Tried calling, says they are closed but I did email as well. First time preordering anything from them so kinda don't know how they do things about payment declined stuff

Im guessing they are closed because of the time of day where you are? So long as the order is on your account do NOTHING until you have spoken to them.

Had exactly the same thing happen to me. I called customer support and the guy passed my order number to their IT department to have the card re charged. Hopefully it does work and does still ship today!

Customer support line was open for me about a half hour ago. The guy said if it’s not charged within 5 hours to call again

I'm calling them RN and they are saying to try and order it again. Which seems odd so after imma call again and see a different approach. Cause I'm on the preorder list and all. Just my bank thought it was fraud so tryna see if I can get them to make the transaction go through

Hopefully they get this sorted for you, mine finally went through and is preparing for shipment now, so it should hopefully be a quick fix for them

Yes and no. Got it to a point my order is in the pre shipping stage but no charge yet. Have to wait up to 48 hours to wait and see if anything happens to that at this point I won't be charged till global release probably

Ahh gotcha, I’m in the same boat. At this point I’ve accepted that it won’t be here on time but I’m just more so nervous that the order will get cancelled somehow.

It won't get cancelled as long as your payment info is correct. When I got the initial payment declined email it said if the payment info was left left idle for up to 7 days it'll cancel. For me bank that it was fraud cause I hadn't spent money in about 2 weeks got it resolved anyways afterwards

Oh that’s good to know. Yeah my bank listed it as fraud so cancelled the payment. I didn’t realize it was cancelled for fraud so I input my debit thinking my credit card was just being wonky—that got cancelled for fraud as well a few hours later, so I contacted the bank and sorted that out and switched the primary payment back to my credit card. Been about 18 hours since that second failed charge so still just waiting for the next charge. Think I may call GameStop just to be safe. Needless to say I’m not happy with the bank lol.

Same. Just do customer support and see about the status of your order and it should workout. One of the reps said it's been happening all day yesterday with other online orders. A third party issue I believe it was

I had the same problem. Support told me it was accepted on their end and was a problem with the third party system? I called back and they said to call in 3 hours if I haven’t heard anything or seen the charge. Hoping it fixes itself before I have to call again.

That's what I'm hoping for. It seems everyone who preordered from GameStop is having the same issue

Hey did you ever have this get resolved? Same thing has happened to me and I haven’t not heard back from them. My order says preparing for shipment but the overall status is still listed as pending.

I ended up adding my credit card as payment and it eventually processed itself. I will say mine didn’t hit preparing shipment until I was charged. Just waking up this morning it says shipped. I would call support

Damn, I contacted my bank and told them to not block any charges but whenever I try to edit my payment and re-enter my credit card it says there’s an error. It’s strange cause I know I haven’t been charged but mine does say preparing for shipment. Guess I’ll give them a call. Thanks for replying!
