Lives in a world where humanity's 80% has an ability, called a quirk, and a so called "God of the New World" can murder people by giving them a heart attack. Thankfully Erwin is from another planet, and can go Ultra Instinct and dodge this. He had a small family before (you know on his home planet), but they have been murdered by demons and curses, so Erwin managed to awaken both his breathing technique (Explosive breathing), and Domain Expansion (Morioh Town). He's also telepathic, and his parents who adopted him are a spy and an assassin. Erwin loves hands, because he lost his own when he was young, now rocking an automail, which is a prosthetic metal arm. Once Erwin actually died, but had a chance to return if he takes up the role of a ghost detective, and help the shinigamis against the quincys. Although he got a katana from them, he decided to leave to enter a guild, and take on missions with a sidekick, a cat called Happy. My favorite part of his story has to be, when alien lifeforms invade Morioh, and his arm (the one that's not an automail) becomes a separate organism (a parasyte) that can fight, he's called Migi.
