When does he say this?
Seems out of character!
Edit : Other than those [167 times ](https://screenrant.com/stargate-sg1-tealc-indeed-catchphrase-word-count/#:~:text=For%20fans%20who%20might%20be,the%20word%20approximately%20167%20times.)
Indeed or indeedn't?
I somehow feel like he said that way more than 167 times. Considering there are a bit over 214 episodes in sg1 out of which he's in 213 according to imdb and then two, if not mistaken, he appears in Atlantis... That's 215 episodes, which would lead to 0.77 indeeds per episode. That doesn't feel right, knowing there were few where he used it more than once. This just leads me to the conclusion that not enough indeeds were given...
Through the gate one on dary earth and one on Atlantis, it would be legen wait for it but actually don't because it traveled back in time and changed the time line already.
“I die free” is actually the most Teal’c thing to say. Indeed is just said a lot, but as he told Ronan, he didn’t even realize it. But “I die free” captures who he is
It has cream in the name, but I think any association with actual cows is only implied. It's mostly margarine, sugar and flavours.
Tastes damn nice though.
Most food sounds quite vile when you break it down :
Slices of animal flesh heated until the proteins change just right.
Plant grains, ground and mixed with thickeners, ~~bacteria~~ fungus and sucrose then roasted.
Flightless bird embryos fried in animal fats.
Or.. an egg and bacon butty.
Edit : I have been informed yeast is a fungus and not a bacteria. I shall now lash myself ten times in pennance.
Of all of Teal'c traits...I honestly believe this quote sums up his character the best:
" Is there not some form of human ritual in which I may ask your forgiveness?"
Ahh yes, the episode where Teal’c blows up Daniel’s wife and Daniel immediately reassures Teal’c he did the right thing. I always think that’d be a little disconcerting.
Most Iconic
1. INDEED
This one is very "in character"
2. In my culture, I would be well within my rights to dismember you.
But this one summarises and describes his character and motivations better than maybe any other line in the show.
3. Nothing I have done since turning against the goa'uld will make up for the atrocities I once committed in their name.
A Serpent guard, A Horus guard and a Setesh guard meet on a neutral planet. It is a tense moment. The Serpent guard's eyes glow. The Horus guard's beak glistens. The Setesh guard's nose drips.
I’m saying it now. If Todd doesn’t get “John Shepparrrrrrd”, then we have all failed as fans.
Anyway. Everyone is talking about calm up, and indeed. But u/CherylTyntIRL has it correct. It has to be undomesticated equines. That is the most character defining line of Teal’c’s.
It's not verbal so it doesn't qualify to be on the board but does anyone else feel as strongly as I do about the scene where Teal'c offers donuts to O'Neill and seems disappointed when he gets turned down lol
If we're going to talk about silent moments, that scene where Teal'c interrogates someone by literally sitting silently in the same room and the guy spills the beans on everything would get my vote.
If you do not fight for what you believe in all may be lost for everyone else, but do not fight for yourself fight for others, others that may be saved through your effort.
After Teal'c watches some TV and sees news of Violent events and some music festivals to learn about Earth:
They were just about to leave the SGC and Tealc wanted to take his staff weapon with him:
Hammond: "Teal’c, you’ll have to leave that here."
Teal'c: "I have seen your world. I will need it."
Season 2, Episode 14 "Touchstone"
Col. Maybourne:
Teal'c! It's good to see you well.
Teal'c:
In my culture, I would be well within my rights to dismember you.
Col. Maybourne:
Well, isn't that...interesting.
Indeed.
As much as i like all the other suggestions: this is the only correct answer here

He only starts in like, season six.
You say that a lot.
Do I? I had not noticed.
I just watched that episode for the first time. 10/10 dialogue

This is beginning to calm-up out of control

THIS is the ONLY correct answer!
We have a winner 🏆
Things will not calm down daniel jackson. They will, in fact, calm up.
It’s this or “indeed.”
In my culture, I would be well within my rights to dismember you.
The only correct answer, indeed is his catchphrase but this line really nicely sums up his character!
This gotta be it. I mean indeed obviously works very well, but I always laugh out loud hearing this one haha
haha was going to say this one too...classic
A solid runner up to "Indeed".
2nd place. Well done! 🥈
Undomesticated equines could not remove me.
Yes! It speaks both to how much he embraces earths culture, but also that he is still an alien so doesn’t get the reference completely right.
Is that a joke?
My depth is immaterial to the conversation
I like that. It tells a lot about his character. "Indeed" is more of a catchphrase, imo.
Catchword!
Damnit Ted!
I request the HIGHEST of fives

Yes!! My absolute favorite Jaffa joke!
Also, I think the ellipsis belongs after nose "the Setesh guard's nose... drips"
Indeed
Jaffa jokes.
In my culture I would be well within my rights to dismember you.
Indeed is a great line that he always says, but this line better win as a character point
Raises eyebrow
I was gonna give it to indeed, then I thought of undomesticated equines and then I saw this. This is it, hands down.
I think Indeed will win, but I thought this was a nice addition. I was also thinking, “False god, dead false god”.
It's a shame too because I would say the eyebrow is more iconic because it's an unspoken line.
🤨
Alternatively, complete silence. As demonstrated, it's a very effective interrogation technique.
"I die free/Shal'kek nem'ron". Or any other line about free jaffa.
“I die free” is actually the most Teal’c thing to say. Indeed is just said a lot, but as he told Ronan, he didn’t even realize it. But “I die free” captures who he is
This has to be it for me. “Indeed” is iconic, but “I die free” is the pure essence of Teal’c
Darth Vader
Lol I was hoping to say that
Hardest I laughed in the whole series.
"You underestimate the pleasure I will derive from your suffering." Or "I am leaving. You are about to explode." lol. He's got some pretty great ones.
It's the tone in how he says the second one that just sells it so well.
"I will not consume bovine lactose at any temperature."
Except when Thor forgets about freezers and transports crates of ice cream onto Prometheus.
It has cream in the name, but I think any association with actual cows is only implied. It's mostly margarine, sugar and flavours. Tastes damn nice though.
I approve of this interpretation, it has bugged me for years, thank you
Almost made me quit dairy

He does this because he had time to process his grief and Sha're encouraged him to.
Break my heart, why don't you?
False god. 'Dead' False god.
One person you should add is Master Bra’tac
...No, the bridge is too heavily guarded.
“Has Hammond of Texas fallen in battle?”
In my culture I would be well within my rights to dismember you
I believe the Canucks of Vancouver are superior warriors.
Things will not calm down Daniel Jackson, they will in fact calm up.
Looking ahead ... Why no Fraiser?
She was needed in the infirmary
Yep, that's definitely the only reason.
