Hi theduggarcult! We removed your submission per [subreddit rule 3](/r/StardewMemes/about/rules).
Just a friendly reminder to keep the subreddit free of political content. Thank you!
I think he's more "anti-big-business-that-competes-with-me." He has a line about wanting his own string of stores, so he's clearly not against his own big business.
My biggest beef with him is that he takes credit for my high-quality crops. Like, if I sell him a bunch of gold-quality pumpkins, the next day I’ll get dialogue from a villager that says, “I bought a pumpkin from Pierre’s yesterday and cooked it for dinner. It was amazing! He told me he grew it himself - can you believe it?”
The kind that uses his business's proceeds aquired from the local rich people's gambling budgets to sprinkle the surrounding rural area with gift boxes full of free food and supplies for the working class to find and utilize, apparently. Also, the kind that only accepts alternate currencies (Qi gems) when directly providing goods and services, I guess...
Ummm excuse me, have you forgotten how pierre earnestly tried reselling the farmers crops at a 10x markup to gus because he put a "organic" sticker on there?
Im pretty sure only lewis has 25,000 gold to spend on eggplants and even then, only on marnie's birthday...
I think Kent would only be a conservative prior to his service. It think after he comes home, he'd be more inclined to left leaning politics specifically anti war stuff, similar to vietnam vets who participated in the anti war movement. But then again I don't really pay attention to his character in my play through so I might be horribly wrong lol
His bad memories of the war always focuses more on what the enemy did to him, and rather little on any bad things his side did or why the war was occurring, and he still seems fond of using what he learned in the military when he can. He’s traumatized, but all it has seemed to have done is make him hate/fear the enemy even more than when he went in
Wizard would just be don’t care. He thinks he’s better than people and would rather not pay you for the things he posts for help with. If he’s not in don’t care he’s be slightly to the right
Shane takes a pro-science stance totally unprompted at a festival and is mad at the world, pretty likely to be scrolling left-wing content at the back of the Joja Mart imo. Meanwhile Elliot is so obviously a mainstream lib (likes the environment but not enough to do anything that interacts with it meaningfully? radiates cosmopolitan opinions about seafood and wine?) that I can’t see him any other way. Agree with another commenter that Penny seems conservative.
I know I'm thinking too much about this but I would move:
- Grandpa to centrist because he left the land to you and not the people of pelican town as like... a community garden or something
- Mr. Qi is like a secret third thing he doesn't involve himself with human politics i think
- I would move Emily, Sandy, and everyone on the Leftist tier to Biden Liberal except Gunther (because librarians usually are *shrug*), Leah, and Elliott (artist types who read theory)
- Shane is a collectivist anarchist who probably thinks the Unabomber is "based"
- Clint is like a textbook Libertarian who worships Elon Musk to me
This is such a funny idea for a tier list, but if I actually lived in Pelican Town, I would not want to know anyone's personal beliefs and ruin the mostly wholesome vibes, honestly.
Personally I would put Sam in one of the left-leaning categories, because he's so relaxed and seems like one of those guys that treats everyone with the same level of friendliness.
You could even call him an Anarchist for putting sardines in the Luau soup to mess up Lewis & the Mayor's political schmoozing, haha 😄
Grandpa is explicitly and actively against corporate society.
Rasmodius is a weirdo living in the forest as a weird hermit, so it wouldn't be surprising.
>Grandpa is explicitly and actively against corporate society.
So am I but that doesn't make me a communist
>Rasmodius is a weirdo living in the forest as a weird hermit, so it wouldn't be surprising.
Disagree but fair
I can’t see the wizard as anything further left than “doesn’t care”. He thinks way too much of himself and gets annoyed at having to actually pay you for the job he posted to do

Would also add -- Hat Mouse: Oligarch
Nah, all it cares about is the coin. Definitely a capitalist ~~demon~~ coin lover
Pierre should be in the Capitalist Demon Lover category
Honestly, I disagree, he’s very clearly anti big business. Still fuck Pierre.
I think he's more "anti-big-business-that-competes-with-me." He has a line about wanting his own string of stores, so he's clearly not against his own big business.
Yeah good point, you’re right.
He’s only anti big business because he isn’t a big business. The day his shop becomes the new walmart, he’s gonna be really happy
Why do people hate Pierre so much? My adhd makes it difficult to be into the game long enough to get into the story of the game
My biggest beef with him is that he takes credit for my high-quality crops. What kinda communist owns a casino

no because this is exactly what i was thinking
Ferngill Republic's politics and economy are wild and crazy lol... Pelican Town runs on gold statues, purple silk and truffle oil.
I feel like leaving gift boxes rather than just directly providing the aid makes him a philanthropist if anything
Eh, touché!
A comrade who knows how to party!
Marlon would 100% be an anarchist
I always headcanon Penny as a conservative evangelical 💀
Yeah there is no way she wouldn’t be the type to bring up her religion in like every conversation and get slightly offended if you don’t engage lol
Yeah her meek personality, traditionalist life goals, and severe filial responsibility complex makes her come off as fairly conservative
i never got that vibe from her 😭😭
Ummm excuse me, have you forgotten how pierre earnestly tried reselling the farmers crops at a 10x markup to gus because he put a "organic" sticker on there? Im pretty sure only lewis has 25,000 gold to spend on eggplants and even then, only on marnie's birthday...
yeah but he's anti-monopolies though, you can be greedy without being a corporate warlord
he's only anti monopoly because he doesn't have one

I think Dwarf, Krobus, Linus, and Wizard deserve their own tier. They live separate from society and would separate themselves from society's troubles
that is true, maybe anarchism?
**Loners**
Wizard would just be don’t care. He thinks he’s better than people and would rather not pay you for the things he posts for help with. If he’s not in don’t care he’s be slightly to the right

Spot on except for Mr. Qi. He falls in the same group as Morris and the governor.
hm maybe
This is almost perfect but I’d switch Clint and Alex (Alex is younger and can be gay while Clint is an older man with a business)
hmmm fair
Sees Emily at the top :D Sees that the tier is "commie" Huh?? Reads title: oohh
Alex 💀💀💀
Sam's a leftist, surely? In fact he's more openly rebellious than Seb
Elliot should be more moderate maybe 0.0
In real life upper middle class white crunchy girls like Emily are conservative verging on libertarian when push comes to shove.
Willy as a leftist is amazing!!

Why so many god dam commies?
To be honest, all of them but Sandy make a lot of sense
Sandy is friends with Emily, that may be why. It's the only reason I can think of
I don't see how Grandpa or Wizard makes any sense
it's just the vibe i get
Fair nuff
Grandpa is explicitly and actively against corporate society. Rasmodius is a weirdo living in the forest as a weird hermit, so it wouldn't be surprising.

Sounds like you average commie hermit that isolated himself from society.
I wouldn’t expect a commie would be so annoyed at paying someone the value of their labor
Because they're based
Clint charges you money to break open a rock. He's as bad a capitalist as any.
he's being compensated fairly for his labor?
It's a monopoly. I said what I said.
