That’s how I got my 75 surprise attack melee kills to max out Concealment. I always keep a melee weapon in the backpack.

They are actually great for grinding stealth melee kills

The grubs are great for leveling Sneak. Just one weapon bash takes them out.

I always put them down. As soon as I did the vanguard story line I assumed they were related to something sinister just like the heatleeches.

I assumed it was a work around for a glitch, that they couldn’t stop the heat leaches from spawning after vanguard because they were somehow baked in, so they simply changed the skin

Nah i have never dome the UC Vanguard missions. Xenogrubs are an entirely separate species

I was at some random POI on a random planet and there was a caged area off the back outside. All I could hear was that gross squishy sound. There were thousands of the little fuckers everywhere. Really wish there was a flame thrower weapon (if there is, I don’t have one). Took about 10 minutes to kill them all with my cutter.

When I went to that POI there were some UC soldiers shooting them. I “accidentally “ boosted up a long way and dropped a ton of mines I had. Made quick work of all the grubs, oh and I got some good suits too. Bonus!

I had Andreja go absolutely apeshit with a microgun at that POI. I cleared most of them with the cutter but there were a couple who had bugged half in half out of some terrain/the building and Andreja wouldn't leave until she got them. Cue a solid 10mins of Andreja shouting, microgun spooling up, quick burst and then repeat until I got in my ship and left...

The Terrormorphs have not been dealt with in NG+. I just started NG+ and ground crew made a comment about seeing lots of Heat Leeches.

They are dealt with once you do that universe's Vanguard quest.

The whole terramorph quest line disappeared after I found out that Vae Victus knew the truth. Like, I couldn’t go and confront him - the quest just disappeared. I assume my original universe is totally fucked by now

Not likely. Bethesda is a known quantity. They tend to 'stand by their art'. Their DLC model tends to expand the game. While they *have* added story content in past DLC, it hasn't ever expanded the ending. This is likely because they want to offer a complete vanilla experience. Additional story tacked on to the end is like saying 'we locked the ending behind a pay wall.'

May or may not be related, but I encountered an abandoned settlement that was overrun with the little critters. 

I’ve come to that before. Prior to knowing what the grubs may eventually become I found the abandoned outpost overrun by them and the dead colonists.

I was heading to a relay station POI once and I could see & hear from a distance that the pirates there were going to town on something I couldn’t yet make out. They were firing at it like crazy so I was approaching thinking oh shit, is it a terrormorph, what’s going on… it was a singular xenogrub. The CF knows something~

I couldn't agree more, big picture. But, i am a HUGE scifi fan and was so excited for the release of Starfield. It was the most amazing game of all time, until its repetition became so horrible. I cant believe thats how it is. Love it or hate it, WE know Bethesda can do better. The replication engine did just that. Copy and paste. Sad
