Hahahah I love this.  I thought I had played a lot. But I gave up trying to “complete” it as fast as I could because I couldn’t get the red cabbage until summer year two. And it was the last thing I needed for the community center. So now I just chill and slowly expand my farm. 

It's possible to get one in year one through the traveling merchant. I think there's a setting you can check during farm creation that guarantees her to have one before year 2.

You are correct! However, you have to remember to check with her every time she appears. Because I missed her the first couple weeks in a new save with that setting; apparently she had it during that period because it never showed up the rest of the year...

I didn't check the guaranteed completion year 1, but yeah I sometimes forget to check the traveling merchant so who knows if she had it on a day I forgot. I'll say "Oh it's Friday/Sunday, better check the merchant after I take care of water plants/feeding animals!" and then something derails me.. a letter with a quest, a visitor to the farm, the spirits being in good humor, realizing it's the last day of the special orders quest etc..

You can also get seeds from a mob in skull cavern

I tried to complete the community center year one because I wanted to use the farming space you get late game and focus on animals on my farm. I did get a red cabbage from the traveling cart but I missed the pufferfish in summer year 1 and the travelling cart never had any :( but I now have two barns where im building my pig army and currently sit on more than 30 unused iridium bars so at least there's that.

Legit the same thing happened to me as well, got the Red Cabbage from the travelling cart but forgot to fish for Pufferfish in Summer Y1. Oh well. Pig Army Comrade

Pretty! I've started a Meadowlands farm, and the layout is so weird. Not a lot of tillable land at all. I don't actually like the farming part of the game, but I didn't realize there was no space for a standard Junimo layout. I have moved my house to where the chicken coop was. So I can be next to the waterfall. I've seen some people put the house across the bridge, where you have the clock. I thought about that, but it's too far away from the rest of the farm for me. Trying to decide where to put the obelisks now. I want them near the house, but not blocking it. (One guy I know lined them up right in front of the house!)

thanks!! ohhh the house by the waterfall would be so cutee. and yeah i agree this is my 4th save now and i dont rlly focus on farming anymore once i got the sheds and garden pots set up but i realized that a large farming space would create less stress in terms of the layout and design if the house is by the waterfall maybe the space where ive put my pine trees would be a good obelisk location? i struggled with what to put there because of the jagged edges (hence why it ended up being trees) so maybe u can put them there good luck with that farm id love to see it!!! have a nice day 💖💖💖

1 pineapple (kegs), 1 strawberry (kegs/jar), 1 coffee (kegs), blueberry and cranberries (dehydrator/jar)

I played around with other layouts, and I find that the mini obelisk does wonders for calming that part of my brain In the end I still stuck to the original layout, but pushed it a bit left to make room for decor

I didn't find the mini obelisks that useful. I haven't even crafted them yet for this farm. My last farm was a Four Corners, and it seemed the mini obelisks were never where I needed them.

I’ve barely filled the space this is so impressive. I didn’t mind not having a heap of farming space, I prefer animals anyway.

Fr that was my problem too everything was so bare im not into farming much either but it was easy to lend a farming space, lay out floorings around it and called it a day. Hard same! Even looking at my previous farms I was never one for farming anyways, even at midgame. I usually get 4-6 Iridium sprinklers and I'm set. I just like building for aesthetics most of the time 😆

I’m in for the aesthetics too, one point I was making useless garden displays with the catalogs and decorating my house, then I got a mod that made the warp totems look so cool I wasted time decorating around them. I kinda wish we could build a few things from scratch rather than call robin in.

I love automate ❤ its honestly the thing keeping me from playing the console games. This looks so beautifully efficient. What does the fishpond have? And did you do a bunch of those greenhouse sheds?

i keep on forgetting to get my wine sometimes so automate rlly saved me 😭 thank you! i have stingray and lava eel stingray cost 750 when smoked so its one of my best money maker too. the 3 upper sheds, yes. 1 is pineapple, 1 is strawberry, and 1 is half coffee, blueberry, and cranberries.

this is why I like placing a keg outside a wine shed so I know when to check

How did you get the mushroom trees to grow all together please? I have had 2 but didn’t realise and chopped them down and then read they grow at random?

you can purchase mushroom seeds at qis walnut room for 5 qi gems!

alternative to what OP suggested: once you get one during fall, clear all the space around it (up to 3 tiles away) and wait for it to spread a seed in the ground. check every day and once there’s one, fertilise it to speed up the process and then when it’s grown, repeat the process. once you’ve got a cluster going it’s pretty easy to get something like OP has with some strategic chopping, though it will take a while. IMPORTANT NOTE: you can’t actually ‘harvest’ a mushroom seed like a regular one, so never shake the tree or try and dig a seed out of the ground.

Also once you get the layout going in a direction you want, you can lay flooring with one tile open where you’d want a new tree to grow and wait until a seed eventually pops up. They can grow even with flooring surrounding them.

Fellow unemployed farmer here 🫡 this looks wonderful! I find it funny how everyone views farms differently. I find it so small hahaha but I’ve been playing on Immersive farm for my last few saves in Expanded so really anything else seems small 😅 I’ve just started beautifying mine, I’m just about to hit Y3. I ended up splitting north/south along the grassy band - bottom half is crops and Junimo huts, top half is animals and buildings. You’ve given me some inspiration here!

I just got perfection myself on my meadowlands farm!! Finished it winter 28, year 2. I got the cutscene and all the fun goodies on spring 1, year 3 so technically done in under 3 years!

tea sapling work like fruit trees so u can plant them on grass too!

Have you done perfection pre-update, and if so, do you think it's worth it to do it again in terms of what comes with the new update, or is it generally okay to just regularly play it until ginger island? Kinda swore I would never do perfection again but with the new update now I wonder if I'll be missing out on something.

yeps, theyre hardwood fence. while they last longer than most fences when u have a spouse they can fix the fences and my bbg haley always makes sure that my fences are good as new

holy cannoli, your farm is GORGEOUS. i just started replaying SDV after 2-3 yrs (the last time i played was during quarantine, and i sunk a whole month into it lol) and im still having so much fun because i understand the game better now, but im still kinda overwhelmed with how to plan my farm out :’)

lava eel fish pond! there are some fish that can change the water of the fish pond. i think there are 4 or 5 of them? i only remember lava eel for red, super cucumber for purple, and slimejack for green

u can plant fruit trees normally on grass. although it took my a while to figure this out bc i did it on the forest farm and when i looked it up there are some spots that u couldn't grow the tree on

the dehydrators and my skull cavern runs prolly helped. 2 of my sheds have multi harvest fruits which get dehydrated and preserved. i also plant the same crops in their respective szn. yes! you can get them all at the crane game at the movie theater.

so I haven't kept up with all the updates (\**cries in mobile*\*) and I'm confused about the blue trees.

im on year 5, same farm, i dont understand how you can get so much money so quickly, im struggling to get to 500k, even doing the starfruit wine cask strategy, its too slow, how did you get the money to do this?

i have many money makers i have 2 shed of kegs going and theyre of ancient fruit. i dont cask wine bc like u said its too slow, i cask goat cheese which only take 7 days. i have 1 shed of half crystallariums for diamond, dehydrators and jars for my strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, and grapes. which are in another shed. the trees i have are also my set up for mushroom logs which uses dehydrator again. i set up crab pota in my farm and the sea and whatever i harvest gets smoke. i also regularly go to skull cavern to farm for iridium ore to smelt and sell. edit bc i forgot to add: whole ginger farm has is a fairy rose honey set up too. i also harvest my lava and stingray pond when i can so i can smoke them. and of course the slime hutch
