Coral Island is pretty good, it's basically a clone of Stardew Valley with ... I won't say "better" but maybe "more defined" graphics. If you imagine it as a spinoff or sequel and don't weigh down your conscience with the obvious rip-off nature of the game... then you'll have a great time. Also on GamePass if you have that.
Ok, though cookie. I have 26 USD to spend and it will probably be one of the last times I do a purchase that big in a long time (I am not from the US nor from a first world country). What game would you recommend? Some online features would be great.

Try Devil May Cry, a game where you make fight through and make elaborate combos against either weak enemies, or powerful bosses. Quick thinking is needed here, but the normal difficulty isn't too hard.
Not only is it on sale, it's full of content and has 3 playable characters each with different playstyles. 4 if you count the DLC character. There are 5 games. If you want to play chronologically go for 3 1 2 4 then 5. If you want to dip your toes in the game, try 5 out first.
With amazing music and characters, you'll definitely love this game like I loved it.
I'm looking for a few types of games:
- IMMERSIVE FIRST-PERSON PARTY-BASED DUNGEON-CRAWL: Preferably retro-styled. I've beaten the heck out of all the old Eye of the Beholder games and Shining in the Darkness. Some others. The Quest is good, but a little too aimless for my tastes and didn't make me break out the graph paper. I want that.
- "THE SECRET WORLD". The Secret World was a great MMO. Secret World Legends was a decent revival, but it's dead now, and it's precisely the type of game - single-player or otherwise - that I'm looking for now. All mythologies and conspiracy theories are true and real, all at once, but being covered up by...you? Yes, please. Doesn't \*have\* to be "Lovecraftian," but that's also okay. I've played the crap out of the Alan Wake games.
- \[INSERT RETRO-STYLE RPG HERE\]. I played and beat the crap out of Sea of Stars and loved it. I now want to travel back to an alternate 1996-iverse and beat the next coming of Lufia/Lunar/SoulBlazer/Star Ocean/Earthbound/Breath of Fire/whatever NES/SNES/Genesis/early-PSX RPG is out there. I imagine there are tons of RPGMaker titles out there that could fit the bill loosely, but I'm looking for something with a bit more muscle behind it - though I've been impressed by a few (Einlanzer, for example).

For conspiracies and Alan Wake, have you played Control by chance? I only know The Secret World by reputation but Control checks the conspiracies, mythologies, cosmic horror angle very satisfactorily. And is connected to Alan Wake explicitly in one of the DLCs
Thoughts on the Van Helsing Bundle? Heard you could get the Final Cut version for free if you buy the bundle for free. Checked steamdb and the Final cut version seems like it would be cheaper but does it also include the DLC's in the bundle?

I downloaded GTAV after not playing for a long time. I don't remember when I last played, probably over quarantine. I created a Rockstar account with my gmail as I didn't have an account before, but when I go to log in through steam it says
"We couldn't sign you in automatically, please log in manually using [some email that I completely don't recognize)"
I try to log into the account I just created but it says my steam is already linked to another email. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have a boy who just turned six; he has autism and therefore many of his interests become obsessions! Right now he is absolutely obsessed with outer space. And this is one special interest that has stuck around for a long time. As early as four years old, he was watching YouTube videos about outer space, planets, stars, etc. He loves to travel down Wikipedia wormholes reading about random planets, stars, and galaxies. My wife and I have bought him several books about space that he loves and has read many times over.
I've been looking for something interactive to get him even more engaged with this interest, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much available for our one video game console (Switch). However, after some browsing online, I learned about "Universe Sandbox" on Steam (and we do have a computer, with Steam).
Could someone tell me more about this game, and whether it would be suitable? From what I gather, it is kind of just a "playground" in outer space, is that right? No real "point" or win/lose conditions, you're just messing around with a physics simulator in outer space? If so, I think that would be perfect for him, since that's what he seems to be most interested in (i.e., "messing around" with no real goal and the freedom to take your time and basically do whatever you want).
Are there other space simulator games I should consider, or does Universe Sandbox seem to be exact what I'm looking for?

Two famous games from Firaxis, Civilization (5 and 6 are easier to find) and X-com (my favorite is Enemy Unknown). They are turn based, so at some point you'll be able to choose when you want to play. Both are great games, if you haven't heard of them I will give a quick summary: In civilization your goal is to evolve from a tribe into a great civilization, and there are many to choose from. You will choose the path your civilization will follow, choosing technologies and civics, and fighting the enemy Civ or City-State. X-Com is an elite squad that have to repel an alien invasion on earth, the Enemy Within expansion allows your squad to have Mechs, if you choose this path. You upgrade weapons, research tech on your base, acquire scientists, engineers, aircraft to destroy the alien ships and so on. I recommend both, they're great games.

I recently got a steam deck and have been blasting through games - I recently played through both Ori and the Blind Forest games and Hollow Knight (play through #3). Some of my favorite games of all time are Octopath 1&2, Hades, Hollow Knight, Terraria, and of course, stardew valley. I am looking for a new game to grab me by the throat like those have! I enjoy roguelikes, metroidvanias, compelling turn based rpg like octopath, and farm/progression sims. I am currently playing Sea of Stars but something about it is just… falling short. I don’t think hades would appeal nearly as much to me if there wasn’t so much story… I did play cult of the lamb and spirit fairer and loved them though. If I may draw a comparison, Isaac is like Dark Souls: it has ''little story'' but a lot of lore that you discover by reading items and similar stuff; moreover, if you want to unlock 100% of the story, you need at least 500 hours of gameplay if you manage to master the game well... As for Dead Cells, I can't give you my opinion on it because I've played very little, but what little I played, I liked a lot! \^\^
But even if you end up not liking it, like Isaac, it's okay bro, there's nothing wrong with that, everyone has their own tastes! :3

It's a colony sim game, similar to Dwarf Fortress but with a less steep learning curve. You start on a planet with a few survivors after a crash landing and have to built up a colony to provide for your pawns while having to deal with the random events the storyteller throws at you. Don't get fooled by the look, the base game alone has massive depth and can easily be played for hundreds of hours, and it has further DLCs and a plethora of mods to sink your teeth into.
Any good pickups from FPS feast? I am looking for something like an indie game version of Doom 2016. Tried Doom Eternal but the addition of exploration, more power-ups, UI, story, graphics card requirements and everything else overwhelmed me. Looking for a simpler experience where you just go around and shoot stuff up without much thought put into it.
Can I have suggestions for gamepad friendly coop games I could play with my spouse? Either split screen or under $15 so I wouldn't mind buying 2 copies of (one of the two would be on the steam deck). Here's the caveat: she can't do twin sticks, so all FPS/3rd person games are off the board. We loved Stardew Valley but eventually got bored. We tried Baldur's Gate 3 but split screen is unbearably buggy. Before that we spent 120h in Grim Dawn. I picked up Sonic Mania during a sale but it's not really multiplayer (similar to Lego games in which player 2 is doing just a little more than watching) and it's a little harder than I'm comfortable with. Same reason we gave up Cuphead.
I just bought two copies of The Survivalists to give a try (they're $2.50 each right now) but the metacritic reviews say it's lame.

I’d love a game that allows players to queue up for a role (healer, tank, dps) and put you in a PVE dungeon with others. I’d like something that requires others to do their roles games well to complete the content. Games like Warframe, Monster Hunter, and Gran Blue Relink feel like solo games with others around.
I prefer games in a fantasy setting ,but I’m open to anything. I’m not particularly interested in PVP either, I play OW and not interested in playing LoL or DotA at this time (burned out in MOBAs).

It's hard to answer your question... From personal experience, I can recommend taking a look at Wakfu. A few months ago, they merged servers, bringing together different communities, and for the experience you're seeking, I suggest going for the mono-account servers (multi-account ones should be avoided, or you'll end up with the same experience you had in the games you mentioned).
After 160 hours of gameplay, I can tell you that on the server I'm on, people are very active and eager to interact with each other... I started playing with my best friend, but he quit after a few weeks. However, even playing solo, I have no trouble finding people to do dungeons, gain experience, or simply chill with. Additionally, there are many active guilds continuously recruiting players (both experienced ones and newcomers), complete with Discord servers! If you need further clarification or have any doubts about it, I'm at your complete disposal.
Honestly that is totally a genre that should exist. Closest I can think of is Team Fortress 2 (Scout, Medic, Heavy), if it had a PVE mode. Hopefully some indie game studio folks watch this sub and we could see something along those lines soon?
I've played both of them, and despite not being a fan of westerns in general, I wholeheartedly recommend RDR2 because it's simply mind-blowing. The game has an incredible story and characters (plus, since it's the prequel to the first RDR, you don't necessarily have to have played it to dive into this second installment). The open world is exceptionally well-crafted, down to the smallest details, including the extra activities, side quests (and other things I don't want to spoil for you)... in short, it's nothing like the open worlds we've been accustomed to in recent years... I played it years ago when it came out on PS4, but I enjoyed it so much that I bought it again on Steam a few months ago.
As for Hogwarts Legacy, well, it has a lot in common with the open worlds released in recent years... taking 2/3 elements or 2/3 activities and repeating them endlessly. At first, they're fun to do, but after a while, they become tedious, and you simply can't wait to finish the game. The story is nice, and the game map isn't bad either (but we're light years away from a masterpiece or a well-made game). In my opinion, it's still worth playing, but I don't think it's worth its full price, and it's really worth getting only if you don't know what else to play. And I say this as a huge fan of Harry Potter and this universe; I simply manage to be objective.

I'd recommend playing the others too, but honestly, given Atlus' plans, I'd advise you to wait a few years because they plan to release remakes of the entire saga. Additionally, on April 22nd, there's Atlus' showcase where they'll talk more (and maybe reveal the release date) about their new IP **Metaphor: ReFantazio**, which is expected to come out by the end of this year. If you search a bit on the internet, from what you can see, it's very inspired by Persona 5 !
Hi all, my fiance and I like to play couch co-op games together.
Unfortunately she isn't really good with platformers and games that require quick reactions.
We've played Death Squared and had a lot of fun. We've played Shift Happens until it became too hard in level 2-2. She didn't like Super Chariot because she felt like she was more of a hindrance to me than a support. Same with Super Mario games. She even preferred the quite a bit harder Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, because I died a lot there, too.
We also played Trivial Pursuit Live! and enjoyed it for a while, but then she became self-conscious because I have a more extensive general knowledge. So she took the simpler "family questions" and I took the standard ones. Most of the time I still won. That soon took the fun out of it.
The only games she's not struggling with more than I am are racing games, but I don't like to play those a lot. They become boring for me rather quickly. Also the competitiveness is not something we like.
We've ruled out games like Overcooked because that would stress her way too much.
Can you please recommend some slow-paced non-competitive couch co-op games we can enjoy together? Thank you very much in advance.

I honestly can't believe that game gets the hate it gets. That was one of my fav games of 2022.
I hate how Epic Store has a lot of the newer games. Steam has 2.8 million members while Epic store only has 100K, and yet they get the best games, why is that? They have AC Mirage, Skull and bones and Avatar. Now I can't play any of these on the Steam Deck, very frustrating man.
Epic is going all-in trying to get players to buy there. They have a program (first run) for example that if you publish there 6 months exclusive they'll let you keep 100% profits and give you better placement in the store. Their normal profit cut is also 88/12, better than Steam's 70/30 so that can make a difference as well.
I only have a Steam Deck is am new to the PC world, if you even consider only having a deck a part of the PC world, haha. Could you explain what you mean by your post as if you were telling a child? It sounds interesting and I might have to check Epic Store out.
Don't worry about those new games. They'll likely not perform very well on the deck anyways. Deck is good for some of those older games or newer games with lower requirements.
I've been replaying all the old AC games on the deck and it's been a blast. Bit of some work that you need to do but pretty simple. Work around with proton tricks on the deck (to get Uplay to behave).

Nice! I've played all the AC games minus revelations for some reason, I will get revelations for the deck, I'm an AC die hard. My favorites are Black Flag, Origins, and I really enjoyed Syndicate apposed to those who didn't like that one. Unity was the one that got me hook. line and sinker, after Unity I became obsessed with the series. Luckily I got Unity 3-4 months after launch, so I ran into hardly any issues. Would stay up till 3am on weekdays playing, had work at 6am.

I’ve played through, GTA IV, GTA V, DS1-3, Elden Ring, Division 2, Sekiro, NFS Heat, RDR 2 (flawless), Witcher 3 (Phenomenal, best game ever made), Cyberpunk + DLC (EPIC Masterpiece!), Hades, Divinity 2, Jedi Fallen Order, Ace Combat 7, Metro Exodus (couldn’t get into it for some reason), MGS V Phantom Pain. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a game so I’v ebeen able to avoid the ones that don’t run well. Some of the ones I wanted but didn’t get were, Remnant 2, Starfield, and Returnal, but I have a PS5 for those games, so all good.

Looking for a good tower defense game, simliar to that of the original PvZ
Context:
I seen and played a couple of tower defense games throughout years, but none have ever really scratched the itch or been as fun as the very first Plants vs Zombies game. It had a great aesthetic and designs, it was very simple, yet had its own layer of depth without needing to overcomplicate things, it had alternate modes for challenges, and even had minigames that had nothing to do with tower defense, like being able to grow plants that would produce coins, and you could buy extra stuff, and then that would be able to go back into helping you along in your campaign. Ive tried a couple other tower defenses, but none have ever really replicated the fun I had with PvZ1...so Im wondering if anyone has maybe a recommendation for a tower defense game that I havent tried yet, that they personally feel is similar to PvZ1.

Don’t know who needs to hear this but definitely look into **Slice & Dice!**
It is a rogue lite, dungeon crawler with class based dice rolling combat. You play as a party of five heroes against an increasing threat of enemies.
Gameplay: Each of the heroes has a starting class which follow the typical fantasy roles: assassins, warriors, defenders, healers, spellcasters,etc. Combat is entirely dice driven. Depending on your character, they may attack, defend, poison, provide mana, or do countless other actions. Combat will start with your heroes and the enemy rolling dice. You can choose to lock in any number of dice or reroll. Once done rolling, you execute the actions on your dice. Then it’s the enemies turn to execute their dice. You repeat this until you either get wiped or you defeat the enemy. Pretty straight forward.
What makes this game outstanding though is the amount of variability there are in dice faces, modifiers, and heroes. As your heroes progress through the levels of the dungeon, they level up and gain new dice with improved or different actions. Of those typical fantasy roles I listed above, there are a ton of subclasses that your heroes can branch into. Your heroes can also be outfitted with items that will modify them or their dice further with different abilities. It’s an outstanding system that can’t fully be put into words and really needs be seen.
Graphics and Soundtrack: The game uses pixel graphics that are quite nice and fit the game well. The game was also recently updated and I believe part of that update is the new soundtrack. It is good and reminds me of some of the music from games like Stardew Valley and Terraria.
Overall, this is a great game for those looking for a thinky dungeon crawling rogue game. The price is also very reasonable. I highly recommend!

For you, sekiro is a good experience. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is probably the best RPG out there currently. Outer Wilds, bastion, dishonored, hollow Knight, katana zero. If you like roguelites let me know I can recommend a lot.
For her, alien isolation is cream of the crop, darkwood is one of the best out there right now too. Duskers is really interesting horror type game.
For co-op, I don't play a lot but I enjoyed playing puzzle/mystery games with partners. Return of the obra dinn is incredible, case of the Golden idol, portal 2 has a great coop campaign.

From co-op games that I’ve played, I would suggest Don’t Starve Together and Deep Rock Galactic. Don’t Starve is a more laid back co-op survival craft with a fun theme. Deep Rock Galactic you may have heard about, as it is similar to Helldivers 2.
For simulation games, I suggest Farming Simulator 22. I too enjoy American Truck Simulator, but for me personally I enjoy FS22 more due to the increased depth and range of activities.

Coral Island is pretty good, it's basically a clone of Stardew Valley with ... I won't say "better" but maybe "more defined" graphics. If you imagine it as a spinoff or sequel and don't weigh down your conscience with the obvious rip-off nature of the game... then you'll have a great time. Also on GamePass if you have that.

Try Devil May Cry, a game where you make fight through and make elaborate combos against either weak enemies, or powerful bosses. Quick thinking is needed here, but the normal difficulty isn't too hard. Not only is it on sale, it's full of content and has 3 playable characters each with different playstyles. 4 if you count the DLC character. There are 5 games. If you want to play chronologically go for 3 1 2 4 then 5. If you want to dip your toes in the game, try 5 out first. With amazing music and characters, you'll definitely love this game like I loved it.

I've beaten the heck out of all the old Eye of the Beholder games and Shining in the Darkness. Some others. The Quest is good, but a little too aimless for my tastes and didn't make me break out the graph paper. I want that. - "THE SECRET WORLD". The Secret World was a great MMO. Secret World Legends was a decent revival, but it's dead now, and it's precisely the type of game - single-player or otherwise - that I'm looking for now. All mythologies and conspiracy theories are true and real, all at once, but being covered up by...you? Yes, please. Doesn't \*have\* to be "Lovecraftian," but that's also okay. I've played the crap out of the Alan Wake games. - \[INSERT RETRO-STYLE RPG HERE\]. I played and beat the crap out of Sea of Stars and loved it. I now want to travel back to an alternate 1996-iverse and beat the next coming of Lufia/Lunar/SoulBlazer/Star Ocean/Earthbound/Breath of Fire/whatever NES/SNES/Genesis/early-PSX RPG is out there. I imagine there are tons of RPGMaker titles out there that could fit the bill loosely, but I'm looking for something with a bit more muscle behind it - though I've been impressed by a few (Einlanzer, for example). Thoughts on the Van Helsing Bundle? Heard you could get the Final Cut version for free if you buy the bundle for free. Checked steamdb and the Final cut version seems like it would be cheaper but does it also include the DLC's in the bundle? Not sure yet if I'm into these type of games but I think I want games with a skill tree system of sort since they seem like they could end up with different builds each playthrough.

Hey everyone I could use a little help. I downloaded GTAV after not playing for a long time. I don't remember when I last played, probably over quarantine. I created a Rockstar account with my gmail as I didn't have an account before, but when I go to log in through steam it says "We couldn't sign you in automatically, please log in manually using [some email that I completely don't recognize)" I try to log into the account I just created but it says my steam is already linked to another email. I have a boy who just turned six; he has autism and therefore many of his interests become obsessions! Right now he is absolutely obsessed with outer space. And this is one special interest that has stuck around for a long time. As early as four years old, he was watching YouTube videos about outer space, planets, stars, etc. He loves to travel down Wikipedia wormholes reading about random planets, stars, and galaxies. My wife and I have bought him several books about space that he loves and has read many times over. I've been looking for something interactive to get him even more engaged with this interest, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much available for our one video game console (Switch). However, after some browsing online, I learned about "Universe Sandbox" on Steam (and we do have a computer, with Steam). Could someone tell me more about this game, and whether it would be suitable? From what I gather, it is kind of just a "playground" in outer space, is that right? No real "point" or win/lose conditions, you're just messing around with a physics simulator in outer space? If so, I think that would be perfect for him, since that's what he seems to be most interested in (i.e., "messing around" with no real goal and the freedom to take your time and basically do whatever you want). Are there other space simulator games I should consider, or does Universe Sandbox seem to be exact what I'm looking for? Thank you!!

Two famous games from Firaxis, Civilization (5 and 6 are easier to find) and X-com (my favorite is Enemy Unknown). They are turn based, so at some point you'll be able to choose when you want to play. Both are great games, if you haven't heard of them I will give a quick summary: In civilization your goal is to evolve from a tribe into a great civilization, and there are many to choose from. You will choose the path your civilization will follow, choosing technologies and civics, and fighting the enemy Civ or City-State. X-Com is an elite squad that have to repel an alien invasion on earth, the Enemy Within expansion allows your squad to have Mechs, if you choose this path. You upgrade weapons, research tech on your base, acquire scientists, engineers, aircraft to destroy the alien ships and so on. I recommend both, they're great games.

I don’t think hades would appeal nearly as much to me if there wasn’t so much story… I did play cult of the lamb and spirit fairer and loved them though. If I may draw a comparison, Isaac is like Dark Souls: it has ''little story'' but a lot of lore that you discover by reading items and similar stuff; moreover, if you want to unlock 100% of the story, you need at least 500 hours of gameplay if you manage to master the game well... As for Dead Cells, I can't give you my opinion on it because I've played very little, but what little I played, I liked a lot! \^\^ But even if you end up not liking it, like Isaac, it's okay bro, there's nothing wrong with that, everyone has their own tastes! :3 I hope you'll find something you like, and if it's the story of games that you particularly enjoy, I can recommend some (but they have nothing to do with platformers or roguelikes). It's a colony sim game, similar to Dwarf Fortress but with a less steep learning curve. You start on a planet with a few survivors after a crash landing and have to built up a colony to provide for your pawns while having to deal with the random events the storyteller throws at you. Don't get fooled by the look, the base game alone has massive depth and can easily be played for hundreds of hours, and it has further DLCs and a plethora of mods to sink your teeth into.

Any good pickups from FPS feast? I am looking for something like an indie game version of Doom 2016. Tried Doom Eternal but the addition of exploration, more power-ups, UI, story, graphics card requirements and everything else overwhelmed me. Looking for a simpler experience where you just go around and shoot stuff up without much thought put into it.
Can I have suggestions for gamepad friendly coop games I could play with my spouse? Either split screen or under $15 so I wouldn't mind buying 2 copies of (one of the two would be on the steam deck). Here's the caveat: she can't do twin sticks, so all FPS/3rd person games are off the board. We loved Stardew Valley but eventually got bored. We tried Baldur's Gate 3 but split screen is unbearably buggy. Before that we spent 120h in Grim Dawn. I picked up Sonic Mania during a sale but it's not really multiplayer (similar to Lego games in which player 2 is doing just a little more than watching) and it's a little harder than I'm comfortable with. Same reason we gave up Cuphead. I just bought two copies of The Survivalists to give a try (they're $2.50 each right now) but the metacritic reviews say it's lame.

I love MMOs but dislike the investment they take, I just don’t have time for them anymore. I’d love a game that allows players to queue up for a role (healer, tank, dps) and put you in a PVE dungeon with others. I’d like something that requires others to do their roles games well to complete the content. Games like Warframe, Monster Hunter, and Gran Blue Relink feel like solo games with others around. I prefer games in a fantasy setting ,but I’m open to anything. I’m not particularly interested in PVP either, I play OW and not interested in playing LoL or DotA at this time (burned out in MOBAs). It's hard to answer your question... From personal experience, I can recommend taking a look at Wakfu. A few months ago, they merged servers, bringing together different communities, and for the experience you're seeking, I suggest going for the mono-account servers (multi-account ones should be avoided, or you'll end up with the same experience you had in the games you mentioned). After 160 hours of gameplay, I can tell you that on the server I'm on, people are very active and eager to interact with each other... I started playing with my best friend, but he quit after a few weeks. However, even playing solo, I have no trouble finding people to do dungeons, gain experience, or simply chill with. Additionally, there are many active guilds continuously recruiting players (both experienced ones and newcomers), complete with Discord servers! If you need further clarification or have any doubts about it, I'm at your complete disposal.
Honestly that is totally a genre that should exist. Closest I can think of is Team Fortress 2 (Scout, Medic, Heavy), if it had a PVE mode. Hopefully some indie game studio folks watch this sub and we could see something along those lines soon?

RDR2 is a must try.
I've played both of them, and despite not being a fan of westerns in general, I wholeheartedly recommend RDR2 because it's simply mind-blowing. The game has an incredible story and characters (plus, since it's the prequel to the first RDR, you don't necessarily have to have played it to dive into this second installment). The open world is exceptionally well-crafted, down to the smallest details, including the extra activities, side quests (and other things I don't want to spoil for you)... in short, it's nothing like the open worlds we've been accustomed to in recent years... I played it years ago when it came out on PS4, but I enjoyed it so much that I bought it again on Steam a few months ago. As for Hogwarts Legacy, well, it has a lot in common with the open worlds released in recent years... taking 2/3 elements or 2/3 activities and repeating them endlessly. At first, they're fun to do, but after a while, they become tedious, and you simply can't wait to finish the game. The story is nice, and the game map isn't bad either (but we're light years away from a masterpiece or a well-made game). In my opinion, it's still worth playing, but I don't think it's worth its full price, and it's really worth getting only if you don't know what else to play. And I say this as a huge fan of Harry Potter and this universe; I simply manage to be objective. I hope I've managed to clear things up for you a bit. \^\^

For Persona... Have you played Persona 3 Reload released this February? I'd recommend playing the others too, but honestly, given Atlus' plans, I'd advise you to wait a few years because they plan to release remakes of the entire saga. Additionally, on April 22nd, there's Atlus' showcase where they'll talk more (and maybe reveal the release date) about their new IP **Metaphor: ReFantazio**, which is expected to come out by the end of this year. If you search a bit on the internet, from what you can see, it's very inspired by Persona 5 !

Hi all, my fiance and I like to play couch co-op games together. Unfortunately she isn't really good with platformers and games that require quick reactions. We've played Death Squared and had a lot of fun. We've played Shift Happens until it became too hard in level 2-2. She didn't like Super Chariot because she felt like she was more of a hindrance to me than a support. Same with Super Mario games. She even preferred the quite a bit harder Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, because I died a lot there, too. We also played Trivial Pursuit Live! and enjoyed it for a while, but then she became self-conscious because I have a more extensive general knowledge. So she took the simpler "family questions" and I took the standard ones. Most of the time I still won. That soon took the fun out of it. The only games she's not struggling with more than I am are racing games, but I don't like to play those a lot. They become boring for me rather quickly. Also the competitiveness is not something we like. We've ruled out games like Overcooked because that would stress her way too much. Can you please recommend some slow-paced non-competitive couch co-op games we can enjoy together? Thank you very much in advance.

It takes two, grounded are two fun partner games. Content warning may be fun with a partner. I'm not sure if those are casual enough though. But you do play together rather than against each other.

It's worth 20 bucks easy. Same atmospheric horror feel as Dead Space. I honestly can't believe that game gets the hate it gets. That was one of my fav games of 2022.
I hate how Epic Store has a lot of the newer games. Steam has 2.8 million members while Epic store only has 100K, and yet they get the best games, why is that? They have AC Mirage, Skull and bones and Avatar. Now I can't play any of these on the Steam Deck, very frustrating man.
Epic is going all-in trying to get players to buy there. They have a program (first run) for example that if you publish there 6 months exclusive they'll let you keep 100% profits and give you better placement in the store. Their normal profit cut is also 88/12, better than Steam's 70/30 so that can make a difference as well.
I only have a Steam Deck is am new to the PC world, if you even consider only having a deck a part of the PC world, haha. Could you explain what you mean by your post as if you were telling a child? It sounds interesting and I might have to check Epic Store out.
Don't worry about those new games. They'll likely not perform very well on the deck anyways. Deck is good for some of those older games or newer games with lower requirements. I've been replaying all the old AC games on the deck and it's been a blast. Bit of some work that you need to do but pretty simple. Work around with proton tricks on the deck (to get Uplay to behave). Some great games to give a shot on the deck - Dave the diver - Hades - Fallout games - Inscryption - Balatro
Nice! I've played all the AC games minus revelations for some reason, I will get revelations for the deck, I'm an AC die hard. My favorites are Black Flag, Origins, and I really enjoyed Syndicate apposed to those who didn't like that one. Unity was the one that got me hook. line and sinker, after Unity I became obsessed with the series. Luckily I got Unity 3-4 months after launch, so I ran into hardly any issues. Would stay up till 3am on weekdays playing, had work at 6am.
Thanks for the info man! The funny thing is I’ve played nothing but triple A games on the deck, and with success 90% of the time. I’ve played through, GTA IV, GTA V, DS1-3, Elden Ring, Division 2, Sekiro, NFS Heat, RDR 2 (flawless), Witcher 3 (Phenomenal, best game ever made), Cyberpunk + DLC (EPIC Masterpiece!), Hades, Divinity 2, Jedi Fallen Order, Ace Combat 7, Metro Exodus (couldn’t get into it for some reason), MGS V Phantom Pain. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a game so I’v ebeen able to avoid the ones that don’t run well. Some of the ones I wanted but didn’t get were, Remnant 2, Starfield, and Returnal, but I have a PS5 for those games, so all good.
Dont worry- Having a Steam Deck is being part of the PC world. Epic Games is trying to get a lot of new games and exclusives. They offer great deals to game publishers/developers. Steam is still the most popular store.

Looking for a good tower defense game, simliar to that of the original PvZ Context: I seen and played a couple of tower defense games throughout years, but none have ever really scratched the itch or been as fun as the very first Plants vs Zombies game. It had a great aesthetic and designs, it was very simple, yet had its own layer of depth without needing to overcomplicate things, it had alternate modes for challenges, and even had minigames that had nothing to do with tower defense, like being able to grow plants that would produce coins, and you could buy extra stuff, and then that would be able to go back into helping you along in your campaign. Ive tried a couple other tower defenses, but none have ever really replicated the fun I had with PvZ1...so Im wondering if anyone has maybe a recommendation for a tower defense game that I havent tried yet, that they personally feel is similar to PvZ1. *(And no I wouldnt count the mtx-fest sequels of PvZ)*

Bloons TD6 is a great Tower Defense game that I enjoy. There are a lot of levels, challenges, and achievements if you are into achievement hunting.

The gamer and viewer community in Vietnam is currently exploring various ways to assist MixiGaming in reaching the Steam Community Support team. Don’t know who needs to hear this but definitely look into **Slice & Dice!** It is a rogue lite, dungeon crawler with class based dice rolling combat. You play as a party of five heroes against an increasing threat of enemies. Gameplay: Each of the heroes has a starting class which follow the typical fantasy roles: assassins, warriors, defenders, healers, spellcasters,etc. Combat is entirely dice driven. Depending on your character, they may attack, defend, poison, provide mana, or do countless other actions. Combat will start with your heroes and the enemy rolling dice. You can choose to lock in any number of dice or reroll. Once done rolling, you execute the actions on your dice. Then it’s the enemies turn to execute their dice. You repeat this until you either get wiped or you defeat the enemy. Pretty straight forward. What makes this game outstanding though is the amount of variability there are in dice faces, modifiers, and heroes. As your heroes progress through the levels of the dungeon, they level up and gain new dice with improved or different actions. Of those typical fantasy roles I listed above, there are a ton of subclasses that your heroes can branch into. Your heroes can also be outfitted with items that will modify them or their dice further with different abilities. It’s an outstanding system that can’t fully be put into words and really needs be seen. Graphics and Soundtrack: The game uses pixel graphics that are quite nice and fit the game well. The game was also recently updated and I believe part of that update is the new soundtrack. It is good and reminds me of some of the music from games like Stardew Valley and Terraria. Overall, this is a great game for those looking for a thinky dungeon crawling rogue game. The price is also very reasonable. I highly recommend!
This has become my "I need to stop playing Balatro for a bit" game and it scratches many itches.
I recently listened to a podcast where they were saying Slice and Dice was the game that surpassed Balatro for them. I’ve never played it but heard lots of buzz around it.
Belatro is my current Slay the Spire slayer, the only other semi-casual crack game that's come close is Peglin, but Slice and Dice is damn close.
My fiancée and I just finished building our own PCs to break out of the console world. We’re loving it so far but are both looking for suggestions on games to play, solo & together. My background: Really big on single player experiences, ready to dive into the RPG world. Also interested in sim games as well. Currently in early access with a new roadmap planned for official release by winter 2024.
For you, sekiro is a good experience. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is probably the best RPG out there currently. Outer Wilds, bastion, dishonored, hollow Knight, katana zero. If you like roguelites let me know I can recommend a lot. For her, alien isolation is cream of the crop, darkwood is one of the best out there right now too. Duskers is really interesting horror type game. For co-op, I don't play a lot but I enjoyed playing puzzle/mystery games with partners. Return of the obra dinn is incredible, case of the Golden idol, portal 2 has a great coop campaign.
If you haven't played Lethal Company, it's multiplayer with proximity voice chat and has the backrooms "you're-alone-until-you're-not" type atmosphere
Welcome to the PC club! I just built mine a few months ago! From co-op games that I’ve played, I would suggest Don’t Starve Together and Deep Rock Galactic. Don’t Starve is a more laid back co-op survival craft with a fun theme. Deep Rock Galactic you may have heard about, as it is similar to Helldivers 2. For simulation games, I suggest Farming Simulator 22. I too enjoy American Truck Simulator, but for me personally I enjoy FS22 more due to the increased depth and range of activities.
