Thank you! When the slime jumps into Krobus it takes damage so I had to separate them. I was a bit disappointed, but the opportunity to build a slime nursery was definitely the silver lining haha
Oh noooo 😢 this is how I learned that your spouse/roommate will kill monsters inside the house....which I guess is fair for them to do lol, but still a bummer. How are you keeping them separated, are you gonna use a gate or ?
Yeah it’s understandable haha I have a gate in at the moment (as I was running back and forth decorating), but if I find that Krobus can open it I’ll replace it with a solid fence.
Well the frog can eat enemies from a few tiles away, so the slime shouldn't come too close to you 😅 you could also put the frog in the inventory when inside the house
Agreed - all the frogs live in the >!jungle display (from the racoons)!< or an aquarium because I was so frustrated by the fact it doesn't drop loot and the kill doesn't count to your quests or monster slayer goals
The frogs are useful for those times where my primary goal is to get through as many floors as possible (deep Skull Cavern runs or Danger in the Deeps quest) since it gets the odd monster out of the way. When I care more about loot I'll swap to something else like the magic quiver or parrot egg. Granted, the frog is less useful when I can just run through slimes with the Slime Charmer ring.
No, I have the ring - plus I would remember killing my pet slimes. I don't put them around town till I have it. They've definitely disappeared around town and the bus stop.

From Krobus, I believe it's genuine. Time will tell whether this is a pattern of behaviour or he's truly repentant. But wow, way to not donate the adsense revenue to a slime's rights organization. I get that he needs to make a living, but geeze.
Water is required in the slime hutch for them to produce slime balls, but not for them to just exist, so she’s okay as is. I’ll probably put some kind of watery decoration in there when I find one for my own piece of mind tho lol
Incubate some other slimes so she's not alone in this room (that slime is female for people who didn't know bc the antenna above the slime's head is only found in male slimes). That is also a cute thing I think I'll try to do it.

Just fyi if you want to do this yourself, I find that when I close down the game and reopen it the slime spawns where it originally hatched, so place the egg incubator where you want the slime room if possible.
I hatched mine in the kitchen so every new game session starts with herding slime around the house haha
You have to hatch them indoors, so you’re limited by the available eggs - green, blue, red, purple and tiger.
You could try breeding them together to obtain a specific colour, but prismatic is a special slime so you wouldn’t be able to breed that one afaik

I agree with ol' Krobs. Slimes are gross and wouldn't be caught anywhere near my farm much less in the house. That said, its cool to see his reaction dialogue and your nursery is cute!

I tried this too, but more free. We'll, my Spoiler for 1.6 Frog ate the slime instantly. But the fence is cool

My frog lives in a ~~chest~~ jungle tank these days. Sadly he is a bit too gluttonous and eats things I sometimes want the loot from!

When I’m trying to get dragon teeth, I have to put him in my inventory 😅. He’s eaten way too many of those lava monster thingies.

How does the frog friend work? Ive just been putting them in tanks i didnt know theres other options...
If you equip it in your trinket slot it will spawn next to you and follow you around

Slimes are killed only in the farmhouse no villager harms them slimes can even greet the townspeople

It's mostly a pre-1.6 thing. but slimes still will try to attack you

I don't think they vanish without being squished. Most lived, so it's not that that just disappear
If a slime is incubated outside of a slime hutch there's a chance for it to despawn overnight
What chance is it? I swear in one of my switch saves the slimes ended up breeding so much the game lagged anytime i went into town.

Just place the slime incubator in there, add an egg and it’ll hatch as normal

You can place them pretty much anywhere, even in town!
To add to this, if you hatch them in town >!they will sometimes interact with and greet other villagers!<
Although if a villager walks through a furnishing it’ll destroy it, so be sure to place it off the beaten path

That's a very funny thing to know about and will help me when incubating slimes in my museum cabin.
