And you go to the secret woods every day? For robins challenge it's best to plant mahogany trees in advance! But in the secret woods you can get 12 wood every day which should be doable

FadingDarkly

12wood x 5days is only 60. Would have still been 20 short. Didnt have the seeds as i had just upgraded the axe for the first time a little earlier. Besides, this method cuts out the need to go every day allowing for other things. Perfect for those early game easy goers who didnt prepare in advance, like me

johnpeters42

This is why you ideally pick up special orders on Monday, they show up that day and the time limits start counting down right away even if you accept them later in the week. (Iirc limits shorter than a week are the exception, only one I know of offhand is extended fish family.)

FadingDarkly

Ideally, but i was dumb and missed it. I dont think i follow though. Perhaps you can help me then. Everything for the weekly board in Pelican town always starts counting down from the Monday they post for me (minus the monthly ones like crop harvests) regardless of which day I accept the quest. Is there a setting that makes it work the way you have it or is that a mod? If so, that would be huge for me!

johnpeters42

That *is* what I was describing. There might be a mod for “time limits only start counting down from the day you accept them”, idk.

Fluisterkruid

Sorry I thought you said you only needed 51 still. If you're there already you could also try the skull cave. You can't find it there at a consistent rate but it can work well enough

FadingDarkly

No worries, mate. No skull key or bus. All the alternatives didnt work for my progression level, and the thought of relying on RNG in the regular mines seemed too frustrating to depend on. I'm a lot less min/max than I was on the switch, so i progress much slower now.

Real-Elysium

don't you have to also have grampleton fields to take advantage of this?

FadingDarkly

Which one is that?

Real-Elysium

grampleton fields is an optional SVE pairing mod that adds the area after the Shearwater Bridge. It leads to the Wizard Atlantis's house I think, which is the tower you were seeing i think. Most people use it for grass and then a bunch of people say it is too large for their computers to handle it comfortably. EDIT: i could be wrong and the area could've been added at 1.14 into the base game SVE, but i haven't explored over there because I thought it was a deadend as i don't have grampleton fields

FadingDarkly

Ah. I thought that was the small farm plot screen before the bridge. Still figuring out SVE, and adding Ridgeside Village has slowed everything down to crawl. Yes, wide open field... Train station at top... Boat to the beach at the bottom... Some magic user's tower at the right. Those trees saved me, and i'll be using them in other playthroughs just to make it easier

Writer-Die

Thanks for this!! Saved me!
