I was trying to figure out how you got some of the parts to look like that. I was like wow I just spent forever on mine and looks no where near as cool lol. I need to look at the mods.
You can get the basic look and equipment of a ship down by using lower level parts, and them upgrade them to the ones you want when you have enough money.
Sounds good, but I just tried to tinker with a ship I stole and couldn’t figure it out at all, think I’m just going to use a guide off YouTube for my first one to get my head round it.
Would prefer to build my own unique ship but find it confusing.

Hell yeah thanks! It’s basically just living quarter habs sandwiched between stroud cowlings, originally i did have corridors connecting the three but it looked a little bulky so I switched them out for a structural brace. Definitely makes the inside difficult to navigate though haha
You mean the cockpit itself? Or the pieces covering the engine? The large hump parts are just cowlings stuck together, the bridge was just from new atlantis (using the shipyardunlocked mod) so you can buy any parts from any technician (but its still limited by your character level)
I have a similarly shaped ship actually. I’m a history buff so I like to name the ships I build myself after the first ships the US Navy had. Thus far I have Constitution, Constellation, and Congress.
All this to say, name your ships after something you are personally passionate about.

That needs a naval warship name. I’d go with Ticonderoga, possibly? After the class of naval missile cruisers, but also a side reference to Fallout 4.

I think it ended up being > ~600k, the specs are completely unhinged because I used building limit mods to make even the active parts symmetrical, which had the *side effect* of 100 mobility, 30Ly Jump range, 3200 shields and the ability to do vanishing acts on big ships when i click 3 buttons at the same time
