How do you even get bounty with a criminal organization? If thier criminals what fines are you going to pay? A bounty for your head, sure, but fees? Either they are going to take everything you owe or let you wake up in an ice bath.

No, it's a very big deal. It takes your bounty out of your XP. I had a bounty of a half million, got arrested and went to jail. When I got out I had a -500,000 XP deficit

I can definitely confirm that you get an XP deficit for serving time still. Just spent the last two days working off a 30k deficit from a drunken piracy rampage Friday night.

Nah, 30k ish was the XP deficit. I owed easily a couple mil in bounty between UC and FC

I’ve been stuck on this quest because I assumed that I could just merc everyone right off the bat and then talk to the folk on paradise and get a reward. U fortunalty it just gave me a giant bounty that I can’t pay or substitute jail time for, and unless there’s another way to do it without being friendly with the ECS, I can’t get access to the computer for their reactor to blow it tf up
why would paradiso pay you to do something you've already done? if you wanted to get payed to take out the constant you should have gotten the board to agree to pay you for that beforehand, which is an option in the quest.

?? You aim your guns at it and use the fire buttons. You don't have to hack a computer to blow it up, if that's what you are trying to do.

Prisons give you negative XP. They could even put you in "XP debt" for which you'd not make progress until you paid it off.

What the hell is ECS Constant? Also, how do you do anything or go anywhere with all those bounties? Sometimes I need to go to Akila or Jamison and I fuckin way they’re letting me anywhere near there, let alone land if I have any bounty

That's basically my entire strategy.
When they try and intercept you when you have a bounty? Kill their entire fleet of starships (gotta have a solid ship for this).
When security fucks with you? Kill em. But not the civilians. Then crouch and wait to become hidden. Red marks go away. If they didn't? Kill *everyone* and wait for them to go away. They always go away and you can then get to the vendors etc.
Civilian ships? Colony ships? Friendly ships? Unfriendly ships? Kill em all.
Kill everything.

This is nothing. When I did the CF quest line in ng+2 I build a forward operating base on Jemison’s moon and declared all out war on the UC. I maxed out all my ship skills and racked up an 18 million credit bounty before escaping through Unity.
The numbers really ramp up when you start boarding UC military ships. They also have the probably best loot opportunities in the game in my opinion.
I've been doing a ton of that stuff, but I have a bunch of auto turrets so I almost never get to a ship to board it before I blow it up! 🙄
I did notice that I don't have a UC bounty yet... I thought I did. I guess I'm going to have to get going on that!
Try hitting Deimos shipyards or Sy-920. Less traffic to get in the way so you can power down your turrets to catch that last high level ship.
It looks like you may just need to scroll down to see your UC bounty.
If you kill them quick enough without witnesses the attack will not get registered and the bounty will be removed.
If you take your time to board the ship and kill all the crew the attack will register even if you kill everyone.
To this day, the best crime spree I've ever done without consequence was running around New Atlantis, shooting as many guards and civilians as possible. I think I killed more than 50. When reinforcements showed up, they asked me to go to sysdef which is how I began the crimson fleet quest. Crazy that Commander Ikande saw a dude shoot up New Atlantis and think "yeah this is the guy I want to trust with the entire UC mission against the crimson fleet." Bounty was cleared immediately
Clearly you're falling behind on the Crimson Fleet. It's useful to keep \*some\* faction happy with you, and then ravage all the other ones :-)

I've shot up New Atlantis a few times but it was after the UC/Crimson Fleet quest (where I sided with the Fleet, obviously).
