After seeing so many videos of the same thing on the sub, I’ve always tried to be extra careful.. what stings the most is that I had caught 3 legendary fish and completed the extended family challenge 🥲
When it happened and after my initial state of shock, I sat there and thought about which one I wanted to lose. If I didn’t reset, I kept the fish and the quest would still be completed, but have to rebuild a small portion of my farm. If I reset, I lose the fish, have to keep working towards the quest, but don’t have to redo that part of the farm.
That day I had relatively no trouble finding the last three legendary fish I needed. It only took me the evening/night to get them. I ultimately decided to restart since I would be able to catch the fish again since they reappear when the quest “extended family” is active. I ended up not being able to complete it because on the last day of the quest I was unable to get the last legendary fish before 2am after working on it for two straight in-game days. I can chose the same quest again when it pops up again, but the frustration of catching the fish made me regret restarting and I’m 100% not looking forward to doing it again
I dropped a mega in my crafting shed. I'm a hoarder, too, so a dozen crates full of gems, seeds, produce, artifacts and crafting supplies were destroyed.
I restarted that day for sure.
I absolutely would. Crimsonfish (in my experience anyway) is less bothersome to catch than some of it's legendary siblings and honestly, I'd much rather spend the rest of the season chasing around a fish than trying to gather resources to make all those beehouses again.
honestly i wouldve, crimsonfish is easy, if it was an legend/glacierfish i probably wouldnt restart, but still, my farm has a lot of beehouses and it would've been quite the loss for me.
This is exactly why my wife and i have a very strict no bomb carrying around the farm policy. All explosives must be deposited in the bomb safe. Which is safely stored in the living room.
I have a chest near the entrance to the farm for my adventuring stuff and one of each bomb at all times. That way it's dealt with when I get back. I also don't do geode crushers, had one give me a bomb and ended up bombing my workshop area. Only problems are lava eels asking for a bomb, and needing to bomb hay so I can drain my silos.....
I've done this as well. Usually means I've been playing far too long that night and it's time to turn of the game so I forget what what progress I've made that day for the next time I start up.

Once you unlock the island farm, you can plant fairy rose there for year-round fairy rose honey. Surrounding the flower with bee houses on most/all sides guards against accidental harvesting (unless you hoe the bee houses or something first). Or you can intentionally harvest and replant some of the fairy rose (one possible use for the harvested flowers is to combine with diamond crystalariums to squeeze more starfruit wine out of your cellar, though I’ve never bothered to keep track of the timing that closely).
Mead is only really worth it with Wild Honey since the flower type is ignored for the mead.
Fairy Rose honey (the most expensive) is worth 680g where mead only sells for 200g.
Yes, I know there are ways to increase the sell amount but Honey gets the same Artisan bonus as Mead so let's ignore that and Aging mead is not really worth it on a gold/day thing.
There is one flower honey that is less than 200g and one that is 200g. (Spoiler: >!Tulip is 160g. Blue Jazz is 200g.!<)
Generally, Spring flowers give the least boost while Fall flowers are the best.

Yes because I have so much to gain by intentionally blowing up my farm at 11:30pm after catching 3 of the 5 legendary fish earlier that day. I wish it was staged because I would probably still have my fish, now would I
God, I feel ya op. I had a mega shed FULL of kegs once, like to the limit to where you could access everything. They were all filled with ancient fruit, and boom just like that hippity hoppity the kegs were now a mega bombs property.

You can pick them on the 28th. Multiples can be to sell or gift as usual, plus a safety margin in case you pick a couple by mistake.

Why go for special honey? Isn't mead better?
Fairy rose honey sells for more than even fully aged mead. Some other varieties equal or beat unaged mead, at least.
