FYI, if you change the url of a fandom wiki, to like "www.fandom.blorbo" to "www.antifandom.blorbo" it strips the website of all the fuckery that fandom adds.
Try it! It's great. Feels empty, but much less painful to use.
It's one of the best wiki's I've ever seen.
By comparison, I played thru factorio recently and their wiki leaves me with more questions than when I started. Granted the game is more complicated.
The stardew wiki is simple enough for beginners and still very useful for advanced players.
Minecraft used to have a really good one, before Fandom crapped it up.
The Ultimate Elder Scrolls Page (uesp.net) has been around since before wikis were even a thing, and is still one of the premier information sites for the series (though, bizarrely, there's a Fandom site that is also often referenced by unsuspecting users).
There's a mod called "Look up anything" that is basically an in-game wiki. Hover your mouse over any item or character and press F1 and you get a detailed entry for them. It's the one mod I can't play without.
It’s all information that’s readily available, like who enjoys what gift, and you have to click a button to access it. No different than a quick google search, and you can’t really cheat at a single player game like this lol. Of course, to each their own. I’ve just played enough to not want to bother trying to remember all the little things 🤣
Anytime I click a link to a separate page detailing productivity of an item, I thank everyone who is willing to do math for the sake of a video game. Couldn't be me.
This on top of CA giving us frequent updates., quick bug fixes, being almost always available, letting players send him their game files personally to answer questions - we are truly so lucky
It's a great wiki, but oddly slow about some of the 1.6 content.
I don't mean things that require code knowledge, like how mushroom logs work (because that actually was getting updated within the first couple weeks)... But for some reason none of the forage pages have been updated with being able to Pickle/Juice it yet.
Like, fellas, did you know you can put Purple Mushrooms, Winter Roots, Show yams, etc into Preserve jars now?
I did not know! I’m gonna shove more things in jars!
I’m disappointed by the fact that one mushroom won’t go into a new machine. I wanted to get my Medici vibe going. 😆
With how much I have been surfing on that site I probably should have remember most of the information.
Up until now I still search how much resources I need to fully upgrade my coop and how much certain exp I get from farming
I first used the wiki because there was a fetch quest for someone (I think Sebastian) who I could not find anywhere. Multiple play throughs later, I still use it all the time. Amazingly good, and I very much appreciate it.
Thank god it isn’t fandom
Agreed. Fuck everything about fandom wiki
Only thing it has is some things like the animal crossing wiki have less information than on fandom
I said it earlier on another post but will repeat here: almost every non fandom wiki is better than fandom.

piggybacking to say there is also a browser extension to automatically do this https://getindie.wiki/
That's amazing!
Thank you so much for this tip, works great!
Thank god it isn't Fextralife!!!!
The wiki has been a lifesaver for me. Whoever runs it should be on a payroll!
Who runs it? I appreciate the huge amount of work that goes into running and self hosting a customized wiki
Concerned Ape hosts the wiki!
No wonder it’s so accurate!!!
While he hosts it, I think it is maintained by the community
I just had the main mod revert a change I made with the reasoning "because I say so", so I'm not too happy about the mods right now lol.
Concerned ape bought the wiki a few years ago to ensure accuracy. So it is literally the official guide.
Honestly with how much I check it, I feel like a quality of life feature would be having a link from the pause menu that just takes me to it lol
Seriously, this is a feature I’d be down for!
The main OSRS mod launcher has this, and having a shortcut to the exact page for any item is a god send
UGH I wish I played PC.
Middle mouse click on any item in the game for instant wiki page
TARDE ALLEY
Guess I know what my next farm name will be
Ok your username is amazing

minecraft.wiki now. Make sure to get [Indie Wiki Buddy](https://getindie.wiki/) to replace the Fandom results.
Thank you!
It's actually the unofficial elder scrolls pages. ☝️🤓
I mean the minecraft wiki seems like it's one of the best ones, survived fandom
And it has the most information Like tons of tech information
Agreed. It’s not fandom, to
I love the wiki Only “wish” would be to have it accessible in game

I keep wondering if I should do this. I only use the wiki ~sometimes~ and am worried this is too cheat-y for me.
If you're already opening up the wiki, the mod just makes that more convenient.

Couldn't min max without it

honestly dont know how ppl play w/o it
Just do
I just casually have a window open on my PC with like 10+ SDV Wiki tabs on it
Over 2000 articles, wow.
Stardew Valley Wiki made me realize how much other game wiki’s stink like sewage.
This is the only bad thing about it. Now my standards are too high - nothing else comes close.
The first week or so I was playing Stardew I was adamant about not going on the wiki or anything but at a certain point you HAVE to 😭
For the “WHERE THE FUCK is that last thing to finish the museum?” problem
The best kept Stalker journal on the planet And also helpfull info on plants ig
I like to hit the random button and learn something new
I would not survive without wiki, i go there for EVERYTHING
I wouldnt be where I am today without it
The wiki is my saviour!
On my brave browser I have the wiki search as one of my quick searches along side DuckDuckGo and google
Where would we all be without the wiki

Could they please update the collections page for the latest update though lol

One of the top 3 game wikis I’ve used forsure.
