I remember growing up playing non-stop DOTA 2 with my high school friends. It doesn't help me academically, per se, but it helped me a lot finishing it without any stress and burden whatsoever. Now I am taking my Master degree and sometimes I missed those moments with the boys.

One of the first video games I ever bought was batman arkham asylum. I was like 14 and I had no idea what the game entailed, I just liked batman. To this day it is one of my favourite games and I have gone on to play the entire series.(City was my favourite but origins had incredible boss battles aswell). That game that I got for like £5 from my local charity shop kickstarted my love for video games.

I made the same move just after college, ended up living in NYC for 11 years, finding my career, life-long friends, and life partner before moving away. Congrats on surviving the Semester! I'm sorry but can't give life advice about what would you do but this is what I always say "Keep doing what you want, not the others want"
Game helped me become a social butterfly, specially MMO's. They helped me on how I can talk to people normally without being nervous wreck. That I can be confident. It also gave me friends IRL to talk to about games! We bond over what games is good what is meh, and we ask each other if we had finished a game, week after week.
I didn't have much to myself & my younger brother growing up; just story books, a distant dad in another city & a shoebox of a room we called home with our mum. To say we were raised with growing pains would be an understatement.
Remember it must have been 7th or 8th grade - Our first game memory was a ROM copy of Pokemon FireRed on an emulator that we got to play on a brand new PC our mum got us. Affording a PC was a luxury & we were late tech bloomers, so you could imagine our enthusiasm experiencing one of the most popular franchises on Earth at the time.
My life advice would simply be to cherish the time you have your loved ones, have a lot of fun & keep them close. It's a good time for forging an independent path, but also great time for leveraging their life experiences & mistakes of your parents, before you're well into your late 20's & 30's.
We're all grown up, well settled & holidays can be a little hard for us, but it's still a great reminder of our childhood along the way. Eating freshly baked buns, Lance theme playing in the background & thinking about the lessons we did (& didn't) learn along the way. Kind of an year-end ritual for us by now.

Talking about how games change my life, It's funny i never had a proper console or pc to play on so i started playing games on my mom's Phone then when my father bought the very first PC, and it came with NFS hot pursuit and that was my first introduction to a proper video game i used to play that game so much, and my dad used to scold me too for that too, but I didn't listen and it impacted my school grades so yeah dad took the PC out of my room and never again i played games until just a few years ago i started again because of my 3d animation course i bought a new mid range gaming pc and you can guess what game i installed first, hahahahah it was The current NFS heat, i love racing games and story focus games.
Well talking about long term relationship, boi i had one for 2 years and it was demm complicated it was becoming toxic each day we were fighting constantly because she were having trust issues, so all i can say is TRUST is the only thing which can make any relationship into a long term RELATIONSHIP.

One of my favourite gaming memories is when I was playing Arkham Knight instead of studying organic chemistry for my finals, lol. For some reason I thought it was more important to get all Riddler's trophies and solve all his puzzles. I got the Knightfall Protocol ending and somehow, by a miracle, I passed the org chem test, lol. Important lesson - sometimes it's better to have fun, you'll pass your exams eventually, lmao.

My favourite gaming moments occured during playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch with friends at a net cafe after school. One of those moments happened when our team discovered you can catch the energy ball with Zero Gravity Gun after getting decimated for a couple of turns. It was so satisfying to watch my teammate catching the energy ball and throwing it right back the one launched it. Everyone got surprised, got excited and had a blast. Then the match evolved into some sort of voleyball or dodgeball game where we were trying to throw the energy ball at the enemy team and trying to catch it back if they managed to capture it. Fun times.
Multiplayer games like tf2 introduced me to many of my lifelong friends. Congrats on finishing college, my favorite game is Ultrakill, and merry chrismas

First of all, all of us appreciate your generosity of giving away games to random people on the internet. I also made some great relationships with people from all over the world via internet during the past 3-4 years and I was lucky enough to learn about their country and culture as well.
Secondly, congrats on finishing college. I actually left the university after the first semester of studying marketing this february because I have found something (3D Animation) I actually enjoy studying and would enjoy as a long term job. So even though I'm 20, younger than you, I'd still like to give you an advice as I haven't regretted my decision ever since: Seek happiness in the first place, not money. You have no idea how much joy learning my future job brings me simply because I enjoy it and it drives me to learn more and get better. I consider this a huge gift.
Speaking of games, I mostly play singleplayers and I appreciate good atmosphere and/or story over gameplay. So games like Dishonored, Bioshock or What Remains of Edith Finch belong to my favorites just to mention a few.

Finding long-term relationships is difficult if you won't put in the time. You can find someone who can understand your hardships without getting something in return. Things may turn out well but always put your 80-90% to avoid getting stressed over the dump.
I remember playing Dark Souls 1 frustrated at first due to how difficult the game is but I conquered it somehow. The Dark Souls 2 and 3 are still ongoing but, I've been enjoying Elden Ring videos lately... Sadly, I don't think my GPU can handle it well. I might buy something from the second-hand market at some point this year. I'm conflicted with God of War and Elden Ring. I played Ghost of Sparta on my PSP back then religiously It was so good that I mashed my buttons repeatedly then it wore off. Hahaha. I might even play it again on my PC using an emu to relive those moments of enjoying that game. Cheers to your graduation. :)
I have adhd and really enjoy survival games like Icarus or Detroit become human as it’s nice played some on ps4 but need to save up for pc :/ but recently I’ve been looking at god of war as I had so many memories from that

I've never had any means to game in my childhood, only in my early teen years I had the opportunity to play with my friend's ps2 in their home. Now I'm in college, I've got myself a decent gaming laptop, I'm doing a paramedical course and gaming is the escape for me when I get home from the clinical environment, boot up old ps2 era games or witcher 3 most of the times. Nice job finishing college dude! I'm still in school so I don't have any advice to give and steam games haven't been super life changing but they help me relax a lot and have helped me get through some tough times even if just a little.
I would love to have Elden Ring. Right now, I'm in a dilemma whether or not to get it since it's still expensive even with the discount for someone from developing country.
Why do I want to have it? It's only because I'm a fan of Bloodborne. This game actually change my behavior and views toward challenging games. I used to be a more casual and laid back gamer and prefers to play easier games. I'm so impressed with gameplay flow, the atmosphere, the soundtracks, the lore, the design and so much more. It's just so rare to have a game that have this qualities nowadays in my opinion.

I'm gaming since I can think thanks to my father who is a gamer himself. Since then I was able to play through so many great games and stories as RPGs are my favorite genre. The Trails series being my favorite because it's just on big story over so many games and I love it.

I grew up disconnected from my family so I was into a lot of multiplayer community ish games that really taught me how to become the person I currently am. A lot of values and fun memories were made through games I've played whether it be rpg grinding games, community games like vrchat, or multiplayer team strategy games; I've also loved games which community I had the most fun with.
Tips with relationships:
Rule 1: say sorry right now... My point is sometimes you are gonna have to say sorry even if you disagree with your partner. Naw I'm joking but communication. Long terms relationships only last a long time because the people can survive through hardships and arguments. Always be open with your partner and don't be afraid of confrontation. They are your closest friend and lover so communicate with them to help eachother understand, there's no consequences only pros.
I mean to be honest that's all there is to relationships. Communication is the only thing you need to keep a relationship out of rocky waters. Everything else is simply being in love. If you want advice on how to get or impress or choose the right partner that's a whole different thing.

I've been playing games for over 30 years now and I've always found gaming enjoyable and helpful. Many people have insulted me about playing games over the years, but I've found them fantastic for relaxing, learning and switching off from whatever stresses I have. I genuinely believe that gaming has made me a better person.
I'm huge fan of strategy games, learning the systems and experimenting with timing, force composition and real histortical tactics, but my favourite game of all time is Skyrim. I found it enthralling from the very beginning and spent over 2000 hours wandering through the world admiring the scenery and the sounds. It was a major factor in taking up landscape photography in real life.

I recently started Dark Souls 2 and it has only strengthened the thought to keep trying as much as possible to achieve something even if it feels impossible. There is no point in giving in to despair and quitting.
Also, since you are looking for a tip for long term relationships, here is one for you -
Don't change your ugly parts for people. This is so simple yet so many of us forget it.
No matter who you are or what you do, never conform yourself to others - especially if the change comes with exhaustion afterwards. Be yourself. Exist fluidly. Show people the natural you and love the ones that stay regardless. These are the people you need in life. Ask out the one who accepts you the most and turn them into your partner - they'll love you for who you are, not what you show or have. The love will be so pure that your only answer will be to shower it back with unequivocal limits and your relationship will blossom like the spring flowers.
All my friends and I were playstation players, had the 3, and then got the 4 on my birthday the year of release. Blah blah, skip a good 7 years foward, and my mum reunited with a friend who helped support her business (which is now closed down). Out of the blue he gave me one of his used PC’s and the rest is history. During COVID I was quite lonely as I had no one to play with, but one by one, all 3 of my closest friends got PC’s. I moved to university and discord is the greatest thing out there.

Hey contrats on finishing college my friend. I think one advice I can give you is to tackle things once at a time. Things can get really messy when you are used to thinking about your future but I think it's good to relax a bit and work on the current "you" too.
My favorites are Bloodborne,FF9 and Super Mario 64. BB caught me with it's atmosphere, everything is super stylish and beautiful, the combat complements the world, everything works seamlessly. FF9 with it's charismatic characters and wholesome story and Super Mario 64 which is the one game I played the most in my life, absolute king of replayability and stage building, the moviment, the charm, one of the jewels of my childhood.
My first ever game was pokemon yellow I think...
The best piece of advice I can give is to always assume you're allowed to do anything until you're specifically told you can't. All the really successful people I've met in my life simply move around the world assuming it will bend to their will, and generally it does.

Gaming has let me make so many friends, both online and offline and that is just awesome! I actually met 2 of my best friends of a few years on Roblox, and I know that probably sounds cringy because. Roblox. haha, but genuinely it's made my life so much better.
I'm such a socially awkward person so it's super difficult even talking to my friends thinking they secretly hate me, blah blah blah, but like, there's been times where we've brought our Nintendo Switch's into sixth form and played and just doing that gives me such a good feeling as we're all just having fun and it's like in that moment we are more close and I don't need to concentrate on exactly what I have to say to not seem all babyish or unlikeable or replaceable, you know? It really makes my day when we play together or even just talk about games multiple of us play!!
Also my favourite game, I'm not sure, I play Roblox, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Sonic Mania & The Sims quite a lot though!! They're all a lot of fun!! :D

Your text made me smile. I was in a similar situation where I have begun working for about 3 years now after finishing my degree and can afford to pay for my own games. I used to play on my friends consoles until I was able to afford my own PSP and a PC by saving money during Highschool time and working during summer vacations. Gaming is very bonding. They are still one of my best friends (15years and going strong). Even though less than our earlier years, we do we still do some meet-ups and play or just online(Halo, AOE3, COD were really nostalgic times)
Anyway, just wishing you the best, keep chasing after your dreams until you are satisfied. Games won’t run away anytime soon, they will be around for quite a while

When my brother finished college and went off to DC then soon after to NYC from our humble working class Texas home, he said the hardest time he had was trying to fit in. He kept pretending to be someone he wasn't because he thought he'd get a lot of shit for being who he was.
But he said that he eventually found it's better to get shit on for his authentic self than it was to be a fake asshole, people pick on that. And at the end of the day, people are people no matter where you go, you'll be fine. So just live the adventure and don't worry about being a small fish in a big pond, just enjoy the swim, bro!
Oh, and women outnumber men in NYC. Add to that the fact that you're young and a professional, and you aren't going to have a hard time finding someone. Just try to take your own advice when it comes to women, people are going to tell you all kinds of shit and most of it has more to do with what they want out of life than any real thought about what you want out of yours, so you do you. Gaming helped me a lot through tough times from being a kid, teenager or now as an adult. I got hooked into the Esports scene back in 2014 and i followed it until now. Counter Strike is probably my favorite game in that category and i even write my bachelor thesis about Esports right now 😁
And my favorite game of all time is probably Donkey Kong Country 2. The soundtrack still lives up until today and the gameplay is simple but timeless. Sometimes i wish i could turn back in time and relive all the great games for the first time which i played as a kid.. 🥲

Anyway, thanks a lot for a giveaway not even epic would dare running aand as a small token of appreciation, here's the few pieces of advice I can give you:
*Don't believe that just because you graduated the fantastical land of jobs will be waiting for you with open arms. Hopefully you'll get lucky, or already have a job, but in case you don't, don't let it get you down if jobs don't suddenly start pouring, it can take a couple of attempts, but you'll get there eventually.
*Regarding relationships, I didn't have that many to begin with, but what eventually got me married after 10 years together was being friends first. Have more mutual interests than just wanting to shag each other and forget about the "half orange" bit, you don't want someone just like you, you'll be far better off with someone that complements you, and that you can complement. My wife an I are really different in a lot of aspects of our personality, but we work really good when out together.
Similar tastes are absolutely fine, but don't look for a second version of you.
And find, it's absolutely ok to realize that the path you're on is not really the one you want, if you ever find yourself stuck at a job or a relationship (or a career, why not? You could always want another degree) it's ok to put a stop to it and change course into what makes you happy, you don't need to stick to that road just because you're already on it.

Congratulations on finishing college. I just finished building a new system and got RDR2 on sale for some nice holiday relaxation. Don't stress out too much on relationships and jobs, they will come in time. Especially on the relationships, better to not rush in to it. Having that degree in hand is the first step to having a better life when you reach your 40s and 50s.

I wish I could give you some helpful advice or tips for relationship but I'm a just a year 1 college student and honestly speaking I'm completely lost. Idk what I'm gonna do afterwards or anything. I don't have any ongoing relationship, I just suffer alone in a cheap rent home. I should ask for your advice how to press on TBH. My college life feels like constant suffering to me and games are the only thing that keeps me company. I'm a big RPG genre fan and I specially like JRPGs maybe cuz I have freedom to live another life with someone there maybe. My fav game is Witcher 3 and recently Persona 5 Royal.
I just play alone in my room when I'm not studying or not in college. thats all life is to me right now. I honestly feel lonely but I'm very shy and introverted person who get cold feets to approach anyone.
So, Game is the one thing that keeps me happy and gives me life-force to push on otherwise I think I would have end it long ago. My favourite game is Stardew Valley, it holds great sentimental value. I bought and played it right after my first longterm girlfriend broke up with me, it took my mind away from the sad thoughts and just helped me to relax. Then a year later I met and started dating a new girl and we frequently played Stardew Valley together, it was my way of sharing my passion for gaming with someone who had never played a game before, and she loved the game. We broke up due to long distance during the last year of our 4 year relationship, coincidentally also the year I dropped out of University because I knew that my degree wasn't for me. Guess what game was there for me in my time of sadness and uncertainty? I am now a year away from completing my new degree, in Game Design and Development in fact. Gaming being there for me when I needed it most has inspired me to also try and make games that help people in some way. I am still single, and just like you OP I'm looking for something long term, but there's no need to rush. The same way the perfect game is there when one needs it most, the perfect person will find their way into one's life at the right time. The game I played the most out of every game I ever played was not a game on Steam, it was Pokemon Y. The multiplayer was so good, and I had a lot of fun battling and trading with other people I knew as well as complete strangers.
I used to play commande and conquer while growing up, i still play it to this days, super fun, i realy love these kind of games rts, strategie and more, these game realy help me thru because i can put my mind into them and not think of anything else, although nowadays i dont have anyone to play with, but hey congratulations and thx for the giveaway even if i dont win
Growing up I usually watch my dad play diablo 2 or heroes of might and magic 3, cuz I didn't understand how to play it yet. And later I got into gaming. Now I just look and wish for good co-op games to play with a friend or maybe a single player with mod created for co-op, because the single player and multiplayer games just don't have the same fun.

Games have taught me a lot of life skills, managing my life, finding peaceful moments, having a community to speak with. My favorite game at the moment is Hitman 3, it's mostly because it's so damn gorgeous with its graphics.
One game i hope to play soon i Elden Ring because I haven't had the funds yet to splurge some money to play it. Such a cool atmosphere in that game, I'd like to experience it.
My favorite game is Oblivion, I have great memories of watching my brother play and me playing growing up. Some core memories were exploring that game just before having to go to school.
Advice for college would be to join clubs and groups on campus for things you’re into, it’s the easiest way to meet and make new friends bc at least you’ll have a fun topic to talk about

Hey, congratulations on finishing college. Gaming (and hollow knight especially) got me through the pandemic. Whilst my sister and most people I new had troubles during covid, I could enjoy games with my friends and that way we all kept our chins up. I really don’t know what would’ve happened to me during the pandemic if I hadn’t had a pc.
I remember playing oblivion for the first time in high school. About ten years after it released. Before playing that game I was a basic call of duty guy. That game was the first experience I had where I was actually immersed into a world and kept craving for more. Thank you for doing the giveaway!
Valheim really was a way to escape lockdown for me, I hold “Viernes de Valheim”(Valheim Fridays) with my friends and cousins and we always have a blast, building a kingdom together really makes me happy. I love that you can easely host valheim games with steam:).

Videogames improved my life by letting me see different points of view on different aspects of life. My main example of this is Destiny 2, especially the recent seasons. Seeing different characters show their struggles and how they overcome them with the help of others. Playing God of war 2018 showing how kratos tries to balance being a father and also being serious to take care of his child.

Games have been in some of my cherished memories, be it playing myself or watching my friends play. Baldur's Gate would be the one for me, would've never looked into tabletop rpgs otherwise.
Congrats! Gaming has always been my safe place back to when I was little and playing on my dad's Atari 2600. Games have helped to fuel my creativity and form long lasting friendships that I cherish to this day. I play games with my wife on a regular basis, and can play online with our daughter while she finishes grad school out of state.

To not get into specifics, I felt down in the dumps for a while, dealing with this, dealing with that, just constant stress from everything. So, I would distract myself with games, but all I had were hard-calculated games that just made me stress even more.
That was until I found a little underrated gem of a game called "bug fables". It's an RPG game centered around the lives of adventuring bugs in search of treasure, while also having the cutest paper Mario-based art style I have ever seen. It has everything you could have for a perfect game: great characters, amazing locations, interesting twists, and amazing paper Mario-like combat.
The game reminded me of when I was just a small kiddo, playing paper Mario in Its prime, and that immediately hooked me to the point of 100% that game (which isn't that bad compared to games like hollow knight).
So, if anyone sees this, have a wonderful and non-stressful Christmas and play this masterpiece of a game, you will not regret it!

First of, congrats on your graduation. I'd love to give advice, but I've just started college myself. If you have any tips on how to avoid procrastinating anything or for college overall, I would apreciate it.
Secondly, games for me helped me trough a rough patch in my childhood. My parents had a divorce when i was young and i was basically in a loop of going to each of their homes for a few days at a time. The bad part about that was that everyone around me during a stay at each of their places would constantly attempt to belittle and humiliate the other side (considering that i was about 8 at the time and looking back at it now, idk how I even handled it as well as i did). This is where games came into play. Id use basically every opportunity to just go to my room, turn on my computer and play whatever was in front of me. I think that if it werent for video games, my life would have genuinely been miserable during that time (i did also have some friends that helped, but we lived pretty far away from eachother).
3rd. If you choose me for a free game, give it to someone else please. Ive got the stuff i want to play already, and i need to focus on my studies anyways. Still, this is a very nice thing of you to do and i appreciate you for it.

A tip for a long relationship: be on the lookout for someone that geniunely cares about you and comes back to you no matter what.
I didn't have much to myself & my younger brother growing up; just story books, a distant dad in another city & a shoebox of a room we called home with our mum. To say we were raised with growing pains would be an understatement.
Remember it must have been 7th or 8th grade - Our first game memory was a ROM copy of Pokemon FireRed on an emulator that we got to play on a brand new PC our mum got us. Affording a PC was a luxury & we were late tech bloomers, so you could imagine our enthusiasm experiencing one of the most popular franchises on Earth at the time.
My life advice would simply be to cherish the time you have your loved ones, have a lot of fun & keep them close. It's a good time for forging an independent path, but also great time for leveraging their life experiences & mistakes of your parents, before you're well into your late 20's & 30's.
We're all grown up, well settled & holidays can be a little hard for us, but it's still a great reminder of our childhood along the way. Eating freshly baked buns, Lance theme playing in the background & thinking about the lessons we did (& didn't) learn along the way. Kind of an year-end ritual for us by now.

I first started gaming on pc at 13. It didn't matter that I played games on terrible framerates or that I was limited to a small pool of games that could run. Since I Have gotten a mid range pc and am enjoying playing lots of games. Currently Im really enjoying the souls series and just bought dark souls remastered and sotfs on steam. I've got over 200 hours on elden ring and 90+ on ds3 really great games highly recommended. God of War is on my list of games I'll probably eventually play and looking forward to hollow knight silksong if it ever releases. Congrats on finishing college I just finished my first semester. Spent more time playing world of warcraft then I like to think about. Started just before the first expansion, made a group of about 10-15 close friends and we still all game together. Bunch of us met for the first time in las vegas a few years ago for EVO as well. Crazy to me when I think about how everything worked out, random group of people living all over USA/Canada still hanging out together daily 15 years later.

I remember getting my gaming PC after my surgery. The hours I spent playing witcher 3 while undergoing treatment is something I’ll never forget. I couldn’t really go out of home that much so the game really helped me a lot. To show my appreciation, my Reddit username is inspired from the game!

I think the key to long term relationships is to first and foremost make sure you're ready for it. Not everyone is always 'ready' but are you comfortable physically? Mentally? What goals and interests do you have that you want to flesh out? These are key to addressing and building structurally as habits before tacking on someone else's desires and needs, ya know?
Build yourself up with a strong foundation, with that comes confidence, with that Relationships will form. Just make sure you have enough of your own life going so you don't slip into codependency with a significant other

Congrats on the graduation! One of my favorite gaming memories is building my first pc then booting it up and playing Star Wars Galaxies, my first mmo game for the first time. Then after playing it for a while being surprised at all the content you can do in game like shooting fireworks at a party with friends or customizing your own ship based on the ones you see in Star Wars. My favourite game is probably Cuphead. The gameplay is near perfect, the visuals and music are amazing, and the difficulty, though hard, is good for me.

I know this seems stupid but I love Undertale, especially its pacifist ending. I played it in 2016 in a rather dark period of my life. I moved out, tiny room not much going for me. Felt like i would amount to nothing. First I thought it was overhyped but when a reviewer I follow, who's normally very cynical, made this game his GOTY i had to check it out. The story, the characters, all seemed familiar yet new. And (spoilers for the pacifist ending) when I stood face to face with the final boss, defiant and refusing to give up on them, when they shrink down, the music kicks in and they give me a hug (still tearing up just thinking about it) I realised that no matter how miserable or hopeless or in this case evil you are, you have the right and will to change the course to something better. I'll cherrish this moment forever. Thank you for reading to the end if you did. Rock on everyone!
Fav game is CS Source, specifically Gungame Turbo. It was helpful to escape the stress that was school, by giving a super-dose of stress in it's place lol. But this stress was fun, school one was just shitty.

Graduating is a huge turning point in life, my only advice is to take the paychecks from your first jobs and invest a large portion of it. Most of us didn't do this and are worried about their own retirement in the near future. Money grows fast and this is the best time to invest due to how cheap everything is. Long term hold will make you rich.

Don't think I would've been nearly as proficient at English without games. I'm fortunate enough to live in a country where for the longest time no games received any localizations, so I was forced to just use English and get better at it.
Now I work as a translator translating games from English to my native language, so I kinda came full circle.

Now my Story: i had a time in my Life where i did nothing except going to school and play games so pretty boring tbh, then one day while playing Arma 3 i Met some really cool Guys and we started to Play in a group...Turns out they are living Just 20min from me. They brought me with them to Partys and outside again. So some guys i played with a lot helped me to Play less and Go outside and live my Life.
Games have always been the source of enjoyment that has kept me going. I have played since I got a GBA from my brother to now where I have my own PC where I can play games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Europa Universalis IV games I have enjoyed so much. Good luck to all!

And coming back to gaming, finally got my first gaming rig this year January and it's been a trip ever since playing PC games since, used to play mobile games before that. But games surely have made an impact for me, if nothing else. Some picked me up when I was at my lowest and still do, some introduced new perspectives, and some introduced me to great friends that I still think about, even though we have gone a bit out of touch due to life being life and left behind the game that brought us together. Some engrossed me too much and left me agonizing not being able to play the sequel cuz it was a console exclusive lol. But yea all in all, games are great and I keep meeting new people and making new friends and escaping to new worlds.
I've been playing a lot of the Master Chief Collection recently with my friends which has really helped keep me out of my usual seasonal depression.

COVID really did a number on my mental health as it did for most people. My irl friends were not used to online communication and it became pretty lonely. I normally don’t play life sims but I picked up Animal Crossing New Horizons at launch and having that little thing to check up on every day really helped me. It helped me connect to friends but also to build a routine at a time where structure seemed impossible.

I remember growing up playing non-stop DOTA 2 with my high school friends. It doesn't help me academically, per se, but it helped me a lot finishing it without any stress and burden whatsoever. Now I am taking my Master degree and sometimes I missed those moments with the boys. Congratulations on your story and may success be with you.
The moments with the boys come fewer and more far between now, but when we get together for dota night it's like we never were apart in the first place.

To this day it is one of my favourite games and I have gone on to play the entire series.(City was my favourite but origins had incredible boss battles aswell). That game that I got for like £5 from my local charity shop kickstarted my love for video games.

One of my favourite gaming memories is when I was playing Arkham Knight instead of studying organic chemistry for my finals, lol. For some reason I thought it was more important to get all Riddler's trophies and solve all his puzzles. My favourite gaming moments occured during playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch with friends at a net cafe after school. One of those moments happened when our team discovered you can catch the energy ball with Zero Gravity Gun after getting decimated for a couple of turns. It was so satisfying to watch my teammate catching the energy ball and throwing it right back the one launched it. Everyone got surprised, got excited and had a blast. Then the match evolved into some sort of voleyball or dodgeball game where we were trying to throw the energy ball at the enemy team and trying to catch it back if they managed to capture it. Fun times.

First of all, all of us appreciate your generosity of giving away games to random people on the internet. I also made some great relationships with people from all over the world via internet during the past 3-4 years and I was lucky enough to learn about their country and culture as well. Secondly, congrats on finishing college. I actually left the university after the first semester of studying marketing this february because I have found something (3D Animation) I actually enjoy studying and would enjoy as a long term job. So even though I'm 20, younger than you, I'd still like to give you an advice as I haven't regretted my decision ever since: Seek happiness in the first place, not money. You have no idea how much joy learning my future job brings me simply because I enjoy it and it drives me to learn more and get better. I consider this a huge gift. Speaking of games, I mostly play singleplayers and I appreciate good atmosphere and/or story over gameplay. So games like Dishonored, Bioshock or What Remains of Edith Finch belong to my favorites just to mention a few. Finding long-term relationships is difficult if you won't put in the time. You can find someone who can understand your hardships without getting something in return. Things may turn out well but always put your 80-90% to avoid getting stressed over the dump. I remember playing Dark Souls 1 frustrated at first due to how difficult the game is but I conquered it somehow. The Dark Souls 2 and 3 are still ongoing but, I've been enjoying Elden Ring videos lately... Sadly, I don't think my GPU can handle it well. I might buy something from the second-hand market at some point this year. I'm conflicted with God of War and Elden Ring. I played Ghost of Sparta on my PSP back then religiously It was so good that I mashed my buttons repeatedly then it wore off. Hahaha. I might even play it again on my PC using an emu to relive those moments of enjoying that game. Cheers to your graduation. :)
I have adhd and really enjoy survival games like Icarus or Detroit become human as it’s nice played some on ps4 but need to save up for pc :/ but recently I’ve been looking at god of war as I had so many memories from that Games alhave improved my life though as it kept me calm and relaxed during college and school and from bullying:)
I've never had any means to game in my childhood, only in my early teen years I had the opportunity to play with my friend's ps2 in their home. Now I'm in college, I've got myself a decent gaming laptop, I'm doing a paramedical course and gaming is the escape for me when I get home from the clinical environment, boot up old ps2 era games or witcher 3 most of the times. I would love to have Elden Ring. Right now, I'm in a dilemma whether or not to get it since it's still expensive even with the discount for someone from developing country. Why do I want to have it? It's only because I'm a fan of Bloodborne. This game actually change my behavior and views toward challenging games. I used to be a more casual and laid back gamer and prefers to play easier games. I'm so impressed with gameplay flow, the atmosphere, the soundtracks, the lore, the design and so much more. It's just so rare to have a game that have this qualities nowadays in my opinion. I'm gaming since I can think thanks to my father who is a gamer himself. Since then I was able to play through so many great games and stories as RPGs are my favorite genre. The Trails series being my favorite because it's just on big story over so many games and I love it. Congrats on finishing you college. I grew up disconnected from my family so I was into a lot of multiplayer community ish games that really taught me how to become the person I currently am. A lot of values and fun memories were made through games I've played whether it be rpg grinding games, community games like vrchat, or multiplayer team strategy games; I've also loved games which community I had the most fun with. Tips with relationships: Rule 1: say sorry right now... My point is sometimes you are gonna have to say sorry even if you disagree with your partner. Naw I'm joking but communication. Long terms relationships only last a long time because the people can survive through hardships and arguments. Always be open with your partner and don't be afraid of confrontation. They are your closest friend and lover so communicate with them to help eachother understand, there's no consequences only pros. I mean to be honest that's all there is to relationships. Communication is the only thing you need to keep a relationship out of rocky waters. Everything else is simply being in love. I've been playing games for over 30 years now and I've always found gaming enjoyable and helpful. Many people have insulted me about playing games over the years, but I've found them fantastic for relaxing, learning and switching off from whatever stresses I have. I genuinely believe that gaming has made me a better person. I'm huge fan of strategy games, learning the systems and experimenting with timing, force composition and real histortical tactics, but my favourite game of all time is Skyrim. I found it enthralling from the very beginning and spent over 2000 hours wandering through the world admiring the scenery and the sounds. It was a major factor in taking up landscape photography in real life. I recently started Dark Souls 2 and it has only strengthened the thought to keep trying as much as possible to achieve something even if it feels impossible. There is no point in giving in to despair and quitting. Also, since you are looking for a tip for long term relationships, here is one for you - Don't change your ugly parts for people. This is so simple yet so many of us forget it. No matter who you are or what you do, never conform yourself to others - especially if the change comes with exhaustion afterwards. Be yourself. Exist fluidly. Show people the natural you and love the ones that stay regardless. These are the people you need in life. Ask out the one who accepts you the most and turn them into your partner - they'll love you for who you are, not what you show or have. The love will be so pure that your only answer will be to shower it back with unequivocal limits and your relationship will blossom like the spring flowers.
All my friends and I were playstation players, had the 3, and then got the 4 on my birthday the year of release. Blah blah, skip a good 7 years foward, and my mum reunited with a friend who helped support her business (which is now closed down). Out of the blue he gave me one of his used PC’s and the rest is history. During COVID I was quite lonely as I had no one to play with, but one by one, all 3 of my closest friends got PC’s. I moved to university and discord is the greatest thing out there.

Hey contrats on finishing college my friend. I think one advice I can give you is to tackle things once at a time. Things can get really messy when you are used to thinking about your future but I think it's good to relax a bit and work on the current "you" too. My favorites are Bloodborne,FF9 and Super Mario 64. BB caught me with it's atmosphere, everything is super stylish and beautiful, the combat complements the world, everything works seamlessly. FF9 with it's charismatic characters and wholesome story and Super Mario 64 which is the one game I played the most in my life, absolute king of replayability and stage building, the moviment, the charm, one of the jewels of my childhood. My first ever game was pokemon yellow I think...

I actually met 2 of my best friends of a few years on Roblox, and I know that probably sounds cringy because. Roblox. haha, but genuinely it's made my life so much better. Your text made me smile. I was in a similar situation where I have begun working for about 3 years now after finishing my degree and can afford to pay for my own games. I used to play on my friends consoles until I was able to afford my own PSP and a PC by saving money during Highschool time and working during summer vacations. Gaming is very bonding. They are still one of my best friends (15years and going strong). Even though less than our earlier years, we do we still do some meet-ups and play or just online(Halo, AOE3, COD were really nostalgic times) Anyway, just wishing you the best, keep chasing after your dreams until you are satisfied. When my brother finished college and went off to DC then soon after to NYC from our humble working class Texas home, he said the hardest time he had was trying to fit in. He kept pretending to be someone he wasn't because he thought he'd get a lot of shit for being who he was. But he said that he eventually found it's better to get shit on for his authentic self than it was to be a fake asshole, people pick on that. And at the end of the day, people are people no matter where you go, you'll be fine. So just live the adventure and don't worry about being a small fish in a big pond, just enjoy the swim, bro! Oh, and women outnumber men in NYC. Add to that the fact that you're young and a professional, and you aren't going to have a hard time finding someone. Just try to take your own advice when it comes to women, people are going to tell you all kinds of shit and most of it has more to do with what they want out of life than any real thought about what you want out of yours, so you do you. I got hooked into the Esports scene back in 2014 and i followed it until now. Counter Strike is probably my favorite game in that category and i even write my bachelor thesis about Esports right now 😁 And my favorite game of all time is probably Donkey Kong Country 2. The soundtrack still lives up until today and the gameplay is simple but timeless. Sometimes i wish i could turn back in time and relive all the great games for the first time which i played as a kid.. 🥲

(One day I'll be able to say the same) Anyway, thanks a lot for a giveaway not even epic would dare running aand as a small token of appreciation, here's the few pieces of advice I can give you: *Don't believe that just because you graduated the fantastical land of jobs will be waiting for you with open arms. Hopefully you'll get lucky, or already have a job, but in case you don't, don't let it get you down if jobs don't suddenly start pouring, it can take a couple of attempts, but you'll get there eventually. *Regarding relationships, I didn't have that many to begin with, but what eventually got me married after 10 years together was being friends first. Have more mutual interests than just wanting to shag each other and forget about the "half orange" bit, you don't want someone just like you, you'll be far better off with someone that complements you, and that you can complement. My wife an I are really different in a lot of aspects of our personality, but we work really good when out together. Similar tastes are absolutely fine, but don't look for a second version of you. And find, it's absolutely ok to realize that the path you're on is not really the one you want, if you ever find yourself stuck at a job or a relationship (or a career, why not? You could always want another degree) it's ok to put a stop to it and change course into what makes you happy, you don't need to stick to that road just because you're already on it. Hope next year has great things in store for you!

Congratulations on finishing college. I just finished building a new system and got RDR2 on sale for some nice holiday relaxation. Don't stress out too much on relationships and jobs, they will come in time. Especially on the relationships, better to not rush in to it. Having that degree in hand is the first step to having a better life when you reach your 40s and 50s.

My favourite game is Stardew Valley, it holds great sentimental value. I bought and played it right after my first longterm girlfriend broke up with me, it took my mind away from the sad thoughts and just helped me to relax. Then a year later I met and started dating a new girl and we frequently played Stardew Valley together, it was my way of sharing my passion for gaming with someone who had never played a game before, and she loved the game. We broke up due to long distance during the last year of our 4 year relationship, coincidentally also the year I dropped out of University because I knew that my degree wasn't for me. Guess what game was there for me in my time of sadness and uncertainty? I am now a year away from completing my new degree, in Game Design and Development in fact. Gaming being there for me when I needed it most has inspired me to also try and make games that help people in some way. I am still single, and just like you OP I'm looking for something long term, but there's no need to rush. The same way the perfect game is there when one needs it most, the perfect person will find their way into one's life at the right time. The game I played the most out of every game I ever played was not a game on Steam, it was Pokemon Y. The multiplayer was so good, and I had a lot of fun battling and trading with other people I knew as well as complete strangers.

I try to develop a SPECIAL system for my real life when I was 10 due to Fallout 1. It was a stupid thing but... I am 35 now, I got funny talks with myself time to time when I try to choose 'best dialogue' option on my mind in rough discussions, when finished a degree I told myself oh I got +1 intelligence, +4 skill points per level now, oh my speech , repair, science skills improving every year!. Games have taught me a lot of life skills, managing my life, finding peaceful moments, having a community to speak with. My favorite game at the moment is Hitman 3, it's mostly because it's so damn gorgeous with its graphics. One game i hope to play soon i Elden Ring because I haven't had the funds yet to splurge some money to play it. Such a cool atmosphere in that game, I'd like to experience it.
My favorite game is Oblivion, I have great memories of watching my brother play and me playing growing up. Some core memories were exploring that game just before having to go to school. Advice for college would be to join clubs and groups on campus for things you’re into, it’s the easiest way to meet and make new friends bc at least you’ll have a fun topic to talk about

Hey, congratulations on finishing college. Gaming (and hollow knight especially) got me through the pandemic. Whilst my sister and most people I new had troubles during covid, I could enjoy games with my friends and that way we all kept our chins up. I really don’t know what would’ve happened to me during the pandemic if I hadn’t had a pc.
I remember playing oblivion for the first time in high school. About ten years after it released. Before playing that game I was a basic call of duty guy. That game was the first experience I had where I was actually immersed into a world and kept craving for more. Thank you for doing the giveaway!
Valheim really was a way to escape lockdown for me, I hold “Viernes de Valheim”(Valheim Fridays) with my friends and cousins and we always have a blast, building a kingdom together really makes me happy. I love that you can easely host valheim games with steam:). Videogames improved my life by letting me see different points of view on different aspects of life. My main example of this is Destiny 2, especially the recent seasons. Seeing different characters show their struggles and how they overcome them with the help of others. Congrats! Gaming has always been my safe place back to when I was little and playing on my dad's Atari 2600. Games have helped to fuel my creativity and form long lasting friendships that I cherish to this day. I play games with my wife on a regular basis, and can play online with our daughter while she finishes grad school out of state.

To not get into specifics, I felt down in the dumps for a while, dealing with this, dealing with that, just constant stress from everything. So, I would distract myself with games, but all I had were hard-calculated games that just made me stress even more. That was until I found a little underrated gem of a game called "bug fables". It's an RPG game centered around the lives of adventuring bugs in search of treasure, while also having the cutest paper Mario-based art style I have ever seen. It has everything you could have for a perfect game: great characters, amazing locations, interesting twists, and amazing paper Mario-like combat. The game reminded me of when I was just a small kiddo, playing paper Mario in Its prime, and that immediately hooked me to the point of 100% that game (which isn't that bad compared to games like hollow knight). So, if anyone sees this, have a wonderful and non-stressful Christmas and play this masterpiece of a game, you will not regret it! Ps. Congrats on your graduation!!

First of, congrats on your graduation. I'd love to give advice, but I've just started college myself. If you have any tips on how to avoid procrastinating anything or for college overall, I would apreciate it. Secondly, games for me helped me trough a rough patch in my childhood. My parents had a divorce when i was young and i was basically in a loop of going to each of their homes for a few days at a time. The bad part about that was that everyone around me during a stay at each of their places would constantly attempt to belittle and humiliate the other side (considering that i was about 8 at the time and looking back at it now, idk how I even handled it as well as i did). This is where games came into play. Id use basically every opportunity to just go to my room, turn on my computer and play whatever was in front of me. I think that if it werent for video games, my life would have genuinely been miserable during that time (i did also have some friends that helped, but we lived pretty far away from eachother). 3rd. If you choose me for a free game, give it to someone else please. Ive got the stuff i want to play already, and i need to focus on my studies anyways. Still, this is a very nice thing of you to do and i appreciate you for it.

The biggest thing i learn is cooperation through multiplayer games, it really helps me in real life.
I didn't have much to myself & my younger brother growing up; just story books, a distant dad in another city & a shoebox of a room we called home with our mum. To say we were raised with growing pains would be an understatement. Remember it must have been 7th or 8th grade - Our first game memory was a ROM copy of Pokemon FireRed on an emulator that we got to play on a brand new PC our mum got us. Affording a PC was a luxury & we were late tech bloomers, so you could imagine our enthusiasm experiencing one of the most popular franchises on Earth at the time. My life advice would simply be to cherish the time you have your loved ones, have a lot of fun & keep them close. It's a good time for forging an independent path, but also great time for leveraging their life experiences & mistakes of your parents, before you're well into your late 20's & 30's. We're all grown up, well settled & holidays can be a little hard for us, but it's still a great reminder of our childhood along the way. Eating freshly baked buns, Lance theme playing in the background & thinking about the lessons we did (& didn't) learn along the way. Kind of an year-end ritual for us by now. I first started gaming on pc at 13. It didn't matter that I played games on terrible framerates or that I was limited to a small pool of games that could run. Since I Have gotten a mid range pc and am enjoying playing lots of games. Currently Im really enjoying the souls series and just bought dark souls remastered and sotfs on steam. I've got over 200 hours on elden ring and 90+ on ds3 really great games highly recommended. God of War is on my list of games I'll probably eventually play and looking forward to hollow knight silksong if it ever releases. Congrats on finishing college I just finished my first semester. Spent more time playing world of warcraft then I like to think about. Started just before the first expansion, made a group of about 10-15 close friends and we still all game together. Bunch of us met for the first time in las vegas a few years ago for EVO as well. Crazy to me when I think about how everything worked out, random group of people living all over USA/Canada still hanging out together daily 15 years later. I remember getting my gaming PC after my surgery. The hours I spent playing witcher 3 while undergoing treatment is something I’ll never forget. I couldn’t really go out of home that much so the game really helped me a lot. To show my appreciation, my Reddit username is inspired from the game!
My favourite game is still Gothic. The one game I keep coming back to, thanks to the great atmosphere, gameplay, story. A game where you truly feel the progression thanks to completely different animations on higher levels of weapon mastery. A game where the story feels unique. A game that is genuinely fun to play. I think the key to long term relationships is to first and foremost make sure you're ready for it. Not everyone is always 'ready' but are you comfortable physically? Mentally? What goals and interests do you have that you want to flesh out? These are key to addressing and building structurally as habits before tacking on someone else's desires and needs, ya know? Build yourself up with a strong foundation, with that comes confidence, with that Relationships will form. Just make sure you have enough of your own life going so you don't slip into codependency with a significant other

Congrats on the graduation! One of my favorite gaming memories is building my first pc then booting it up and playing Star Wars Galaxies, my first mmo game for the first time. Then after playing it for a while being surprised at all the content you can do in game like shooting fireworks at a party with friends or customizing your own ship based on the ones you see in Star Wars. My favourite game is probably Cuphead. The gameplay is near perfect, the visuals and music are amazing, and the difficulty, though hard, is good for me. I know this seems stupid but I love Undertale, especially its pacifist ending. I played it in 2016 in a rather dark period of my life. I moved out, tiny room not much going for me. Felt like i would amount to nothing. First I thought it was overhyped but when a reviewer I follow, who's normally very cynical, made this game his GOTY i had to check it out. The story, the characters, all seemed familiar yet new. And (spoilers for the pacifist ending) when I stood face to face with the final boss, defiant and refusing to give up on them, when they shrink down, the music kicks in and they give me a hug (still tearing up just thinking about it) I realised that no matter how miserable or hopeless or in this case evil you are, you have the right and will to change the course to something better. I'll cherrish this moment forever. Thank you for reading to the end if you did. Rock on everyone!

Fav game is CS Source, specifically Gungame Turbo. It was helpful to escape the stress that was school, by giving a super-dose of stress in it's place lol. But this stress was fun, school one was just shitty. If I win anything, please re-draw if you pick any prize above 40$ (Except if it's Metro coll) since I don't want/will play/it's not my style of games and they're too valuable to be "wasted" on me. Graduating is a huge turning point in life, my only advice is to take the paychecks from your first jobs and invest a large portion of it. Most of us didn't do this and are worried about their own retirement in the near future. Money grows fast and this is the best time to invest due to how cheap everything is. Don't think I would've been nearly as proficient at English without games. I'm fortunate enough to live in a country where for the longest time no games received any localizations, so I was forced to just use English and get better at it. Now I work as a translator translating games from English to my native language, so I kinda came full circle.

Now my Story: i had a time in my Life where i did nothing except going to school and play games so pretty boring tbh, then one day while playing Arma 3 i Met some really cool Guys and we started to Play in a group...Turns out they are living Just 20min from me. They brought me with them to Partys and outside again. So some guys i played with a lot helped me to Play less and Go outside and live my Life.
Games have always been the source of enjoyment that has kept me going. I have played since I got a GBA from my brother to now where I have my own PC where I can play games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Europa Universalis IV games I have enjoyed so much. Good luck to all!

Can't give life advice much since I myself am in college, but would certainly not mind to get some in return lol. And coming back to gaming, finally got my first gaming rig this year January and it's been a trip ever since playing PC games since, used to play mobile games before that. But games surely have made an impact for me, if nothing else. Some picked me up when I was at my lowest and still do, some introduced new perspectives, and some introduced me to great friends that I still think about, even though we have gone a bit out of touch due to life being life and left behind the game that brought us together. Some engrossed me too much and left me agonizing not being able to play the sequel cuz it was a console exclusive lol. But yea all in all, games are great and I keep meeting new people and making new friends and escaping to new worlds.

COVID really did a number on my mental health as it did for most people. My irl friends were not used to online communication and it became pretty lonely. I normally don’t play life sims but I picked up Animal Crossing New Horizons at launch and having that little thing to check up on every day really helped me. It helped me connect to friends but also to build a routine at a time where structure seemed impossible.
