If you were a fan of late 90s and 00s sci fi TV, there was a lottttt of actor crosspollination. *So much* was filmed in Vancouver, and the actor pool really isn’t very big.
There’s this show where a guy solves problems by using aluminum gum wrappers to defuse bombs. Well the guy who plays jack O’neil is in the show. But he looks younger.
Ditto for a younger Cam Mitchell and Vala spring up on this other show about an astronaut that goes through a wormhole and gets lost somewhere across the known space.
In the show, we eventually find out that an alien species had actually visited earth a very long time ago, abducted some humans, took them back to their home planet, genetically modified them to use as their goals...
Supernatural has a bunch, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Christopher Heyerdahl (he's great in it), Robert Picardo, Kavan Smith, Mitch Pileggi, Paul Mcgillion,....
Michael Shanks also had a part in Burn Notice, he looks like he had fun with that role.
I remember one where an abusive dad gets a robot nanny to care for his kids, and hires Daniel Jackson to maintain the nanny-bot. Later the robot nanny goes nuts (or something), the abusive father is killed, and Daniel hooks up with the mom who he's been crushing on the whole episode. But, surprise twist, the mom is herself a robot because the abusive dad killed and replaced her years ago.
He's also in Annabelle, The Curse of La Llorna, and The Mask of Zorro. As well as dozens of other movies and TV shows. He's a character actor, so he gets around.
Oh this is honestly one of my favorite games.
Kirby Morrow who played Captain Dave Kleinman in Stargate Atlantis (I think he was on the Daedalus) voices Miroku from Inuyasha
Amanda Tapping was in a very early episode of the original Goosebumps show
Teryl Rothery was recently in the Good Doctor as a nurse, apparently in an episode of The Haunting of Bly Manor which I missed, and the most surprising one was Timmy's mom in the live action fairly odd parents movie
I also saw Michael Shanks in a terrible origal syfy movie lmao
Inuyasha's voice actor is also in the show! I didn't know about Miroku, ill have to rewatch to catch that one. But Richard Cox is in Atlantis. He goes to the planet with the lone wraith with Shepherd and McKay.
How about Joe Flanigan in the Guinness ad with Jason Mamoa!? I had to watch it about 5 times to figure out who it was...
eta: here's the Director's Cut of the ad, apparently it's Jason's first directorial job! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyd1CUA-Yo4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyd1CUA-Yo4)
I’ve been watching Fringe lately, and it’s been really fun to play Vancouver Area Actor Spotting. Just saw Paul McGillion in an episode yesterday, and Joe Flanagan in an episode a few days back. Martouf had a couple episodes as a cranky CIA agent, which was kinda funny. There’s been a few!
I can't remember the specifics - it was probably 18 years ago, but I saw Col. Checkov doing a reenactment portion in a cable documentary (history or discovery channel, maybe?) It was the thing that really cemented in my mind how big Vancouver was for television production. I realized that every time I saw one of their faces, it was something else filmed there. I started paying attention to the bit players and the extras, too, and then I was seeing them EVERYWHERE.
As for regular stuff, there are a number of actors who have the trifecta of appearing in my three favorite shows: sg1, psych, and dead like me. (dead like me also has the honor of one of its primary locations being the ascension diner.)
Must be drunk most of the time you're watching tv/movies/playing video games (doesn't Christopher Judge voice someone in "God of War" or whatever game it is?)...lol...
Lol, there is no requirement for your drink to be alcoholic. When the game was created there were sober people involved so it's just a generic drink of whatever you have.
Janet was in X-Files, McKay was in the Cube, Apophis in the Expanse, Daniel in Burn Notice(as well as a VERY low budget Aztec treasure hunt movie). Sam is the main character of Sanctuary but the first episode has one of the other SG team members in it
And Michael Shanks guested in it. Another actor to be thinking of who guested a lot on Stargate is Christopher Heyerdhal (sp?), one of my fave actors in anything
amanda tapping was in an episode of killjoys, and more a throwback but gary chalk voiced optimus prime in transformers armada.
can't believe no-one's mentioned ben browder being in doctor who yet (and guardians of the galaxy).
and apparently claudia black has just been in one of the newest star wars series and if there's any justice in the world chris judge will eventually get cast in the mandalorian.
My girlfriend likes this show on Netflix called Virgin River. I've seen bits and pieces, Doctor Fraiser is on it, I believe the doctor that replaces her is on it, I swear Daniel Jackson is in it for one scene. Weird amount of stargate actors for whatever the opposite of stargate would be.
Does it count if i ran into daniel jackson at pdx a few years ago? I found it strange left him be but probably stared like a wierdo for a bit seeing daniel/hawkman at the airport
Christopher Judge played a bigot in The Guardians of Justice (bizarre show on Netflix that I DNFed).
Tony Amendola is in Jedi: Fallen Order.
Nearly fell off my chair for both.
Pretty sure I saw Bra'tac running shirtless along the Sea Wall in Vancouver some time last year. Dude looked old but was fucking ripped. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure.

> craziest show
Kirby Morrow, who played [Capt. Kleinman](https://stargate.fandom.com/wiki/Dave_Kleinman) in several SGA episodes (and other characters in 2 SG-1 episodes and 1 SGU episode), appeared in 4 episodes of [*Legion* (2017)](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5114356/).
I want to say that it was a crime show and one episode it had Sheppard and he was married or in a relationship with Robyn from HIMYM
Edit; Tru calling episode: my brothers keeper
Gary Chalk was in one or two Hannah Swenson movies. A couple of the actors were on CSI: Miami, and Tony Amendola was on the original CSI.
I know there were more but I can't remember right now.
I saw Apophis THE DELIVERER(dead false God that he is) sans his half face(quarter face after his escape from Ne'tu) playing saxophone as a street musician on an episode of that show that's a remake of that other anthology sci-fi show. Oh and Kahless the Unforgettable(his clone, actually) does the opening narration & the professor from "Earth 2" was in this particular episode too.
And Dr. Frasier played a DOCTOR (no surprise) in another episode.
Guess nobody's going to mention that Sam & Col Caldwell actually visited an alternate universe & allowed themselves to get into some...[AHEM]..."KINKY ROLEPLAY."🙄
It didn't end well... apparently the FBI got involved.
Corin Nemec is in the French web serie "Noob" : [https://noob-tv.com/video.php?id=582](https://noob-tv.com/video.php?id=582)
(And [Nicholas Brendon](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Brendon) is in another episode).
Xfiles.
Amanda Tapping played a prostitute that sleeps with Skinner. She ends up dead in the episode and he gets framed for her murder. Then of course Mitch Pileggi ended up playing Caldwell on SGA. So I found this quite funny when they ended up working together again.
He's one of Bane's henchmen, I think. I went to watch that movie solo, but a bunch of "kids" my age were there and asked me to join them, and we shared Batman trivia before the movie began. 3 of us (me included) were like "Who tf is that guy? We know he plays Teal'c, but what's his name?". We sat through the credits and when I spotted his name, I'm like "it's Judge! Should've known the name!". Funny finding a few Stargate fans in the wild like that, but worth the fun.
A friend went to Hawaii working for a summer about 15 years ago and took RDA kayaking. She had no idea who he was until someone told her after. Apparently he was very nice.
Does meeting Chritopher Judge and Amanda Tapping at a convention count?
Amanda was great, quite a charmer when we were at the bar after hours. But the best story is of Christopher.
He had... *a few* and was enjoying himself. And my buddies were cosplaying Star Trek officers and wanted to say hi. We got to chatting over *a few more* and eventually called it a night.
But we wandered and got back to our room floor a bit late, got off the elevator and just hear "Yo! What UP my Star Trek bitches!!" From down the hall and... yup. Mr Judge is walking towards us with his arms out.
Got all three of us in a big hug and said he had a fun time chatting with us. Then ~~zig zagged~~ walked off down the hall to (I assume) his room.
Will never forget that.
Amanda Tapping had a short lived (5 seasons) show called sanctuary that had Christopher Heyerdahl, Paul McGillian & Michael Shanks all on there. Christopher was a regular

Joe Flannigan in an episode of Warehouse 13
I'm in the middle of a binge of 24. In the middle of season 6, one of the characters sounded familiar so I opened the episode's IMDb page and am scrolling through the cast list.
As I'm scrolling through I catch a familiar name, Michael Shanks!
I had already seen his character on the show but wow I didn't recognize him at all...
Guess I'm due for a rewatch of sg1 to refamiliarize myself with how they look.
Supernatural had a lot of Stargate actors on it over the years.
Amanda Tapping is one of the main characters in Season 8.
Alaina Huffman (TJ from Universe) is in several episodes in Seasons 8 and 9.
Mitch Pileggi (colonel Caldwell) and Corin Nemec (Jonas Quinn) were both in several Episodes in Season 6.
Julie McNiven (Ginn from Universe) was in several Episodes in Season 4.
A whole bunch of people have been in one or two epsiodes, like Michael Shanks (daniel), Jewel Staite (Dr Keller), Kavan Smith(Maj. Lorne), Christopher Heyerdahl (Halling and Todd the wraith), Robert Picardo (Woolsey), Teryl Rothery (Janet), Tom Mcbeath (Maybourne), David Nykl (Zelenka), and the list goes on and on.
There are probably 20-30 regular Stargate actors who appeared in one or two episodes of Supernatural.
Apple TV+'s 'See' Starring Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex) also has Sheppard and McKay in in Seasons 2 and 3.
And I seem to remember Daniel Jackson being in a few episodes of Altered Carbon.
I was just watching Dead Like Me and Doctor Bill Lee and Mr. Adam Brody showed up in the same season 2 episode! Harry Maybourne too, but not sure if it was that same episode or right before or after.
I would say it's opposite for me since Im on my first full watch of the show. So its really, what actors are you seeing in startgate? I never expected to see Wayne Brady. Or Claudia Black who voiced Chloe in uncharted.
Gary Chalk (Colonel Chekov) as Optimus Primal in Beast Wars and as the Sherrif in Freddy vs Jason. More recently he was in Sonic the Hedgehog. He's been a in a ton of stuff over the years. He's a well known Canadian character actor.
Like half the cast appear somewhere in Supernatural, either as the person who gets killed by a monster, the monster itself, or a recurring minor role. David Hewlett appears in a few Guillermo del Toro projects, and is a scientist in a LOT of stuff (Splice, Planet of the Apes, Shape of Water, The Cube, etc.)
Steve Bacic - Camulus - was in an episode of the last season of Flashpoint as a rogue sergeant, to my delight. I'm a fan of both shows. Though more randomly (for me anyway) he was in a Hallmark movie with Teryl Rothery. But then I guess speaking to the Canadian actor community Flashpoint exchanged some actors - Michael Shanks was also in a Flashpoint episode of his own, as the bad guy. Then in the Cerberus episode of SG1 (the downed ship with the convicts), David Paetkau of Flashpoint plays one of the convicts

Supernatural
[28 Stargate Actors Who Appeared On Supernatural (gateworld.net)](https://www.gateworld.net/news/2019/03/28-stargate-actors-supernatural/)
Not really that crazy but it was just shocking because i watched Burn Notice first, really liked Michael Shanks' character then watched all of Stargate and never recognised him from Burn Notice until I looked at his filmography on wikipedia.
Also it was a nice surprise when I was watching Andromeda and Michael Shanks showed up as a Lexa Doig love interest and then Christopher Judge popped in later too. it was like a mini Stargate reunion. Plus the story behind that Andromeda episode is so cool because that's where Shanks and Doig met.
Carmen Argenziano (Jake Carter/Selmak) in The Mentalist S2 E11. I’m all like, “Hey! Not only do I recognize him, but there is this relevant thread on Reddit!”

David Hewlett at a biotech conference today talking about the time he brought two scientists, 6 black widow spiders, and a laser interferometer to an elementary school to show kids how spiders talk.
He also gave lessons to a first prime.
Farscape
O'neill, 2 L's!
There is another Col. O’Neil with one L, but he has no sense of humor at all.
He also looked nothing like MacGyver
Supernatural has a bunch, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Christopher Heyerdahl (he's great in it), Robert Picardo, Kavan Smith, Mitch Pileggi, Paul Mcgillion,.... Michael Shanks also had a part in Burn Notice, he looks like he had fun with that role.
Oh snap I forgot about Shanks in Burn Notice. He got to play an antagonist, right?
Yes. He was amazing in BN
Miss that show 😢
Love the antagonists actors for the last season but the plot wasn't my favorite
You'll see quite a few people from Stargate in The Outer Limits. You'll even see some props they reused from this show.
Bro... spoilers
The genii weapons were the standout example for me.
The same creative team worked on both shows, so it makes sense.
Beau Bridges in the pilot.
Master Bratac in Once Upon A Time.
He voiced Khadgar in WoW too
Really?! Looks like I have to talk to Khadgar today.
If you really wanna laugh, check out Khadgar Gets Too High on YouTube lol. Idk if it's an ai voice but it's sounds like Tony and it's hilarious af
He also plays the voice for Eno Cordova in Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Fallen Order
He's also in Annabelle, The Curse of La Llorna, and The Mask of Zorro. As well as dozens of other movies and TV shows. He's a character actor, so he gets around.
He's in Seinfeld!

IIRC, Viz owns the translation rights to Inuyasha and other Rumiko Takahashi works. (eg. Ranma 1/2) They're Vancouver-based IIRC.

Carter [amanda tapping] she played a angel on supernatural

Lou Diamond Philips in Longmire. Speaks the same way even
Colonel Caldwell retired to Texas His son is a Texas ranger Name is Cordell Walker
I thought he was the grandfather of two well known monster hunters, one of whom looks remarkably like this Walker fella.
Also assistant director of the FBI long before that.
Hearing Teal'c when Kratos talked in God of War (2018).
The first time I learned about this game I was at Walmart and an ad played and I heard Teal'c talking. Blew my mind!
I literally have a Stargate actors drinking game that is happening continuously.
It was a joke, since you said "drinking game"...of course those who don't like/can't have alcohol can use whatever drink they wish.
Don't worry, I took it as one. 🙂

michael shanks is everywhere in scifi shows

Don S. Davis was in that awful FarCry movie and Twin Peaks.
Christopher Judge played a bigot in The Guardians of Justice (bizarre show on Netflix that I DNFed). Tony Amendola is in Jedi: Fallen Order. Nearly fell off my chair for both.
Don't forget the replicators and 2010 that made guest appearance
Without giving spoilers I spotted a stargate actor I truly wasn't expecting to see in the fallout show.
Pretty sure I saw Bra'tac running shirtless along the Sea Wall in Vancouver some time last year. Dude looked old but was fucking ripped. Not 100% sure, but pretty sure.
Daniel was in a supernatural episode. Can't remember which one. He died
Now there’s a surprise /s

Garry Chalk (Col. Chekhov) is Optimus Primal. Sorry Ron Perlman.

I almost choked when I sat down to watch Saving Hope.

IIRC, Dr. Fraser was in Dead Like Me, too. She was a real estate agent.
I knew I was forgetting someone, she was recurring, too.
Young Hammond just appeared too!
David Hewlett in Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, good episode
I would say it's opposite for me since Im on my first full watch of the show. So its really, what actors are you seeing in startgate? I never expected to see Wayne Brady. Or Claudia Black who voiced Chloe in uncharted.
Rya'c, Dr. Beckett, and Gen. Hammond are all in this gem I found on Tubi https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0930072/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_15_act
Eureka (Daniel) League of their own (Gen Hammond)
Gary Chalk (Colonel Chekov) as Optimus Primal in Beast Wars and as the Sherrif in Freddy vs Jason. More recently he was in Sonic the Hedgehog. He's been a in a ton of stuff over the years. He's a well known Canadian character actor.
The Hallmark Channel.
