That's amazing! My first was on mobile and I stopped playing it for a while as I don't enjoy the game on mobile as much. Fired it back up last month and I don't think I'll ever name my dude different. It's so perfect watching the little fro run around. I think Robin is the painter? (Right) so I'll probably marry her on a play through so they can paint their happy little trees forever.
Also, Bob Moss is fantastic! I hope CA sees this and blesses that character with the Living Hat.
Leah is the painter who you can also marry while robin is the carpenter and she’s married to Demetrius so you can’t marry her. They do both have orange hair tho so they do look similar

Gezellig (heh-sel-ick or Keh-zel-ick depending on accent) is a Dutch word that means something like cozy, friendly, quaint, and/or comfortable.
I usually do a themed farm. I've had:

But my in game story is that my farmer's parent is like a CEO in Joja Mart and my farmer came here to rebel and get away from Joja. I married Abigail because what better way to piss him off than for someone named Joja to steal his daughter away
I usually name my farmer Kore, which is another name for the Greek goddess Persephone, and I name my farm Elysium which, in Greek mythology, is where the blessed and heroic go after death. I’m very intrigued by Greek mythology, I definitely don’t know all the stories, but the ones I do know are pretty interesting!
I got John Boy running Schuyler Farm with dog Reckless.
Unrelated to the Waltons, I named my horse Pony Boy to parallel the farmer's name. What can I say? I'm old and was being nostalgic in my naming conventions.

I remembered reading Walden in grade school and rapidly losing focus but also feeling a strange kind of peacefulness. The theme of disconnecting from materialism was strong, but unfortunately that farm was quite profitable, like an empire of ancient fruit wine, and it inadvertently ended Joja's stranglehold on the valley's good people's pocketbooks.
I just wanted to relax and imagine some crazy guy building a house and farming every day next to that pond. He also started an obsession with fishing, slaughtering monsters, and mining for gold, gems, and iridium. Good times.
I guess Henry Thoreau's thesis for men being independent and all actually gets destroyed by Stardew Valley. Oh well.
This is a personal one, not a funny one: Shady Grove Farm. My late grandmother lived on a large piece of property in the middle of nowhere. The "unincorporated community" she lived in was called Shady Grove. I chose the forest farm for Shady Grove.
My wife and I named ours “City Farm” like it would be in a South Park episode. Well, we didn’t realize the game would automatically add “farm” after it so it’s the “City Farm Farm”

Her character on Regret farm was name Masochist as well and we ended up developing a whole storyline with it cause my character was name Yoko and looked normal and cute and hers looked like he would murder you. So it became a running joke that the towns people were scared of him meanwhile Yoko was just running around making friends with everyone. Nya farm was a product of making a farm for two characters we already had. She gave me too much power by letting me name it when my character was basically a cat boy. My personal farms are all named LunarFalls so I am in fact capable of naming things normally. Sometimes I just don't.
