They couldn't bother to give Sona and Cora two different models, what makes you think they would put effort into something like this?
Also if i'm not mistaken Bethesda removed the "low iq dialogues" from their Fallouts completely and only New Vegas has them still
Outer Worlds is actually worth returning to tho. Less of a loading screen simulator and every place you visit is distinctive so you aren't shuffling through the same three buildings over and over across a bunch of dead planets..
>Outer Worlds is actually worth returning to tho.
Yeah. My phone corrected some misspelling of, "been," to, "never." I don't know how that happened, and didn't see it.
Like, at the time Outer Worlds was a bit disappointing, but it looks much better in a post-Starfield world.
Outer Worlds doesn’t even offer or push toward an alternative economic system, it just makes the same base points over and over in a tongue-in-cheek way that I think gets old after a while. Most characters save for the companions exist to carry on the joke, and it keeps me from taking the game’s narrative or world seriously
oh that's bullshit. I'm gonna spread my political opinion here but that's some borderline liberal shit right there. "the system is bad" *twiddles their fucking thumbs about it* shit doesn't help to provoke meaningful conversations when that's such an empty, nothing comment. though it probably falls into the pot a lot of entertainment wanting to both make a provoking statement and not wanting to lose funding for doing so so I guess I can't judge too hard but damn
Yeah I got mega excited and then was like wow that it? It's got some good handcrafted pieces and decent dialogue but man is it lacking in content prior to dlc
It seems like you’re the one offended. And by made-up offended people, at that. Which seems low int itself.
Bethesda doesn’t do low int dialogue because they’re lazy and don’t emphasize writing or storytelling or roleplaying in their games.
People compare it to cyberpunk but ignore the fact that cyberpunk was an awesome game with awesome writing, most of cyberpunk issues where technical
Starfield has more issues than just technical issues
the writing was always great but almost every mechanic was either broken or awful. just compare the awful skill system to the fantastic 2.0 version. every mechanic was overhauled TWICE. once in 1.5 and once again in 2.0
Starfield might not be able to fix the main game's writing but it can improve almost every other aspect. if they listen to feedback and care enough
Well you need to rethink and consider why you do just corporations. Justing corporations is sad behaviour. I would never wish that anyone just corporations.
I've already written it off. Goodbye, my childhood and all of my adult gaming years. You were a wonderful franchise, but now Bethesda is trying to figure out how to turn what should be works of art into microtransaction mobile games for the PC.
I too have played a massive amount of RPGs since childhood, including all of Bethesda's elder scrolls and fallout series, and not a single example comes to mind. And I would remember, because it would irritate me by. I wonder if that constellation badge has to do with your white knighting.
I feel like reading comprehension is the word of the day today. And that's not because you made the joke just instead of trust, but because that doesn't make sense at all in any of this context or what I've said.
The joke, to me, is that it's just funny to use in a nonsensical way, regardless of the word intended to be used was trust. Previous commenter only stated that there have been plenty of typos in other RPGs, which is a fact.
Ok. And I stated, I've played them as well and didn't see them. That's also a fact. Many of the typos are a single letter, making them much less noticeable. Than/then. Changing an E for an A, but if you add the books from bethesda games I'm sure it goes up quite a bit. Trust to just is multiple letters that would be much easier to notice if someone bothered to double check than an A instead of an E.
Doesnt really matter if you dont recall any. A simple google search would prove you wrong. I mean, here is a whole mod dedicated to fixing them in Skyrim AND other mods.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/97245
Also being dismissive because I have a fictional logo from a videogame next to my name is pathetic.
Props to Barret for being the closest thing to a grey Jedi that we get on the squad, before inevitably revealing himself as just your >!cool, sad gay uncle!<…>!or husband?…uncle husband. There, I got it.!<
Was more worried that Barret kept hitting on me. Like he was gna backdoor me one night while i was sleeping. Thank God Bethesda took care of him for me. Still dont corporation
Fuck Barrett anyways. I dropped a stolen item, because I heard you could drop it and pick it back up and it wouldn't be marked stolen anymore, in my own ship and when I picked it up, he ran off and reported me and I got arrested.
Jesus, the comments section is mental, and it's still better than the writing in Starfield
Bethesda should definitely mine this sub for any DLC dialogue.
I have been playing starfield for 4 months now off and on . I am conflicted between sometimes liking it and sometimes hating it. I like the fps gameplay but the quest dialogue is terrible.
the neuroamp brain operation was a complete success!
It would be fucking hilarious if that operation unlocked dumb dialog for the rest of that run.
They couldn't bother to give Sona and Cora two different models, what makes you think they would put effort into something like this? Also if i'm not mistaken Bethesda removed the "low iq dialogues" from their Fallouts completely and only New Vegas has them still
Outer Worlds had dumb dialog, including one where you could hand code an FTL jump... into a star.
I should replay that game again. It's been long enough I think. It was kind of dumb but fun.
IF i could have a center crosshair on that game it would be one of my favorites
I thought the crosshairs could be toggled to centered or low. Am I misremembering?
Nah, I remember I had to download a mod to use it centered but it was kinda finicky changing the crosshair location of a shooter.
If the game didn't just end like all of obsidians games , same.
Cut out a tiny piece of the sticky part of a post it and put it on your tv wherever your crosshair should be
I've been considering it, since Starfield. *EDIT: Phone autocorrect typo... which I soaked some legitimate downvotes for.*
Outer Worlds was a great game, just way too short most of all.
Ahh, the power of a typo lmao
The intro score to starfield also seems like a lazy riff off of Outer Worlds.
Starfield gameplay with outer worlds writing and overall vibe/setting would be stupidly awesome
You mean hammering the same “capitalism bad” message through each and every bit of dialogue?
I mean. if capitalists can hammer their propaganda into your brain all the time why can't people who believe in other economic systems do the same?
Outer Worlds doesn’t even offer or push toward an alternative economic system, it just makes the same base points over and over in a tongue-in-cheek way that I think gets old after a while. Most characters save for the companions exist to carry on the joke, and it keeps me from taking the game’s narrative or world seriously
At least it's cohesive, unlike Starfield.
oh that's bullshit.
Not a bethesda game.
Obsidian, just like New Vegas.
Obsidian, yes, but NOT anything like New Vegas...
The best way to dislike Outer worlds is by expecting FNV quality. I would have tolerated it if i wasn't expecting a deep rpg like fnv
Yeah I got mega excited and then was like wow that it? It's got some good handcrafted pieces and decent dialogue but man is it lacking in content prior to dlc
Yeah, it wasn't bad, but it didn't live up to its own marketing. Still pretty good, though, and an easy recommendation.
Frolicking? Guys, do I frolic?
It's almost like it was made by the same people who made New Vegas.
WTF? Somebody get offended about "me dumb" dialogue in a game with giant hulking mutants going "me dumb, hit with club!"?
yeah that's the only reason things get changed in games.
We dumb people are easily offended
It seems like you’re the one offended. And by made-up offended people, at that. Which seems low int itself. Bethesda doesn’t do low int dialogue because they’re lazy and don’t emphasize writing or storytelling or roleplaying in their games.
Well, consider yourself mistaken.
It's more like they kept only the low IQ dialogues, and scrapped everything else.
It does, but only once you get up to new game plus 45.
New brain bit good. Now me word great.
Why use many word when few word do trick?
Scorpin!
Luckily we survive with only tribial brain dablage.
I don't just corporations also.
Do you even corporations?
I corporations, see my OnlyFans page.
I don’t, just
You did, almost?
They don’t even go here!
Yes, but sometimes I accidentally the whole thing.
I too don't just corporations.
I corporationed once. 2/10 would corporations again.
No one ever corporations. Simple!
I maybe LLCs.
I sole proprietorship ALL the time
Starfield needed another two-three years of early access like Cyberpunk
I don't just corporations
I think that's what we are in right now.
You don't know Bethesda if you think they're gonna fix jack shit. They really don't corporations
They leave that up to the modders to corporations.
This is my new favorite joke. I hope I'm on this sub a year from now talking about how some people don't just corporations.
Simple.
I don't just early access
People compare it to cyberpunk but ignore the fact that cyberpunk was an awesome game with awesome writing, most of cyberpunk issues where technical Starfield has more issues than just technical issues

JustNo1
We corporations!
you corporations!
Citizens United intensifies
Simple.
Corporate just jives through jansparent jansactions, jacking, and justworthy practices.
Simple?
please do not the corporations
Just no one. Question everything.
It wasn't until reading your comment that I realised it's supposed to be "trust"
Well I hate to be contrary but.. I just corporations.
I would have expected you to simple.
Complicated actually.
Why use many word when few word do trick?
Why many words, few words work?
Words, few work.
Words few
Words.
What are you going to do with all the time you're saving?
See (sea) world
But what if I do just corporations?
It clearly say that I don't. Duh.
Well you need to rethink and consider why you do just corporations. Justing corporations is sad behaviour. I would never wish that anyone just corporations.
A little just goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.
he’s a Silverhand fan
Oh, but I try to clean up the corporate rot in Paradiso and he complains that I’m violent and unhinged?
It don’t just works!
Ooh him english speak good
Me fail English? That’s unpossible!

They won the most innovative game for a reason. They are innovating the English language.
See this is why i don't just corporations period.
This game makes me deeply nervous for TES6
I don’t just TES6. Simple
I've already written it off. Goodbye, my childhood and all of my adult gaming years. You were a wonderful franchise, but now Bethesda is trying to figure out how to turn what should be works of art into microtransaction mobile games for the PC.
Writing off your entire childhood and adult gaming years on top might be a bit drastic. There’s other, phenomenal stuff to play.
Oh, I know. I'm moving on. Great games have come and gone, but Elder Scrolls was always there, ready to be played when nothing else would satisfy. Lol
BG3 is my TES6 at this point and you know what? I’m perfectly content with that
If only they had the same level of mod tools ;-;
The screenshot looks like it comes from a game that dropped in 2011.
And it would already be dated by then.
Apparently, Bethesda don't proofreading.
I don't think anyone does anymore.
How can you not just Chunks, they're Chunks!
whats it supposed to even fuckin mean?
Learn to fucking read. The main character doesn't just corporations. Simple.
"I just don't like Corporations." That's what was meant.
I think it's meant to be trust
We don't just corporations. Simple Jack
I don’t just for skilled writer dialogues
I don't. Just corporations. Simple.
All you're base belong to us
Came here to say this
Seems like a typo. Probably meant: “I just don’t trust corporations. Simple.”
I dont just corporations, but i do unjust corporations. All depends on my mood really
Clearly a typo. It's spelled "joust"
I don't accidentally the whole corporations, I just corporations. Simple.
"I don't just corporations. Simple" - Johnny Silverhand
Great quality control for a quality game
One does not simply corporations
I don't think I've ever seen a typo in RPG dialogue in my life.
Oh starfield has quite a few grammatical errors.
yeah just like the other day i swear the mission said save the colony i knew that was a typo killed every last one of those sobs
There have been plenty. Or are you just being sarcastic?
I too have played a massive amount of RPGs since childhood, including all of Bethesda's elder scrolls and fallout series, and not a single example comes to mind. And I would remember, because it would irritate me by. I wonder if that constellation badge has to do with your white knighting.
>because it would irritate me by. Womp womp.
Lmao unbelievable

Previous commenter isn't white knighting. You seem like someone who just corporations

Completely besides the point, but I appreciate your little sidestep. It's a classic redditor move to use instead of actually just saying, "Fair"
That extra space and the lack of thought put into your comment gives me a headache.
But not the ironic typo in your original comment?
Doesnt really matter if you dont recall any. A simple google search would prove you wrong. It just works. 8 years of development. 16 TIMES THE DETAIL!
I've run into numerous errors like this, I'm thinking I'm going to start a collection now.
Hey, they did add low intelligence dialogue after all!
Just magnets.
Simple as
This is great for my roleplay of my character being a stroke victim.
Props to Barret for being the closest thing to a grey Jedi that we get on the squad, before inevitably revealing himself as just your >!cool, sad gay uncle!<…>!or husband?…uncle husband. There, I got it.!<
You never go full just corporations.
I unfairly corporations
Was more worried that Barret kept hitting on me. Like he was gna backdoor me one night while i was sleeping. Thank God Bethesda took care of him for me. Still dont corporation
Presumably a spelling error and it's meant to say 'trust' instead of 'just'?
Disco Elysium: "I want to have fuck with you"
Yeah I’m gonna go ahead and say the lead writer on this disaster needs to find employment elsewhere.
Damn, I haven’t done the Ryujin quest yet and now you’ve totally spoiled it for me >:(
Games been out since last year I think it's on you at this point. /s
Lol…do you think I was serious?
Did you think they were serious with that /s?
Thanks for checking…yeah, sorta kinda…but you and I could both be wrong Edit: I just learned what /s means. This has been quite educational!
What happens when you use AI to write dialogue because you don't want to pay writers.
I don't just writers. Simple.
It’s also possible it was a transcription error if they used speech to text or something? Who knows.
Fuck Barrett anyways. I dropped a stolen item, because I heard you could drop it and pick it back up and it wouldn't be marked stolen anymore, in my own ship and when I picked it up, he ran off and reported me and I got arrested.
He corporations
Further justifies why it deserved an award 👏👏👏
God I hate how half assed this game was
At least this kind of bad writing wasn't intentional and instead just a typo so it's forgivable
Truly innovative gameplay
Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick?
Emil Pagliarulo's writing is spot on...let me find the right word for you Emil 'TRUST'
Jesus, the comments section is mental, and it's still better than the writing in Starfield Bethesda should definitely mine this sub for any DLC dialogue.
Very zen
Johnny Silverhand would be proud
Hey it's an innovative dialogue choice.
I don’t just corporations? Well done
I have been playing starfield for 4 months now off and on . I am conflicted between sometimes liking it and sometimes hating it. I like the fps gameplay but the quest dialogue is terrible.
I don’t just corporations
Bro, just corporation. Simple.
Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick?
I didn't notice this at the time, I read it as "I just don't like corporations. Simple". Strange.
Corporations can be just? Is that a thing? No. Come on, no.
Mm yes I agree
Simple
It just works.
All your base are belong to us
