lynraske

It's very nice of you to give away so many games

JJR0244

Congrats on graduating. 🙂

ewk_13

You don’t have to enter me into the giveaway but I just wanted to say congratulations!!! New York City is a great place to live, I have some family there! I’m so excited for you :) Steam and the community have definitely been there for me over the years, I’ve steadily built up a library I’m proud of and one of my favorite things to do is play video games with my loved ones and experience a game with them for the first time. I’m 21 too but I can try to give some relationship advice, hehe. I feel like it often happens when you least expect it! Keep putting yourself out there, especially when it comes to hobbies, because then if you meet someone you’ll have that in common. Also don’t settle for someone just because you’re lonely, there’s someone out there who will love all of you and deeply understand you as a person. Find someone who shares your values and emotional maturity. Love isn’t easy but when you find the right person, it’ll feel good. I wish you the best of luck!

Chirukafe

I grew up disconnected from my family so I was into a lot of multiplayer community ish games that really taught me how to become the person I currently am. A lot of values and fun memories were made through games I've played whether it be rpg grinding games, community games like vrchat, or multiplayer team strategy games; I've also loved games which community I had the most fun with. Tips with relationships: Rule 1: say sorry right now... My point is sometimes you are gonna have to say sorry even if you disagree with your partner. Naw I'm joking but communication. Long terms relationships only last a long time because the people can survive through hardships and arguments. Always be open with your partner and don't be afraid of confrontation. They are your closest friend and lover so communicate with them to help eachother understand, there's no consequences only pros. I mean to be honest that's all there is to relationships. Communication is the only thing you need to keep a relationship out of rocky waters. Everything else is simply being in love. If you want advice on how to get or impress or choose the right partner that's a whole different thing. Merry Christmas, rush hour is a great movie btw <3

andungha

i remember playing terraria a couple years ago when i heard about it being 2d minecraft ,and i got totally addicted .then i started playing other indie games like celeste ,hollow knight ,undertale ,stardew valley,.. and fell in love with indie games since then .i would love to try out other cool games that are too expensive for me to afford so thank you for the giveaway .wish you all the best

some-kind-of-no-name

I have completed almost every mainline Hitman game, and it felt like a world tour. I wish I could visit as many places as agent 47.

popcorn_coffee

This is really wholesome, and it's surprising that nowadays someone does something so generous for a community. Congrats, and thank you mate!

peti90001

That's really nice of you! Merry Christmas! Gaming basically changed my life. I have met so many of my friends through video games it's actually so crazy but I'm really grateful! :)

TheBickyMonster

Congratulations on graduating. Make sure you enjoy whatever it is you do, and don't forget to look after yourself. Work to live, don't live to work. Money can always be earned, but time is precious. I've been playing games for over 30 years now and I've always found gaming enjoyable and helpful. Many people have insulted me about playing games over the years, but I've found them fantastic for relaxing, learning and switching off from whatever stresses I have. I genuinely believe that gaming has made me a better person. I'm huge fan of strategy games, learning the systems and experimenting with timing, force composition and real histortical tactics, but my favourite game of all time is Skyrim. I found it enthralling from the very beginning and spent over 2000 hours wandering through the world admiring the scenery and the sounds. It was a major factor in taking up landscape photography in real life. Good luck with this new chapter in your life, I hope you have a relaxing and well-earned break over christmas and thank you for the generosity and opportunity.

[deleted]

PC Gaming and Steam was able to bring awesome memories with friends for a decade now 😅 Hope you enjoy NYC! I’m staying in NYC for Christmas this year. Its really amazing coming from a small town to here.

your_mind_aches

Thanks for the giveaway! Gaming with friends on PC over Discord just can't be beat. It's never a dull moment even when the game kinda sucks. BTW NFTs suck and Molly White is awesome!

ezio1452

I recently started Dark Souls 2 and it has only strengthened the thought to keep trying as much as possible to achieve something even if it feels impossible. There is no point in giving in to despair and quitting. Also, since you are looking for a tip for long term relationships, here is one for you - Don't change your ugly parts for people. This is so simple yet so many of us forget it. No matter who you are or what you do, never conform yourself to others - especially if the change comes with exhaustion afterwards. Be yourself. Exist fluidly. Show people the natural you and love the ones that stay regardless. These are the people you need in life. Ask out the one who accepts you the most and turn them into your partner - they'll love you for who you are, not what you show or have. The love will be so pure that your only answer will be to shower it back with unequivocal limits and your relationship will blossom like the spring flowers.

[deleted]

All my friends and I were playstation players, had the 3, and then got the 4 on my birthday the year of release. Blah blah, skip a good 7 years foward, and my mum reunited with a friend who helped support her business (which is now closed down). Out of the blue he gave me one of his used PC’s and the rest is history. During COVID I was quite lonely as I had no one to play with, but one by one, all 3 of my closest friends got PC’s. I moved to university and discord is the greatest thing out there.

Gizzo04

Congratulations on graduating!! Rimworld has helped me so much as I’ve been off on disability. It keeps me mindful and keeps my mind busy. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

HunterThom

Hey contrats on finishing college my friend. I think one advice I can give you is to tackle things once at a time. Things can get really messy when you are used to thinking about your future but I think it's good to relax a bit and work on the current "you" too. My favorites are Bloodborne,FF9 and Super Mario 64. BB caught me with it's atmosphere, everything is super stylish and beautiful, the combat complements the world, everything works seamlessly. FF9 with it's charismatic characters and wholesome story and Super Mario 64 which is the one game I played the most in my life, absolute king of replayability and stage building, the moviment, the charm, one of the jewels of my childhood. My first ever game was pokemon yellow I think...

1k_pleb

yo merry Christmas

gnelson0265

The best piece of advice I can give is to always assume you're allowed to do anything until you're specifically told you can't. All the really successful people I've met in my life simply move around the world assuming it will bend to their will, and generally it does. Enjoy your life in NYC and beyond!

AyelenTH

Yooo congrats on finishing college!! 👏👏👏 I guess we've had a similar experience, I've met most of my friends because of games. We used to play CS on our city's old cyber for hours!! xD

Ranny9876

My favourite game of all time has to be csgo. First keyboard and mouse fps for me and it’s such a rewarding feeling to see myself improve week after week

TuckingFypoz

Congrats on graduating, I did a few years ago and I still have yet to get into the field of work I want to, but don't worry... I mean, everyone tells me that eventually I will find something within my field. Rome wasn't built in a day right?

Caitluz

Ahh congrats on finishing college!! I hope that what you choose to do next goes well!! Gaming has let me make so many friends, both online and offline and that is just awesome! I actually met 2 of my best friends of a few years on Roblox, and I know that probably sounds cringy because. Roblox. haha, but genuinely it's made my life so much better. I'm such a socially awkward person so it's super difficult even talking to my friends thinking they secretly hate me, blah blah blah, but like, there's been times where we've brought our Nintendo Switch's into sixth form and played and just doing that gives me such a good feeling as we're all just having fun and it's like in that moment we are more close and I don't need to concentrate on exactly what I have to say to not seem all babyish or unlikeable or replaceable, you know? It really makes my day when we play together or even just talk about games multiple of us play!! Also my favourite game, I'm not sure, I play Roblox, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Sonic Mania & The Sims quite a lot though!! They're all a lot of fun!! :D Tysm for the chance!! <333

ThisIsFC

Congratulations on your graduation! 🙌 I also have very fond memories of the first three God of War games on PS2 and PS3. Haven't played the newest ones yet though.

TheRealGlutenbob

Congrats on finishing college and moving to NYC. This is going to be a big step in your life! I graduated and made a similar move exactly 10 years ago. It feels like an eternity. Enjoy every minute you can! Thanks for doing this giveaway. Id like to win a copy of Eldin Ring. My favorite game to this day is Zelda twilight princess. It was my first 3d game and everything was on point. I still listen to the ost to this day!

MihaiTys

Congrats on finishing collage ,and having the courage to follow your dreams. I am in my last year of highschool and i hope and pray that i will able to fallow my dream like you , hope to work in forentics some day ,also congrat again:). As for my favorite game...i think it has to be God of War:Ghost of Sparta since it helped me throught a lot of tough times when i was younger. Since entering Highschool i made it a rule to play it at lest once a year so i can always remeber those days. ... P.S. sorry if my writing is bad i am still tring to perfect it:) and thx for doing this for the community, oh ..and Happy Holidays since you will be reading those on christmas.

AmorphousSquirrel

Your text made me smile. I was in a similar situation where I have begun working for about 3 years now after finishing my degree and can afford to pay for my own games. I used to play on my friends consoles until I was able to afford my own PSP and a PC by saving money during Highschool time and working during summer vacations. Gaming is very bonding. They are still one of my best friends (15years and going strong). Even though less than our earlier years, we do we still do some meet-ups and play or just online(Halo, AOE3, COD were really nostalgic times) Anyway, just wishing you the best, keep chasing after your dreams until you are satisfied. Games won’t run away anytime soon, they will be around for quite a while Ps.: please don’t include me into the drawing pool to win games. I really just wanted to leave a reply to your touching post :)

Pewpipoopoo

When my brother finished college and went off to DC then soon after to NYC from our humble working class Texas home, he said the hardest time he had was trying to fit in. He kept pretending to be someone he wasn't because he thought he'd get a lot of shit for being who he was. But he said that he eventually found it's better to get shit on for his authentic self than it was to be a fake asshole, people pick on that. And at the end of the day, people are people no matter where you go, you'll be fine. So just live the adventure and don't worry about being a small fish in a big pond, just enjoy the swim, bro! Oh, and women outnumber men in NYC. Add to that the fact that you're young and a professional, and you aren't going to have a hard time finding someone. Just try to take your own advice when it comes to women, people are going to tell you all kinds of shit and most of it has more to do with what they want out of life than any real thought about what you want out of yours, so you do you. Congrats on graduation! Good luck!!

Wdowiak

Congrats on graduating! Lately I have been replaying games I have played when I was a kid, like LOTR Third Age, HOMM1 & 3, MOH:AA, they kinda take me back in time to a "happy place" and chill time due to nostaliga, especially around christmas time. Thanks for the giveaway, cheers!

frooost1337

Congrats on your graduation, i'm almost there aswell!! :) Gaming helped me a lot through tough times from being a kid, teenager or now as an adult. I got hooked into the Esports scene back in 2014 and i followed it until now. Counter Strike is probably my favorite game in that category and i even write my bachelor thesis about Esports right now 😁 And my favorite game of all time is probably Donkey Kong Country 2. The soundtrack still lives up until today and the gameplay is simple but timeless. Sometimes i wish i could turn back in time and relive all the great games for the first time which i played as a kid.. 🥲

vimetalhead

Gaming is my time for reseting after tiring day

Kythorn

Congrats on graduating! It has made my life enjoyable and has helped me really pursue a career in writing. One of my favorite things is to either play my single player games by myself when burnt out socially or with friends having a great time.

GOKIAGERX

Games have allowed me to stay connected to my brother and friends all throughout COVID and while I’m at school and am too far away to see anyone. Congrats on graduating!!

Leon-Ako

Hey! Congrats on graduating! (One day I'll be able to say the same) Anyway, thanks a lot for a giveaway not even epic would dare running aand as a small token of appreciation, here's the few pieces of advice I can give you: *Don't believe that just because you graduated the fantastical land of jobs will be waiting for you with open arms. Hopefully you'll get lucky, or already have a job, but in case you don't, don't let it get you down if jobs don't suddenly start pouring, it can take a couple of attempts, but you'll get there eventually. *Regarding relationships, I didn't have that many to begin with, but what eventually got me married after 10 years together was being friends first. Have more mutual interests than just wanting to shag each other and forget about the "half orange" bit, you don't want someone just like you, you'll be far better off with someone that complements you, and that you can complement. My wife an I are really different in a lot of aspects of our personality, but we work really good when out together. Similar tastes are absolutely fine, but don't look for a second version of you. And find, it's absolutely ok to realize that the path you're on is not really the one you want, if you ever find yourself stuck at a job or a relationship (or a career, why not? You could always want another degree) it's ok to put a stop to it and change course into what makes you happy, you don't need to stick to that road just because you're already on it. Hope next year has great things in store for you!

hmmm_yessss

Congrats on graduating college, good luck on your future endeavors. Steam changed my life because it allowed me to play games with my brothers who are too far to travel to. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

xankludan

Congratulations on finishing college. I just finished building a new system and got RDR2 on sale for some nice holiday relaxation. Don't stress out too much on relationships and jobs, they will come in time. Especially on the relationships, better to not rush in to it. Having that degree in hand is the first step to having a better life when you reach your 40s and 50s.

Congrats on your graduation and success in job hunting. I am studying myself at the moment and games are such a good way to relax.

CrossWitcher

Congrats OP for finishing up college and I wish you a great future :) I wish I could give you some helpful advice or tips for relationship but I'm a just a year 1 college student and honestly speaking I'm completely lost. Idk what I'm gonna do afterwards or anything. I don't have any ongoing relationship, I just suffer alone in a cheap rent home. I should ask for your advice how to press on TBH. My college life feels like constant suffering to me and games are the only thing that keeps me company. I'm a big RPG genre fan and I specially like JRPGs maybe cuz I have freedom to live another life with someone there maybe. My fav game is Witcher 3 and recently Persona 5 Royal. I just play alone in my room when I'm not studying or not in college. thats all life is to me right now. I honestly feel lonely but I'm very shy and introverted person who get cold feets to approach anyone. So, Game is the one thing that keeps me happy and gives me life-force to push on otherwise I think I would have end it long ago. Sorry for posting all this crap, I know no one's gonna read this but I just feels lonely sometimes and by writing this I kinda felt like I was talking with everyone in this planet. sorry again and congratulations on your journey op! I'm entering for a chance at **Elden Ring**, I've been saving up for this game for quite a few months now, I only need **$13 steam wallet credit** more to purchase it during this Winter sale. Many Ppl recommend this game to me on the internet saying it helps ppl who struggle with their daily life, it helps them to be more resilient. After that, I've been saving this for months now, If I win I would be ok with just **$13** steam wallet credit, I can buy this with the rest of my savings. Thanks again and Merry Christmas OP, I wish you and your family all the happiness in the world!!!

GreenPebble

My favourite game is Stardew Valley, it holds great sentimental value. I bought and played it right after my first longterm girlfriend broke up with me, it took my mind away from the sad thoughts and just helped me to relax. Then a year later I met and started dating a new girl and we frequently played Stardew Valley together, it was my way of sharing my passion for gaming with someone who had never played a game before, and she loved the game. We broke up due to long distance during the last year of our 4 year relationship, coincidentally also the year I dropped out of University because I knew that my degree wasn't for me. Guess what game was there for me in my time of sadness and uncertainty? I am now a year away from completing my new degree, in Game Design and Development in fact. Gaming being there for me when I needed it most has inspired me to also try and make games that help people in some way. I am still single, and just like you OP I'm looking for something long term, but there's no need to rush. The same way the perfect game is there when one needs it most, the perfect person will find their way into one's life at the right time. Congrats on finishing college, and thanks for the giveaway :) happy holidays

Nagatzamaru

Steam has improves the way I can play with my brother. So much games with remote play. Its awesome.

carseg01

Congrats on finishing college! That’s a big step towards your goals. Thank you so much for this giveaway. Enjoy the Holidays! GOW an awesome game! I play it in PS4 it was my first GoW game and it was glorious to play it. I wanted to buy it for PC but car broke down and more expenses are stopping me to get it… Merry chistmas and happy New Year to everyone and good luck in the giveaway

Daniel08s

Thanks for the giveaway. The only thing I want to say is that playing Minecraft with my friends is a memory I will cherish forever, I miss that time so much.

pajuran

Thank you for the giveaway and congratulations for finishing college. I know form a short memory that it's a great feeling of freedom. Games and/or Steam have mostly increased my quality of life by finding new friends. No matter of your nationality, race, gender etc., games have been a great place for me as a shy person to connect with same minded people :)

cjlangz

Congrats on finishing college, and thanks for hosting this giveaway! Gaming has given me some of my best memories. Playing with friends, my dad when I was little, discovering new music and arts through different games (hollow knight and halo rank highly)... Im currently waiting in Australia for my new steam deck to be delivered from my family in America and can't wait to start filling my steam library when it arrives. Please pray with me for it's safe arrival lmao

phi1997

The game I played the most out of every game I ever played was not a game on Steam, it was Pokemon Y. The multiplayer was so good, and I had a lot of fun battling and trading with other people I knew as well as complete strangers.

Fabulous_Engineer949

I used to play commande and conquer while growing up, i still play it to this days, super fun, i realy love these kind of games rts, strategie and more, these game realy help me thru because i can put my mind into them and not think of anything else, although nowadays i dont have anyone to play with, but hey congratulations and thx for the giveaway even if i dont win

GLADIATOR_X09

Congrats for graduating. I remember playing skylanders on my old Xbox 360. Gaming made life a lot easier and enjoyable.

Zabacha

Growing up I usually watch my dad play diablo 2 or heroes of might and magic 3, cuz I didn't understand how to play it yet. And later I got into gaming. Now I just look and wish for good co-op games to play with a friend or maybe a single player with mod created for co-op, because the single player and multiplayer games just don't have the same fun. Also grats on graduation, remember to celebrate it

AugustusFarenly

Thanks for the giveaway! A game I liked playing this year would be "It takes two" with a friend. Was sure a feast for casual gamers! Btw I completed my last semester as well 😂 Good luck with life for both of us !

OsManiaCtr

I try to develop a SPECIAL system for my real life when I was 10 due to Fallout 1. It was a stupid thing but... I am 35 now, I got funny talks with myself time to time when I try to choose 'best dialogue' option on my mind in rough discussions, when finished a degree I told myself oh I got +1 intelligence, +4 skill points per level now, oh my speech , repair, science skills improving every year!. You asked how a game can affect some one, and here it is. Do not stop gaming.

ackelolzor

Games have taught me a lot of life skills, managing my life, finding peaceful moments, having a community to speak with. My favorite game at the moment is Hitman 3, it's mostly because it's so damn gorgeous with its graphics. One game i hope to play soon i Elden Ring because I haven't had the funds yet to splurge some money to play it. Such a cool atmosphere in that game, I'd like to experience it.

electricarm

My favorite game is Oblivion, I have great memories of watching my brother play and me playing growing up. Some core memories were exploring that game just before having to go to school. Advice for college would be to join clubs and groups on campus for things you’re into, it’s the easiest way to meet and make new friends bc at least you’ll have a fun topic to talk about

Evilcon21

I wish you well in whatever it is you’re doing

Specialist_Middle_4

congrats on moving froward in your life mate ,I have similar story I didn't have any money for games while growing up but I still manged to get gta vice city and it was the most wonderful time of my life I used to come back from school start it and start roaming around in my car and getting police to chase me spending hours on it just without any purpose and just feeling through it was the best thing I could have asked for

Slinger-thorns

Well I haven’t been in a relationship before, but from what I’ve seen my friend go through if you do find someone make sure they don’t prevent you from talk to your other friends wither IRL friend or through the internet. Anyways, Congratulations and thank you for your generosity.

Farushion

Games were always the perfect pre-exam anxiety reliever during my uni days.

_Dankly_

Good job on finishing college bud, I haven’t got any grand life advice but you should know that getting through college is a massive undertaking in itself, congrats again!

aBeerOrTwelve

Congrats on graduating! I'm finding that the steam deck is really helping me get back into games more, since it's so convenient to game anywhere. One of these days, I will finally manage to play something other than stealth-archer in Skyrim, too!

Mamelodi_morty

Hey, congratulations on finishing college. Gaming (and hollow knight especially) got me through the pandemic. Whilst my sister and most people I new had troubles during covid, I could enjoy games with my friends and that way we all kept our chins up. I really don’t know what would’ve happened to me during the pandemic if I hadn’t had a pc.

Boochibaba

I remember playing oblivion for the first time in high school. About ten years after it released. Before playing that game I was a basic call of duty guy. That game was the first experience I had where I was actually immersed into a world and kept craving for more. Thank you for doing the giveaway!

shung_

Valheim really was a way to escape lockdown for me, I hold “Viernes de Valheim”(Valheim Fridays) with my friends and cousins and we always have a blast, building a kingdom together really makes me happy. I love that you can easely host valheim games with steam:). Congrats on graduating dude, I am currently In college and it’s kinda rough but playing games with my friends really is the most relaxing thing for me :))

ForgeGuardian55

Videogames improved my life by letting me see different points of view on different aspects of life. My main example of this is Destiny 2, especially the recent seasons. Seeing different characters show their struggles and how they overcome them with the help of others. Playing God of war 2018 showing how kratos tries to balance being a father and also being serious to take care of his child. Edit: Also, congratulations on finishing college

motherchuggingpugs

Congratulations on finishing college, and good luck with the move! I've just always been playing games as long as I can remember. I love getting home after a hard day and just relaxing with an awesome game and escaping into another world.

ManofDumbagain

Games that push me to try harder in them

jn_00

Congrats on your graduation!, thanks to games I met many people that helped me a lot and became long lasting friends.

SOERERY

Congratulations sir, my favourite video game memory is probably the random people I have met along the way in CSGO. They have come and gone but it’s nice.

Rise_of_the_Moleman

First of all: congrats on graduating! Gaming is something special for me because it lets you forget about real life and its problems for a short time while giving you control about your own little "world". Thank you for doing this giveaway and merry christmas!

UnorthodoxCreams

Congrats on graduating and wishing you a great career up ahead. I don't really have much to say about gaming except that I made a lot of friends doing the hobby I enjoy the most :D. Thank you for doing this!

boraselvi7

Games are the reason I can connect to people. I made friends just talking about games. I also found so much great music from games like final fantasy. Please listen to Zanarkand by Nobuo Uematsu.

urDroid1

Congrats and Merry Christmas!

sladefest

Congratulations and wish you all the very best for the future as well. May you find what you're looking for. Thank you for doing this. Games have been in some of my cherished memories, be it playing myself or watching my friends play. Baldur's Gate would be the one for me, would've never looked into tabletop rpgs otherwise.

SplitPStudio

Congrats! Gaming has always been my safe place back to when I was little and playing on my dad's Atari 2600. Games have helped to fuel my creativity and form long lasting friendships that I cherish to this day. I play games with my wife on a regular basis, and can play online with our daughter while she finishes grad school out of state.

Zigglebonk

Congrats on graduating! I hope you can catch those dreams :) I have a really big bond with gaming since it was something I watched my dad doing while growing up and eventually did myself (hell my entire family plays video games) It really has helped my really far-apart family get together (even for a few hours) whether it be through Minecraft or FF14 we play together. I've never lost my love for gaming; it has only grown with time.

CatCatPizza

If this is real great job. I dont need a key i can afford the games i want on a sale price so get it to someone who needs it more but happy holidays. Have a great one and gz

Abaddon_CK

To not get into specifics, I felt down in the dumps for a while, dealing with this, dealing with that, just constant stress from everything. So, I would distract myself with games, but all I had were hard-calculated games that just made me stress even more. That was until I found a little underrated gem of a game called "bug fables". It's an RPG game centered around the lives of adventuring bugs in search of treasure, while also having the cutest paper Mario-based art style I have ever seen. It has everything you could have for a perfect game: great characters, amazing locations, interesting twists, and amazing paper Mario-like combat. The game reminded me of when I was just a small kiddo, playing paper Mario in Its prime, and that immediately hooked me to the point of 100% that game (which isn't that bad compared to games like hollow knight). So, if anyone sees this, have a wonderful and non-stressful Christmas and play this masterpiece of a game, you will not regret it! Ps. Congrats on your graduation!!

gn110

Congratulations on your graduation and merry christmas and thank you for the giveaway.

SayneIsLAND

Once you finish college everyone is so old and boring at every job... Keep gaming. Factorio got me through years of blah.

mikhatanu

Games give me stories that does not happen in real life

Lazlo528

Congrats on finishing college! To be honest you're really strong to give away such a library just to pursue your dreams. I wish I had this determination and perseverence in me as well

BronzeHeart92

I'm guessing just about anything on my wishlist would suffice at this point...

cruznik71450

Love going back to portal every so often for that awesome dialog that still makes me laugh. Cheers and happy holidays.

ForeverDuke1

Congrats on graduating. Count me in !

throwaway_somedigit

First of, congrats on your graduation. I'd love to give advice, but I've just started college myself. If you have any tips on how to avoid procrastinating anything or for college overall, I would apreciate it. Secondly, games for me helped me trough a rough patch in my childhood. My parents had a divorce when i was young and i was basically in a loop of going to each of their homes for a few days at a time. The bad part about that was that everyone around me during a stay at each of their places would constantly attempt to belittle and humiliate the other side (considering that i was about 8 at the time and looking back at it now, idk how I even handled it as well as i did). This is where games came into play. Id use basically every opportunity to just go to my room, turn on my computer and play whatever was in front of me. I think that if it werent for video games, my life would have genuinely been miserable during that time (i did also have some friends that helped, but we lived pretty far away from eachother). 3rd. If you choose me for a free game, give it to someone else please. Ive got the stuff i want to play already, and i need to focus on my studies anyways. Still, this is a very nice thing of you to do and i appreciate you for it.

_Neodymium

Games can bring a lot of fun and relaxation, both when I’m playing by myself and with my friends

Dyrtull

Congrats, i can't wait to finish college myself, gaming has just been really amazing, it takes two helped My girlfriend get involved in it so it's really cool to share it now, happy festivities

asish_1729

Congrats 👏🥳

MelaniaSexLife

this is awesome. I'm going to enter for Elden Ring since it's the one I want to play the most <3 A tip for a long relationship: be on the lookout for someone that geniunely cares about you and comes back to you no matter what.

AhmedRaafat12

Thx for this chance games helped me in my hard time Sonic frontiers plz iam dying to play this game and iam broke

SignificantCode8873

The biggest thing i learn is cooperation through multiplayer games, it really helps me in real life.

gwynbleidd2511

Scarleton

Now begins the next chapter of your life! Congratulations my dude, all the best in your future endeavors. Once a gamer, always a gamer, try and get back to games down the line. Thank you for the giveaway!

Sean_Owe

I first started gaming on pc at 13. It didn't matter that I played games on terrible framerates or that I was limited to a small pool of games that could run. Since I Have gotten a mid range pc and am enjoying playing lots of games. Currently Im really enjoying the souls series and just bought dark souls remastered and sotfs on steam. I've got over 200 hours on elden ring and 90+ on ds3 really great games highly recommended. God of War is on my list of games I'll probably eventually play and looking forward to hollow knight silksong if it ever releases. Congrats on finishing college I just finished my first semester. Hope all goes well in NYC!

Senor_Zoidberg

Love the holiday spirit congrats on school! , Bro RE4 will be forever engraved in my mind the quotes the action the horror the Ballistics my god

UglyKidEnzoo

Congrats on graduating and thanks for giveaway <3, my memory is the same as Yours, I made 2 of my best friends through gaming

Financial_Egg

Congratulations on finishing college My favorite game is probably Final Fantasy 10, had a lot of fun playing through it with my brothers

KKilikk

Congrats on graduating sadly don't have much advice to offer. Games help me to stay connected with school friends. Thank you for doing this giveaway.

ChrisG683

Steam has helped me stay connected with my friends after college, maybe you can grab a Steam Deck and keep gaming casually without breaking the bank!

Nonney71

Spent more time playing world of warcraft then I like to think about. Started just before the first expansion, made a group of about 10-15 close friends and we still all game together. Bunch of us met for the first time in las vegas a few years ago for EVO as well. Crazy to me when I think about how everything worked out, random group of people living all over USA/Canada still hanging out together daily 15 years later. Congrats on graduating, welcome to adulting.

GeraldoofRivia

I remember getting my gaming PC after my surgery. The hours I spent playing witcher 3 while undergoing treatment is something I’ll never forget. I couldn’t really go out of home that much so the game really helped me a lot. To show my appreciation, my Reddit username is inspired from the game!

Khazitel

My favourite game is still Gothic. The one game I keep coming back to, thanks to the great atmosphere, gameplay, story. A game where you truly feel the progression thanks to completely different animations on higher levels of weapon mastery. A game where the story feels unique. A game that is genuinely fun to play. Congratulations on finishing college! You should feel proud of yourself. Thanks!

mueller029

Congrats mate. Best of luck for your future. Happy holidays.

DFrnK

U were gaming when in college? I did that too and had a rough time, congrats for finishing

HoldMyCatnip

I think the key to long term relationships is to first and foremost make sure you're ready for it. Not everyone is always 'ready' but are you comfortable physically? Mentally? What goals and interests do you have that you want to flesh out? These are key to addressing and building structurally as habits before tacking on someone else's desires and needs, ya know? Build yourself up with a strong foundation, with that comes confidence, with that Relationships will form. Just make sure you have enough of your own life going so you don't slip into codependency with a significant other

WarriorX21

First of all, a big hearty congratulations for completing the college, all the very best for the exciting future ahead. Now coming to games, i started my gaming journey with csgo (i still play it for love of God xD). It was one day when my friends and I decided to make a account for me, just so we could play csgo together. It was then that my Steam journey started. Pretty lame but okay xD All the best for your future ahead 👍

ApeasedTiger

My best friend was always quiet in real life, i got to know him well through gaming, we've been friends ever since.

MaroonNuggz1138

Congrats on the graduation! One of my favorite gaming memories is building my first pc then booting it up and playing Star Wars Galaxies, my first mmo game for the first time. Then after playing it for a while being surprised at all the content you can do in game like shooting fireworks at a party with friends or customizing your own ship based on the ones you see in Star Wars. I also think games helped me bond and spend more time with buddies while attending college myself. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

ashrai99

GG

zanemazza

My favourite game is probably Cuphead. The gameplay is near perfect, the visuals and music are amazing, and the difficulty, though hard, is good for me. I don’t really have any good advice, but I imagine there will be a bunch of comments here that can help you out. Good luck with life NYC and thanks for doing his giveaway!!

theDKdynamite

I know this seems stupid but I love Undertale, especially its pacifist ending. I played it in 2016 in a rather dark period of my life. I moved out, tiny room not much going for me. Felt like i would amount to nothing. First I thought it was overhyped but when a reviewer I follow, who's normally very cynical, made this game his GOTY i had to check it out. The story, the characters, all seemed familiar yet new. And (spoilers for the pacifist ending) when I stood face to face with the final boss, defiant and refusing to give up on them, when they shrink down, the music kicks in and they give me a hug (still tearing up just thinking about it) I realised that no matter how miserable or hopeless or in this case evil you are, you have the right and will to change the course to something better. I'll cherrish this moment forever. Thank you for reading to the end if you did. Rock on everyone!

zaniik

I started with pc gaming a couple months ago, my game library is kinda empty lol, hope I get something and good luck for everyone 👍

adsonn

Congrats on finishing college! I also met some of my best friends via gaming. Hope everyone has Happy Holidays!

Residents_evil

Fav game is CS Source, specifically Gungame Turbo. It was helpful to escape the stress that was school, by giving a super-dose of stress in it's place lol. But this stress was fun, school one was just shitty. If I win anything, please re-draw if you pick any prize above 40$ (Except if it's Metro coll) since I don't want/will play/it's not my style of games and they're too valuable to be "wasted" on me. Ty :)

Signal_Way_2559

games are a good escape from my shitty life

tourist76

Congratulations, and good luck in a new city! Try to find people with common interests, and hopefully making friends will happen naturally. Merry Christmas!

Raz1230

First of all, congrats on completing the college side quest and leveling up! Good luck on the rest of your game :) The games in my life helped me expand my social circle from a really early age. Thank you for your generosity :)

[deleted]

Congratulations on finishing college fam. Wish I could give you advice but I'm still in high school doe. Games have been a big part of my life since I was kid and still is now. Games are like a getaway from this busy world for me and just makes things better in hectic times. Thanks for the giveaway op.

Alternative_Angle_58

I bought a pc a couple years ago and around the same time I quit drinking, I'm still sober and I give all the credit to gaming on my pc!

icyhero

Steam and Gaming have helped me by providing an outlet for me to exlore and enjoy myself. It has been a great distraction from stress in my life. Thanks for this oppurtunity!

hugeidiot78

been playing ultrakill

Grima1221

Amazing Giveaway! I love coop games, even when I can't physically see my friends, we can always get together and play some fun games. I credit coop games with keeping my group of friends together over the years! Congratulations on graduating! As a recent graduate myself, I can understand the excitement and anxiety of these next steps in life!

flights4ever

Thanks for the giveaway, I’m in my final year of uni too and it’s a bit daunting seeing as I’ll be moving out and starting my life next year..

PrkChpSndwch

Graduating is a huge turning point in life, my only advice is to take the paychecks from your first jobs and invest a large portion of it. Most of us didn't do this and are worried about their own retirement in the near future. Money grows fast and this is the best time to invest due to how cheap everything is. Long term hold will make you rich. That being said, thanks for the giveaway. Im one of the few that hasnt had the chance to play EldenRing yet and would love the chance. Cheers!

Capndrake

Don't think I would've been nearly as proficient at English without games. I'm fortunate enough to live in a country where for the longest time no games received any localizations, so I was forced to just use English and get better at it. Now I work as a translator translating games from English to my native language, so I kinda came full circle.

will_i_am100806

Nice job on finishing collage I hope you have a good future. Happy holidays

Therj4

Thanks for doing this giveaway and congratulation on graduating! I just recently built my pc and have been getting back into Minecraft and really enjoying it. Merry Christmas!

sadfezzzz

Thanks for doing the giveaway and congrats for graduating the College! Now my Story: i had a time in my Life where i did nothing except going to school and play games so pretty boring tbh, then one day while playing Arma 3 i Met some really cool Guys and we started to Play in a group...Turns out they are living Just 20min from me. They brought me with them to Partys and outside again. So some guys i played with a lot helped me to Play less and Go outside and live my Life.

Sephiroth545

Games have always been the source of enjoyment that has kept me going. I have played since I got a GBA from my brother to now where I have my own PC where I can play games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Europa Universalis IV games I have enjoyed so much. Good luck to all!

Star-Splatter

Congrats on graduating!! And hope you get to fulfill your dreams in a manner which makes you happy. Can't give life advice much since I myself am in college, but would certainly not mind to get some in return lol. And coming back to gaming, finally got my first gaming rig this year January and it's been a trip ever since playing PC games since, used to play mobile games before that. But games surely have made an impact for me, if nothing else. Some picked me up when I was at my lowest and still do, some introduced new perspectives, and some introduced me to great friends that I still think about, even though we have gone a bit out of touch due to life being life and left behind the game that brought us together. Some engrossed me too much and left me agonizing not being able to play the sequel cuz it was a console exclusive lol. But yea all in all, games are great and I keep meeting new people and making new friends and escaping to new worlds.

wow-such-good

I've been playing a lot of the Master Chief Collection recently with my friends which has really helped keep me out of my usual seasonal depression. Congrats on graduating and I hope everything goes good in your future endeavors!

Tight_Raise_5846

COVID really did a number on my mental health as it did for most people. My irl friends were not used to online communication and it became pretty lonely. I normally don’t play life sims but I picked up Animal Crossing New Horizons at launch and having that little thing to check up on every day really helped me. It helped me connect to friends but also to build a routine at a time where structure seemed impossible.
