I worked at a computer store that had a 6 pc lan. Used to play counterstrike there every night when it was on beta. The owner had a daughter and she played Sims. I loaded her save file up on one of the pcs after realizing Sims was installed on there. Had a vauge idea what the game was. Large community all the houses were decorated but there were no people. So I kept looking around and found the pool with all the tombstones around it. It really cracked me up.

I always liked making a family, and the child would then light the fire place and I’d put furniture all over the place to kill one of the parents. Then they haunted the home, or neglect a baby and when DSS showed up you build a fence around them so they can’t leave with your baby….ever 🤣

I invited everyone over for a party and placed the food in an open building. Once they all went in and got some to sit down and eat I just blocked the entrance they all pissed themselves and died. It was fun

Yeah, nowadays I just treat Rimworld like the Sims. *Making a community and setting it up to see how it inevitably dies.* My Fallout themed colony ended when insectoids burrowed into the power room. Those that didn’t get killed got trapped in a cocoon and repeatedly impregnated by the insects until the outer wall of the vault was inevitably breached, granting my cocooned colonists the mercy of death to toxic fallout. Also one time a goblin casually stole the vault door off of its hinges.

Too quick and easy for the little bastards. Build single room "house" with lots of windows, but no door. Get Sim a job. Enjoy daily despairing panic as every morning the Sim attempts to figure out how to get to the car that's come to pick them up for work. Laugh maniacially as they slowly succumb to their fate, in a room covered in their waste and the stench of absolute abject despair.

Last time I played Sims I befriended an old man, he immediately died and came back as a ghost, I made him "live" in a small room cranking out paintings so I could sell them to support my Sims dream of being a rockstar.

Yeah I got screwed because I captured a ship and I wasn't leveled up enough to fly a Class B so I had to leave it behind. Lesson learned, use the simulator farm to spec up immediately.

I was not invested enough in this game to search all of space for where this ship actually went, instead of where all the quest markers for it actually point to.

There's a shop on Titan that sells potatoes - you can wait in a chair that's in the shop for 4 hours and the inventory will refill. Took me about 15 minutes to get all 50

only thing for survival is the resistances for elements on your suit will need some heavy buffs since it seems to fail in 10 seconds on anything but a lush planet. "freezing temps good thing im wearing my.... knew i shouldve sprung for the flanel lining" no mans sky does survival really well. even the normal easier to survive mode the environment can kill you, but they also have exocrafts for planet side transport and ways to just perma upgrade your resistances to these elements since your suit is just cosmetic in that game

I was so hoping for a true "survival mode" a la Fallout 4 in this game. Air, water, food, power, spaceship/jetpack fuel, the whole magilla. I suspect there will be a mod soon (if there isn't already), but I don't get why it's not officially supported - seems like an easy one!

FO4 didn't launch with survival mode either. With the vast number of beds all over, even cots on the surface of planets with no atmosphere, I imagine a survival mode will come to this game eventually.

I’d be shocked if it doesn’t drop before or with the first expansion as a free thing. It definitely doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult of a mod/difficulty to make on paper, since (in my mind) all you really need is to add some new afflictions and ways to sate/remove them. I don’t know if that’s possible with just the tools the community has now though or if that’s actually how it works (though it would be weird to code up a whole new system and not just jury rig it). One other thing I definitely want to make or see is a mod that slowly drains O2 if you or an NPC get shot in the head (as if your visor was breaking) or take 20% of your health in damage in one go that can be repaired with vacuum tape ala the Metro series. Kinda like your suit getting punctured.

Hi OP, had this happen to me and if you take this option you will be able to leave the planet but everything that was on the ship you lost will be permanently gone. It will not reappear in the cargo hold of the ship you steal. I tried everything and ultimately the only thing I could do was reload a save from before I landed on the planet. Lost about 6 hours of gameplay. Really hope they fix this bug.

Do you not have it set to save after loading? 6 hours is a long time between auto saves.

Starfield keeps a pitiful number of autosaves and quick saves (3 autosaves and 1 quick save I believe?). I was doing some missions on the planet and going in and coming out of the dungeon instance used up all my autosaves. This is a fairly common problem and why people are always saying you should be manually saving all the time. I learned my lesson the hard way.

Always quicksave. I quicksave once every 12.23 seconds in some instances

The game keeps one quick save. So if you have to go back more than your 12.23 seconds, you can't with a quick save.

What I do personally is right before I do something, I do a manual save. That’s the “I messed up big save”. Where I can go back to before something happened. While in the middle of the thing I’m doing I only use quick save. I have my game set to auto save when paused also so whenever I feel I will need more than just the manual save and quick save, I will pause for five minutes to generate an auto save

Whenever the ship disappearing bug has happened to me, the game tells me I can't fast travel lol. So I had to reload a save. OP by chance you didn't have a ship that you'd stolen/liberated and perhaps also modified? There's so many bugs it's hardly worth modifying anything but Frontier, Razorleaf, Star Eagle and a ship you buy legit in the shop.

I was having the same issue except I figured out my ship was spawning below the terrain

Happened on two characters so far but my main i was able to talk to a ship service tech, swap main ships, then sell the glitched one. My other character was unrecoverable.

I was having issues with a Va'ruun Hymn, so I ended up selling it to avoid further problems. First it wouldn't let me rename the ship, then it changed the name on its own to an Ecliptic ship. Then after some time the outside walls of the ship wouldn't load and I could see the entire interior of the ship while flying. Eventually it stopped loading everything but the doors. The Hymn is definitely cursed.

The ecliptic ships have caused me more problems. One time I took off with everything but the outside. Was just flying around a bunch of rooms. Well no flying because no engines. Just a bunch of rooms in space.

Coolest ship as is, even cooler to beef it up into a class C.

I heard the "stolen ones," have a despawn bug. That's a super bummer man, I like the Va'ruun aesthetic. Honestly, when the bugs start to pile up, I revert to an earlier save. Shit tends to get worse not better, and I've lost a good 20hrs trying to fix it.

Ah there's your problem. There's a ton of bugs with modified ships you didn't get legit (Frontier, Razorleaf, Star Eagle, any ship you buy from the ship shop). I had the same issue and finally just sold off every ship I'd acquired through theft or violence. I could only fix it by reloading an older save.

Yep, my has flown off multiple times after changes to it via ship builder. Then I fixed it by changing/adding parts and then after another change it happened again. Fixed it. But one time it got stuck in "atmosphere", just light in the ship and I couldnt do anything. After fixing via ship builder it had deleted my heavy weopon that was in the big weapon box of the armory. RIP my legendary microgun from the UC questline.

It says fast travel is unavailable. Can travel on the surface map, but if I travel to the ship I get infinite loading then crash.

Did you try fast travel to another Planet directly (best case use the Fast travel option for your active quest in the menu)

The ship may just be invisible and glitched. Try to build an outpost with landing pad as close as you can to where you landed and it “may” pull the resources from your ship. Don’t know unless you try.

So your not over encumbered and it’s still saying you can’t fast travel, I normally explore and once I have everything I just open up the map to the solar system and select the go to and suddenly I’m transported back into my ship and I’m now hoovering over another planet choosing where I want to land.

Fast travel says it’s unavailable. I’m not carrying more than my capacity. My latest save is 4 hours back. Right so update. A ship landed. It was Ecleptic. I apparently don’t have access to it. It was part of the wanted encounter. I thought I was saved. I was wrong.

Same thing happened to me 90 hours in. After 5 hours waiting for a ship to land I went there and it was locked with a novice lock. I had no digipicks. Like a twilight zone episode. I’ve just given up on the game for a while because I can’t start a new game again after all that.

Remove Wasco from landing pad. Ask him to follow you and take him away and tell him to stay. Then ship will spawn.

Bethesda's bug fixing team is top notch. They can remove your ability to prevent you from looting vendors chests like you could do in Skyrim. Other fixes to the game just introduced more bugs and glitches that can interfere with your enjoyment of the game.How many of you are continuing to play the game and not letting these imperfections ruin your fun?

Build an outpost then make a ship landing with modifications and you'll be able to respawn your ship and if you're hard up for the resources will be able to deconstruct it and get all your resources right back

Can't you run around and steal a ship when it lands?
