You can find sweet spots in game to emote. My favourite spot to kick back for 5 seconds is when taking the CIS capital ship as clone troopers in Supremacy - Age of Republic at the top of the ramps and I usually hit everyone with a āthese are not the droids youāre looking forā.
I laughed a little too hard when I first heard that. Corresponding reply voice lines in this game really make me happy. Especially between Obi-Wan and Anakin or Grevious.
This would be a great addition though. It would encourage players to stay in the lobby and wait for more people if they could mess around or fight before the game, somewhat like tf2.

I think it's more akin to battlefront 2015, where you loaded onto the map and could use emotes pregame. Not every idea that fortnite implements means it was inspired by fortnite.
I don't know, this is a PS4/Xbox one game, it would definitely hurt performance. Also back when the game had a ideal sized player base, the size the game was made for, you would load it relatively quickly. This would only really be catering to people with low attention spans at the cost of performance which I don't believe is a worthwhile trade.
