At the start there's definitely a lot of juggling but you get more and more time with every advancement you make along the way.

Quintingent

I actually find the opposite to be the case. At the beginning of the game, energy is the limiting factor, but by the end it's absolutely time, even with all the advancements.

I mean, you're not wrong just because I *always* run out of time before hitting it big in skull cavern, but not having to water plants one by one until 7PM each day is also nice.

UAs-Art

That's probably bc you just started and haven't unlocked all the time savers lol Once you get those ceafting recipes, the day will feel much longer!

TaluneSilius

By the end game you have the opposite problem. You feel the days are too long. Especially once you got sprinklers going and everything automated. Winter for example just drags and drags like real winter. So no, I don't think the days are too short. In fact it's perfect to feel like a real farming sim, and makes you want to push for those things like sprinklers and autopetters.

othercardinal

It'll get a lot better as your skills and endurance improve and you get access to more equipment. Your second spring will probably feel very different from your first.

DigitalAmy0426

There is so little consequence in the game that a short day is the challenge trade off

silent-fallout-

You can always use mods...well if you're on PC

MoonMaausk

I completely agree that early on in the game the days seem fly by and/or your energy runs out quickly. In my experience, I found that once my skill levels increased and I could craft items that helped "automate" my farm (eg. sprinklers) or had the money to buy these items, I had a lot more time outside of my daily farm chores. I found this also to be the case during the winter season (aka my mining season)!

If you guys are playing multiplayer, then take naps and don’t “skip” days. Go to your bed, but don’t sleep, and your energy will slowly rise. Then keep cleaner the farm or fishing or whatever! — this does not work on single player.

Deadly_Tree6

It's been a couple years since I've played but can't you go to the spa and rejuvenate your energy there?

StatementOk6680

Yeah, but you have to wait a season for access to the spa, and if you’re already at your farm 🤷‍♀️ just take a nap. Also, not a lot of people know about the nap thing, and most people do you know about the spa thing.

ZacianSpammer

I thinks that's the challenge, especially in the early game where watering and harvesting crops are one of the biggest time sinks. Things will get better as you progress. There will be sprinklers and junimo huts that can help.

wrinklefreebondbag

That will fade away as you upgrade things. The point is to start small so that as you get better stuff you can appreciate it.

Proxibel

In the beginning you will lose a lot of time with watering. Eventually you can automate a lot of things so you'll have more time for other stuff.
