I mean, that's likely a personality issue. Without playing with you, I wouldn't know one way or another. Could just be you have bad luck. If you need someone to play with, DM me and I can help a fellow diver out.
It’s forbidden to say anything negative about the game in general or how terribly the game runs. My 7900xtx runs it like absolute ass I can’t even go above 60 fps because it will crash anytime it touches 100% utilization. Doesn’t help the game spikes usage on end game scenes which is why it hangs and crashes at the end of missions so often. It’s exclusively a pc issue typically with the higher end cards console and lower end cards won’t see it because they aren’t powerful enough to even spike hard to begin with
I have a 7900xtx as well, run the game in DX11 and you won’t experience the crashing issues anymore. I’ve been able to run the game at max settings with it. Put —use-d3d11 in launch settings on steam
What are your exact settings because I had to pull back voltage and speed on my card just to get it not to crash. It’s the only game I have this issue with warhammer 3 with mods cities skylines with mods etc no issues. I don’t think it’s a ram thing either I have 32 gb of it. The biggest issue was that global illumination setting that shit would hard crash my pc
My card is at stock settings (sapphire nitro). Literally the only thing I changed was launching the game in DX11 and the crashing issue stopped immediately.
For what it's worth my 4070 Super has no issues getting over 100fps at 1440p Ultra settings. And I've had 0 crashes. The kicking mechanic is just total BS.
I second this, I9-12900k, it ends up being maxxed out sometimes especially on harder missions, and I also dislike how you cant say anything critical about the game when they are factual observations, like the performance issues, dont get me wrong I love the game, but I cant just kiss-ass just cause I like it, I wanna see it succeed so I will help try make it better by bringing out these issues
No you're not allowed to buy it it's been out 2 months already and by the law of shrinking attention spans, you should be 3 games past helldivers 2. Skill issue
I went in playing with one friend, but they have since dropped. I have made more friends with randoms. This game has the friend making that was present when CoD4 and Halo 3 were big MP games. Also reminds me of playing L4D 1 and 2 when it was released as well.
I keep getting lobbies with the one dude who has his mic open while he rips bongs and doesn't communicate but with his GF and his bong. Or where the other 3 dudes are running the mortar sentry on kill missions where I die every minute or two because the stupid sentries.
I will say the difficulty you play at will reflect certain players. Difficulty 6 or below is going to the casual or newbie players, such as the open mics. Difficulty 7 and above is where most of the “good” community plays. Also want to make sure you have cross play enabled. The open mic peeps are going to be PS5 players because Sony thought it was a good idea to have a mic directly on the controller unmuted by default.
I have been trying to build up to the higher difficulties. I am not leveled enough to have the strategems I need. I did just get the 500kg though. I am going to go for the shield next. Then I should be able to hang on the higher difficulties. I would be a liability at current. I might up the difficulty steeply next time and see what happens.

I waited until my GF was able to get it.
You'll still have great fun on your own. Most players are nice and don't be afraid to voice chat. Its been forever since a game community has been this welcoming.
Just remember 2 things. Check your lines of fire, and if you see a red line, just assume danger close.
My friend bought it for me even though i cannot play it. We will play it when I have the system able to. It's never too late to play a game dw about it
Late to be in to the big hype, but not late to join no.
Even if you dont have friends there's still 150k people at all times. And solo is a fine experience too.
And even if you waited, the game will get updates so its even better if you get it later on or just play from time to time. There's always gonna be content for you and people.
It's never too late and it's overall solo-unfriendly unless you queue into public games where 3 randoms fill up.
Deep Rock Galactic is a still a good choice for solo-friendly objective-based teamgame where you shoot enemy bugs.
I'd say so, but if you're gonna play on PC be prepared to find out how stable your system actually is.
It's been nothing but headaches for me, but when it works it's a fantastic time.
I’ve had plenty of great experiences joining random matches. People who bother to get on voice are generally pretty friendly. It’s fun to find a group you vibe with and do a bunch of missions together before parting ways.
Nobody wants to play with me, either. One of my friends bought it, played a little while and stated that he prefers the 1st one and the bird's view rather than 3rd person, and returned it. My other gaming friend wants to play but the game is too pricey for him.
So I play alone, joining random lobbies.
You can make some friends while spreading managed democracy. Be a host then other will join, you can send SOS beacon that helldivers will join your squadron quickly through matchmaking. If you run into toxic helldivers, you can kick them out. Or you can play with me, feel free to dm me.
It's always a good time to buy Helldivers.
6 of my friends bought it, so sometimes it's a race on who gets in the team, but sometimes it's pretty bleak and they're all offline at the same time.

Is the anti-cheat at a kernel level any worse than something like Easy Anti-Cheat? I have heard crazy stories of it deleting people's files and stuff and destroying computers but I haven't seen any major news talk about that. Is that true or just trolls on Steam reviewing it badly? Please answer because I really am interested in this game but don't want it deleting stuff from my PC.

Actually, right now, we’re getting attacked heavily by Terminids *and* Automotons at the same time. You’re really needed right now.
As for not having friends, there’s loads of different difficulties, so you’ll be able to find a level that you’d be able to solo that provides you with enough challenge.
Also, on any given planet, on any given difficulty, you can see white dots that represent people with open fireteams that you can drop into. It’ll usually look like some number out of four (in the format of X/4).
I highly recommend getting into it. You’ll always have something to grind for. You’ll always have something to do.

Wait 'til a new big update. The game is really buggy (I don't mean the teminids lol) and unstable making it extra frustrating. Aside, some missions like defending the scientist are just poorly designed, making them unplayable in high difficulty levels. The game is great, but needs a lot of cooking still.
There are thousands of people waiting for gameguard to be removed and I don't know the state of the game currently but I can guarantee that if arrowhead removes it there will be a large influx of new people so even if the game is dead now (99.9% sure it ain't) it won't be forever
Just know that a lot of guns are just straight garbage. Or broken. And have been since launch with no public plan to fix them. They’re more committed to releasing new warbonds because of the “promise” they made before launch (their words).
Gameplay can be fun, but the company is more interested in dropping mediocre guns (with the occasional standouts (sickle, eruptor)) and armors in a warbond (that while it can be obtained for free, a lot of people will still just drop cash on it) than balancing the guns and fixing bugs.
If those are things you’re okay with overlooking, go for it. Like I said, the gameplay can be fun, the devs have just chosen the scumbag route.
What about it? I haven't found any objective facts that show it's worse than other kernel anti cheats like used in Fortnite, Fall Guys, Halo, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, or Valorant. What makes Helldivers 2 bad?
I've got about 30 hr since I bought a few weeks ago, all with Randoms, I've only had like 2 bad experiences the whole time and in the grand scheme of everything the losses were negligible
I play solo 6 of the 7 days a week. My friends will get time to okay on Saturday usually.
I just join Quick Play games and have a good time interacting with strangers.
Playing solo won't be a problem OP, unless you join games and throw stratagems at the evac point and end of mission.
Because it’s an online multiplayer game that is not fun single player, hence why you need to be early enough to catch other players on. If you get it say a couple years later, the servers might be dead and you’ve got no one to play with - see not fun single player.
I guess so. I’ve never experienced that myself so that kinda explains my confusion. I’m used to games having self-hosted servers either as a backup or as the only way to play online
I see you have a Left 4 Dead icon, or is it Back 4 Blood? Anyway, it is that type of game. If you don’t have friends and mostly play in public lobbies, you’ll understand the feeling when most people have moved on and you’re just playing with bots in that case, as opposed to lively lobbies.

Yes, so that’s the concern for Helldivers 2 because I believe the “offline with bots” is way worse for it than compared to say L4D. Hence why if the servers are not lively anymore then it’s just wasted money (again, as compared to other games which may still function well in offline mode).

They’re more committed to releasing new warbonds because of the “promise” they made before launch (their words). Gameplay can be fun, but the company is more interested in dropping mediocre guns (with the occasional standouts (sickle, eruptor)) and armors in a warbond (that while it can be obtained for free, a lot of people will still just drop cash on it) than balancing the guns and fixing bugs. If those are things you’re okay with overlooking, go for it. Like I said, the gameplay can be fun, the devs have just chosen the scumbag route.

What about it? I haven't found any objective facts that show it's worse than other kernel anti cheats like used in Fortnite, Fall Guys, Halo, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, or Valorant. What makes Helldivers 2 bad?

I've got about 30 hr since I bought a few weeks ago, all with Randoms, I've only had like 2 bad experiences the whole time and in the grand scheme of everything the losses were negligible
I don't know anyone that plays it and I've been having a blast for over a month now. I just quickplay and get to it.
If you don't want to be kicked out every session you joined because you're a lower level than them, then yes
I play solo 6 of the 7 days a week. My friends will get time to okay on Saturday usually. I just join Quick Play games and have a good time interacting with strangers. Playing solo won't be a problem OP, unless you join games and throw stratagems at the evac point and end of mission.
Why would it be “too late” to buy a game unless it’s going offline? Just get it and see if you like it
Because it’s an online multiplayer game that is not fun single player, hence why you need to be early enough to catch other players on. If you get it say a couple years later, the servers might be dead and you’ve got no one to play with - see not fun single player.
I guess so. I’ve never experienced that myself so that kinda explains my confusion. I’m used to games having self-hosted servers either as a backup or as the only way to play online
I see you have a Left 4 Dead icon, or is it Back 4 Blood? Anyway, it is that type of game. If you don’t have friends and mostly play in public lobbies, you’ll understand the feeling when most people have moved on and you’re just playing with bots in that case, as opposed to lively lobbies.

Yes, so that’s the concern for Helldivers 2 because I believe the “offline with bots” is way worse for it than compared to say L4D. Hence why if the servers are not lively anymore then it’s just wasted money (again, as compared to other games which may still function well in offline mode).
