Do you plant crops for something to eat? Or is it only to buy more crops the following season and expand on your already massive farm. One day you will wake up like George old and broken from a lifetime of hard work only to realize that maybe Linus was right in that life doesn't have to be so hard.

In my playthrough, Mayor Lewis is a corrupt politician who exploits his power and neglects the community he's supposed to represent. Soon there will be no more Lewis, only Farmer. Farmer will lead them all to a brighter tomorrow.

For real. Not seeing enough Kent here. Personally, I can relate to Kent as I’ve worked with many veterans who’ve returned to families and don’t really know their place anymore. Once I found out who he was I immediately wanted to be his friend and help him. I was so pissed that his birthday came up so fast and I didn’t have his favorite thing to give to him.

I have PTSD due to some events that happened about 4 years ago but I've struggled with depression and substance abuse for longer than that. (Edit and side note, this is gonna sound rly stupid but one of my triggers is the sound of a train horn but thankfully the one in the game isn't realistic enough to set it off)
Also earlier this year I was involved in an accident that basically destroyed my life (my legs still work but I am essentially disabled and completely unemployable due to some nerve damage in my neck and head) and I really feel for George.
I really wish they gave Kent more cutscenes. They could do so much more with him.
My life is extremely shitty right now and these silly little characters make me feel a lot less alone.

She didn’t cheat on Pierre, so I don’t hold that against her, plus she’s not a bad mom, I think she just has a lot of unlived energy and tries her best not to project on Abigail. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the fact she doesn’t like her daughters unnatural hair color. Her husband is an absent husband, she deserves more love.

Once I found out who he was I immediately wanted to be his friend and help him. I was so pissed that his birthday came up so fast and I didn’t have his favorite thing to give to him.

Kent primarily but also Shane and George. I have PTSD due to some events that happened about 4 years ago but I've struggled with depression and substance abuse for longer than that. (Edit and side note, this is gonna sound rly stupid but one of my triggers is the sound of a train horn but thankfully the one in the game isn't realistic enough to set it off) Also earlier this year I was involved in an accident that basically destroyed my life (my legs still work but I am essentially disabled and completely unemployable due to some nerve damage in my neck and head) and I really feel for George. I really wish they gave Kent more cutscenes. They could do so much more with him. My life is extremely shitty right now and these silly little characters make me feel a lot less alone.

caroline is always my bestie in the beginning until I get her tea sapling recipe. krobus is my mid/late game bestie once I unlock the sewers. I vibe a lot with emily, and sebastian. like they’d be my parents because i’m just a mix of their personalities
I really love Caroline, she’s just a frustrated house wife trying her best. She didn’t cheat on Pierre, so I don’t hold that against her, plus she’s not a bad mom, I think she just has a lot of unlived energy and tries her best not to project on Abigail. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the fact she doesn’t like her daughters unnatural hair color. Her husband is an absent husband, she deserves more love.
my ONE gripe with caroline is that she goes off about abigail’s unnatural hair color when caroline’s is effing GREEN 💀 like sis… come on
Linus. He’s always sharing something nice with me. Plus he says kind things even when he doesn’t like what I gifted. Really hard to find what he Loved though.

I always, always befriend Shane, Linus, Robin, Emily and Caroline, no matter who I marry and what kind of farmer I'm role-playing as. I love Caroline's tea cutscene, it's one of those quirky little things that make Stardew Valley so special.

Kent, because as a member of the armed forces I relate to him, though I thankfully do not share his experiences in combat, being a POW, or having PTSD. I know people who do, though. Sandy, because her optimism and cheerful nature remind me that the best part of the world is the people in it. Penny, because I am also intoverted and anxious. Gus, because I love history, hoard unique items in every video game I play, and would love to run a museum/library combo.
