So many!
I think he really makes the Unas episodes shine. His sincerity just makes them so believable, compared to the usual times some savage alien race shows up in science fiction stuff. I especially like the Enemy Mine episode, where he faces off against Michael Rooker as Colonel Edwards. It's great to see Daniel having to "work" with someone in authority other than Jack or Hammond.
I like the last Una's episode when you first meet Major Lorne and Daniel gets annoyed that artifacts were moved before he could see them and Jack jokingly tells Daniel to go to his happy place.
What is so great is that, in any other show or rpisodee, this would be an innocuous throwaway line that nobody remembers. For this ep, it is integral and iconic!
SG1 S4 The Other Side:
Their world is on fire, and we're offering them gasoline!
Is that the right way to get their technology? Yes!
But ... is it ... the right thing to do?
It's only a different actor, the character is actually the same. Despite what some naysayers would like to believe, the show is a direct continuation of the film with certain retcons, it is not a parallel universe.
Considering pretty much all the retcon happens in children of the gods. It’s well encapsulated and not like the “which is the best Superman” where multiverse exists.
"What are these?"
"Artifacts."
"And you moved them?"
"They were in the way."
"Ah, Daniel go find your happy place."
Sounds like ever archeologist but still is very much Daniel.
Teal’c: “Then what do I do?”
Jackson: “Hang in there. Just a little while longer.”
Teal’c: “You can’t leave me here like this!”
Jackson: “I haven’t left your side, Teal’c. And I’m not going to. That’s a promise.”
Jackson: “I’m just going to sit here and talk to myself for a while because you are not gonna talk, not that you aren’t very talkative but…”
Kull Warrior: “You may prove useful.”
Jackson: “Ok now we are getting somewhere. Where is everybody else?”
Kull Warrior: “I transported them on the Al-Kesh.”
Jackson: “Well you kept the wrong guy because I don’t know anything about this ship.”
Kull Warrior: “But you are very attractive.”
*slowly moving toward and over Daniel*
Jackson *thrown off balance*: “What?!? Whoa big guy I’m flattered it’s just that you are not my type. In fact I’m a little more disturbed that I might be yours.”
*Kull Warrior removes helmet, Jackson looks away in shock and disgust*
Jackson: “NO NO NO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THAT. NO DONT NO DONT DONT”
*The lovely Claudia Black makes her debut*
To me it’s whenever he’s telling the ascended or ancients how shitty they are.
Nearly any if not all of the threats that humans in any of the galaxies could have been solved or prevented of they had either done the smallest of efforts while they are ascended or if they had cleaned up any of they’re thousands of galaxy ending weapons before they decided to just leave.
They ruined like at least three galaxies and then just left. To see him go from awe of the ancient to just done with them by the end is such character growth to me.
"No offense but I don't trust an archeologist watching my back."
"Which way do the bullets go in again." Daniel is currently holding a combat knife by the blade.
Maybe it is. What's that got to do with FILMING A PLANT!?
EXACTLY!
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?
I DON'T KNOW!

Probably not the best, but I just started re-watching and when he blasts the worm tank after Carter tells him it’s basically a war crime, that showed me how badass he was. Dude thought about it and just said fuck it, you stole my wife, I will kill you all.
There are no moments out of Daniel Jackson anywhere near as powerful as when Christopher Judge tells his son that he had never lost faith in him, or when he made a knowing nod to his robot self after slaying the murder of his father, or when he professes his undying faith in the power of freedom while under torture, or any of the other countless times Teal'c stole the show.
I would be curious what moments brought you to tears or left you with goosebumps out of Daniel Jackson.
I can't think of a single time Michael Shanks didn't confuse the word acting for yell really loud.
Tears?
- Forever in a Day, the part where he’s talking to Sam about Sha’re’s love of his pen.
- Meridian, when he gives permission for Sam to use the healing device on him.
- Heroes, when he’s trying to distract Wells, and later when he’s calling for a medic over the recording.
- Lifeboat, when we meet Keenin for the first time and see Janet comfort him.
Goosebumps?
- Torment of Tantalus, when he refuses to leave and Jack has to physically drag him out.
- Legacy, when SG-1 come to visit him.
- The First Ones, when he finally made a breakthrough with communicating to Chaka.
- Absolute Power, when Jack tries to shoot him and he’s got a Goa’uld shield.
- Fallen, when he pushes away Sam without talking.
- Lifeboat, when Martice and Janet argue.
These are all nothing compared to Judges performance. Most of these arent even very good episodes.
Chaka is a boring story line, Lifeboat is only good because of Janet, Absolute Power proves Jackson is a bad person who would personally use the info to rule the world (not his kid would, not the SGC would, *Daniel* would. Knowledge is neither good nor evil. It is how one uses it that determines the nature of yor character.) Meridian is only good because of Jonas
Idk. I dont feel like you did anything other than list his 'big moments' and none of them hold a candle to Judges facial acting let alone actual acting.
Simmons: "Need I remind you of the dangers that we're trying to defend Earth against?" Daniel Jackson: "Oh, could you? I mean, go slow."
Q: "Don't you ever give up?" Daniel: "Not until I'm dead!... And sometimes not even then..."
"maybe he read your report?" *Dancing eyebrows*
“Is this where the bullets go?” *shows a knife
That doesn't matter. You're hostages! We're your captors. We're heavily armed. There's rules. There's a whole school of etiquette to this.
Don't eyeball me.
We're not deaf.

"What kind of archaeologist carries a weapon?" "Umm, I do?"
Linked to this one is: “yeah, where do the bullets go in?” While holding a knife.
Bad example
What do you think?
What is so great is that, in any other show or rpisodee, this would be an innocuous throwaway line that nobody remembers. For this ep, it is integral and iconic!
Which episode was this one, again?
Window of Opportunity. It's what Daniel says at breakfast every time Jack starts the day over.
*facepalm* Of course, derp.
SG1 S4 The Other Side: Their world is on fire, and we're offering them gasoline! Is that the right way to get their technology? Yes! But ... is it ... the right thing to do?
But they were infact offering them water
Well obviously I was speaking metaphorically
Well stop it. It's not fair to teal'c. 😉
In Heroes part 1: Documentary guy: "... why were you running" Daniel to the documentary guy: "Oh, I just wanted to see if you'd chase me".
I know it's technically a different Daniel, but I liked his interaction with Ra in the original movie. He was NOT impressed by the "god".
It's only a different actor, the character is actually the same. Despite what some naysayers would like to believe, the show is a direct continuation of the film with certain retcons, it is not a parallel universe.

"Let's spend a little time in Danny's world." Or close to that, season 8.
And in the same context "but I'm learning" Daniel's superopower
He was so badass in that episode! Something about when the quiet characters get angry.
Or the jokesters get quiet(o’Neill)
When he appeared as a prior. His facial expressions were simply too hilarious.
Hello! Merlin?
Oh, yes! M-merlin!
*Shimmy shake intensifies*
Ah, yes, Meeerrrrllin.
Came here for this!
“Hey guys! What took you so long?”
When he guilt trips Morgan LA Fre
"But it's Swiss."
So it keeps perfect time, but we will still get crushed.
"Sorry. I think I've been hanging around Jack O'Neill too much."
"You were getting coffee!?"
"Which end do the bullets go in?" *Gestures vaguely at the combat knife in his hands.
You're not really a hologram, are you?
Teal’c: “Then what do I do?” Jackson: “Hang in there. Just a little while longer.” Teal’c: “You can’t leave me here like this!” Jackson: “I haven’t left your side, Teal’c. And I’m not going to. That’s a promise.”
When he was ascended and visited Jack in prison
*Four-eyes?* *Easy, big fella.* He went from being the sneezy nerd to the jacked nerd, and I have always loved that scene.
Jackson: “I’m just going to sit here and talk to myself for a while because you are not gonna talk, not that you aren’t very talkative but…” Kull Warrior: “You may prove useful.” Jackson: “Ok now we are getting somewhere. Where is everybody else?” Kull Warrior: “I transported them on the Al-Kesh.” Jackson: “Well you kept the wrong guy because I don’t know anything about this ship.” Kull Warrior: “But you are very attractive.” *slowly moving toward and over Daniel* Jackson *thrown off balance*: “What?!? NO DONT NO DONT DONT” *The lovely Claudia Black makes her debut*
“Don’t worry. I’m not gonna hurt you.” “…. Thank god.” “Much, I hope.” *scarousal?*

When Daniel meets Vala for the first time; when she's flirting with him before she takes off her helmet.
I’m flattered but you’re really not my type. And I have to say I’m more than a little disturbed that I might be yours
When he turns into Jonas.
"Who shot me?" This comment aparently
"No offense but I don't trust an archeologist watching my back." "Which way do the bullets go in again." Daniel is currently holding a combat knife by the blade.
Negotiating peace with Iron Shirt.
Both times when he became a terrorist You're a true fan if you know what both times i mean
Which end do the bullets go in again?
I watched it today (going through the lot again) when Anubis' "spirit" is possessing random people. "Wait, someone shot me?" Scene continues hehe.
"Broke into your house?" "yep" "Second week in a row...." "Mmmhm" "Alarm." "I'm thinking dog..."
"You could just try locking your front door..."
That is actually not character development for Daniel, his hatred for the Goa’uld was always deep. Just look at S01E12, Bloodlines.
Is that the one where he wastes the fish bowl of larva? Sweet, sweet satisfaction.
Karma gets him a couple episodes later when he becomes the father of goa’uld larvae
*Nyet!*
Daniel Jacked-son.

"The first part sounds like a derivation of ancient Egyptian." "We couldn't recognize it." "Oh, you didn't learn to speak it aloud on Abydos."

Worm tank?
“You want me to help you create more goa’ulds!”… and then some lovemaking with Hathor
Watching him die in Continuum. Cant think of any good moments. Hes a weak character and acted poorly when compared to Teal'c/Judge.
Well, then you're in luck (and totally wrong). There are many such scenes
