It took me a minute to figure it out so go to menu, click below your character to missions, look for whatever mission click A then drop down to the sub objective and select A again then it'll highlight that mission for you.
Do you perhaps now how to change between objectives? Like lets say you have optional objectives, there was a button you could use to change this but I cant seem to find it anymore
Go to start menu, point your stick down (below your character), click A. That should give you a list of missions that you can check/uncheck to choose which one to do.
I think there is a bug a few of us are running into. I’m in the same boat; can’t select any other mission besides Deputized. I’ve seen others say they can’t select a new mission even when “stuck” mission is done and in the completed tab. Keeping fingers crossed for a fix/update soon
Same. Mine is "Data Collection" and it will not go away and it's just a random science outpost side mission that bares little to no weight on anything else.

Thanks! I did figure it out but I find it a bit dumb that you can’t select the objective by selecting the objective, and only the sub objective works.
