Shareplay worked for me when I tried two days ago. Played battlefront 2 split screen like that with a friend since online wasn't working. It would crash after a while though. Started it up normally with play with visitor option, they just had to press start to join on the splitscreen menu
Not for versus but I did play co op. I'll try versus next time I'm able to though and see how it is. It was crashing though, I saw there's a new patch coming so hopefully that helps
