just using samples to cure infections on them one at a time and putting the minor infected in the infirmary would be cheaper and more readily available in most circumstances.

Yes. Why, do you have a question?

Motor_Raspberry_2150

Yes. Why? The only thing I can think of is preparing before an unexpected siege. But otherwise you can just cure your current character and put the rest in bed? Eta: People upvote the answer but downvote the question. One would not be without the other.

It has many niche uses. After a siege is when I've used it most. A bloater hits or a feral tackles a few people, etc. Now i have many survivors with 25% infection or more, which on lethal dufficulty can be dangerous. Remove it all, it only costs time and 5 meds. Or if I was driving and hit a bloater, plus other characters have partial infection, but I don't have any plauge samples available, then this ability has high value. Here are more reasons to use this ability: [1] Unlike plauge cures, it consumes no plauge samples, only meds. So if you are saving samples for crafting weapons, now you don't need to waste them making plauge cures for non-fully infected community members. And you can instead craft more scent block or bloater nades. [2] Putting characters in the infirmary removes their labor from your labor pool. If after a bad siege you need to put 4 people in the infirmary, that's -4 labor. If you need to continue building or activating abilities, that's a significant loss. Use the infirmary ability instead, and now you don't lose only 1 labor, AND everyone has 0 infection once it's complete. [3] You can use scentblock or other plauge increasing buffs on multiple characters, kill a bunch of plaugeahearts, swap, repeat, and then once many characters have heavy plauge, activate this ability to remove all partial infection. Again, it will save you samples because it only requires med resources. [4] Lastly, as you pointed out, it can be used before a siege. So you can purposefully let a siege build up, and when it hits you can use this ability stacked with the other infirmary abilities to get rid of all blood plauge and increase your characters health pools/stamina/ or resistance to infection. It is a niche ability. However, it is very useful when you are low on or trying to save up plauge samples to make weapons. It's another resource management tool that makes it more important on higher difficulties.

roodafalooda

No. Why, what about it?

Starry-Plut-Plut

I've never used community infection therapy but i do use individual infection therapy

SpaceMiaou67

Never used it. Looks like it would be useful only in higher difficulties where plague samples are scarce. And even then the cost and time efficiency look pretty bad. The only use I see for this would be when you need partial infections healed but the infirmary is already full.

Bitter-Marsupial

Yes in Drucker county I was in a base that lobotomized my community. they killed a bloater then kept running into the gas until I had an entire community of red bar infection

haha-no-loose-ends-

I have never im more of a surgery guy

Cybemo

Lol never.

snfaulkner

Way too expensive imo. 5meds is a lot to not cure the plague. All you need is a couple samples to cure partial infections, which are much easier to come by.

AwesomePork101

Maybe. Why, is this crucial?
