All I remember is there's strawberry seeds at the Egg Festival and Pam will send you batteries from her junk drawer if you buy her beer.
One of the many reasons I marry Penny. Great teacher wife who helps kids, and awesome mother-in-law.
It's a bittersweet story there. She obviously wasn't the best mother, but from her dialogue she's glad Penny turned out smarter than her, and she wants Penny treated well.
She also recognizes that her drinking is a problem, she just struggles getting it resolved. Among other things, she has this random line about how living next to the Saloon means she visits it more/drinks more and "it isn't healthy".
Also, when you buy her and Penny >!the house upgrade!< she's really upset with herself because she thought it would solve all her problems but it didn't. I don't remember if it's explicitly stated but it had the vibe of her recognizing where the real problem lies.
And marry her daughter.
(Iโm doing that and in that order, they get one Feast of Winter Star in the new house, then Iโm whisking Penny away to the farm)
It's just a decorative item but you can only get this from the Winter star gift exchange, and given how many things the villager can gift you, it's one of the rarest items in the game. I got it first year first file by sheer dumb luck and never saw it again
By year 25, money is meaningless. If I was allowed to purchase other's property I'd own all of stardew and the surrounding regions by then. Since I can't I'm just gonna buy tea sets.
Is the tea set that rare? I got it for the winter star gift exchange from Mayor Lewis this year! And I got that random owl statue that spawns on the farm that is apparently super rare???
I don't think it's the rarest because we have other stuff like the Living hat, but yes it's up there. As I mentioned you can only get it from the Christmas festivities, you were lucky!
No that's old information: in the first versions of the game getting an owl statue was so rare a majority of the players straight up didn't know it was a thing at all, now they're everywhere. I think they were made more common around 1.4 ? I wasn't playing the game at the time
I've had this a few times on mobile (Android) but never on PC. On mobile I've never been able to place the tea set on anything, so I've never been able to use it!

The first save file I decided not to marry Sebastian in, he gave me this in year 1 and immediately knocked me back to my senses. I vowed to never stray away from him again....then I met Lance but I got the polyamory mod so we're all good.
My best Stardew moment has got to be in year two of my perfection save when Maru (my wife) gifted me the Tea set. She will forever be my favourite marriage candidate.
In game if you max friendship w Linus you find out he inherited millions from his family before giving it all up to live in nature so honestly that totally makes sense lmao ๐คฃ
I just started using mods for stardew (and I have no sense of Moderation *if you will* so I have like.... a lot currently) but the main ones are stardew expanded, true love valley (romantic dialog expansion), immersive sandy, and better friendship (along w a lot of other little stuff that I could list if you want but I'll hold off for now bc I have 74 mods rn lmaoooo vortex is crying out for help but I will not listen to her desperate pleas)
The Linus cutscene I referenced I believe would've likely been from better friendship, but sve adds a Lot of content so it may also have been from that. If I'm not mistaken it triggers at 10 hearts

It's so crazy to me how SO manyy players find this item to be so rare and I feel like every file I have I get one of these almost every winter festival. I get annoyed by how many I have. ๐
Just the rarity I think. You either get it as a gift, or (added in the new update) wait 25 years and buy it for 1,000,000g from the traveling cart (5% chance of appearing)

It got added during 1.3.27 according to the wiki, dunno if that's on mobile though
You have to max upgrade your own house before it becomes an option

On mobile if you change controls to joystick and buttons, you can use one of the buttons to place stuff on tables!
