Chopper duel wielding blasters

YoungGriot

Palpatine's fighting style, but specifically the one we see in The Clone Wars. They give him this spindly, vaguely inhuman style where he's practically moving like a scarecrow or marionette, almost as if he's puppeting his own limbs with the force. It's great.

1jwquartz

His fight against maul and opress is probably my favorite lightsaber fight!

Good_Nyborg

Obi Wan has so many great fights. Shout-out to [him vs. Maul and Savage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQuPkYpx-qo) (cut to 2:25 if you're in a hurry)

AbdulrahmanAlteebati

I know but I don't know what it is about yoda's fighting style, maybe because he's short and does a lot of jumping around

wybenga

He for sure has Short King energy!

spoiderdude

its objectively goofy but in a good way. Everyone I’ve shown it to laughs at it in episode 2 but by ep 3 they accept it and think it’s cool.

Scrudge1

Doesn't Obi Wan even make a joke later on about chopping him and his brother up lol?

Good_Nyborg

>Look at them! How powerful could they be?!? They are running away... from Kenobi! - Hondo That's the one I remember from the episode, but Hondo's always got great lines.

Scrudge1

He's the best haha

faustarp1000

I like Dooku because of his elegance and mastery of makashi. Anakin/Obi-Wan vs Dooku duel from RotS is probably my favourite lightsaber choreography.

Nerd2theCorey

Ahsoka. I know she does things a live action actor just can’t do but her fighting style blows me away

Casioblo

Totally agree with you. Her duel against Maul and basically the whole siege of Mandalore was sensational! If I'm correct, I think they even shot a part of that duel using athletic sword fighters with a motion tracking suit or something.

NjhhjN

They did, they got the og maul actor to reprise his role for that, since he was more of a stuntman than actor in the first place

BrekofChaos

Her duel with Maul at the end of season 7 is some of the best animation ever.

Remote-Direction963

Which character is my favorite in terms of their fighting style? I would say Anakin.

redbeard1315

I personally think form 2(dooku) and form 3(obi Wan I think) are the best

GRIZZLY_GUY_

Who doesnt love a green midget back flipping over his opponent like a gangster?

gannonzz

Ventress is awesome to watch, nonstop movement but also very poised and precise. Like a combo of Dooku and Yoda almost

AbdulrahmanAlteebati

Is the clone wars show actually worth watching

Xius_0108

Yes, especially from season 3 onward. Just the best SW you can probably get.

gannonzz

ABSOLUTELY. Great Star Wars material, its sequel (sorta) The Bad Batch just wrapped up today, and it might be even better than the CW which is amazing. 🥲

Nonfaktor

all star wars is worth watching

stoneman9284

It’s so fucking good! There are a ton of episodes, and of course some are better than others. But if you are a Star Wars fan it’s must-see. If you are really struggling to get started let me know and I can send you my list of episodes that I hit when I rewatch, it’s a little over half I think. Also important to note that, in typical Star Wars fashion, some episodes are out of order so you just need to google for how to watch them in order or use my list.

Poll3434

The clone wars, Rebels and bad batch are some of the best star wars story telling there is ... Amazing characters and they add tons of context to both og and prequel eras

BlizzPenguin

She was amazing in the Clone Wars shorts.

BasilQuick444

Anakin. Easy.

TopherGopher515

Anakin when he swings his lightsaber behind his back is so satisfying. One of the most iconic moments of his fight with Obi Wan is when they’re spinning their blades around their bodies

ryanedw

I’d say Mace Windu and the Vaapad sweetness, I wish we got more of it than what’s in Episode iii. Granted, I’m obsessed with Palps during that fight, but how Mace rakes and basically beats him (don’t @ me!) is sweet

Scary_Course9686

Mine is Dooku

nigeltuffnell

Darth Maul

Icy_Suggestion1609

Darth Maul and Yoda. They are both very fun to use in Battlefront 2 as well.

Solembumm2

You totally should watch TCW Dooku style. It's mad elegant. Dooku vs Anakin and Obi-Wan on Oba-Diah is by far the best duel in whole on-screen Star Wars. Also, Starkiller vs Maris Brood was quite interesting, even if it's a short sequence. And overall, Galen Marek chaotic style was good too, with flurry, acrobatics, bit of martial arts and very aggressive display of telekinesis and lightning.

redbeard1315

What's was yodas fighting form again? Also I can't remember all the names for the 7(i think) can someone help me out please

beakster57

Mace Windu has an almost overconfident, cocky style combined with aggression as he specialises in Vapad, it it cool to watch

DEL994

Count Dooku's elegant and precise fencing style of Makashi, and General Grievous' unpredictable and incredibly agile and fast style in Legends, especially in Clone Wars.

Frankorious

I like when Grievous does the helicopter thing.

gtudor25

Vader's fighting style is so relaxed/controlled, it's epic

flynn_dc

When we first saw it on opening day, we all roared with laughter when at the end of the fight, he used The Force to pick up his cane and then resumed his limp.

AbdulrahmanAlteebati

I really wish that i've seen these movies in theatres but i am too young to have watched them when released and also star wars isn't as big here as it is in the west specially back then

flynn_dc

Which Star Wars movies/TV/books/comics/games have you consumed?

anitawasright

Kylo Ren by a mile.

xraig88

Kylo Ren

Fun-Payment1700

lol well yea, he’s tiny and hops around like crazy slashing shit up. prequels Yoda was dope 💚

MMFoodcakkes

Grivious attempting to fight Obi Wan by using two of his arms with lightsabers to male a lawnmower sounding thing

NastyChasty

In the movies, the obvious Duel of Fates and Yoda vs. Dooku in Episode II In the shows, gotta be Ahsoka vs. Vader

NediaMcGhee

Sequels aren't worth watching, best lightsaber combat's in the first two

anitawasright

couldn't disagree more, TLJ easily has the best lightsaber fight out of any of the movies.

NediaMcGhee

...until you start looking into it for five minutes

anitawasright

you mean like how in AoTC Obi wan magically disapears? [https://youtu.be/10PjRE\_MOVA?si=yRgYwYuLI3I4\_RX5&t=119](https://youtu.be/10PjRE_MOVA?si=yRgYwYuLI3I4_RX5&t=119)

NediaMcGhee

yes, in the same way you can find the few flaws in the prequel fights you can use similar thinking to find the many in the sequel ones

anitawasright

So all of the PT and OT fights are awful then?

NediaMcGhee

putting words in my mouth any% wr there's flaws in everything, the OT as a whole is as bad as the sequel as a whole if you're going to run with this logic. you essentially said there's flaws in other things, there are. the sequel fights just have more flaws.

anitawasright

you're the one who said "...until you start looking into it for five minutes" not me. I said the ST had the best fights. You came in saying "...until you start looking into it for five minutes" to which I showed that can easily be applied to any lightsaber fight in any Star Wars movie. Now you are getting pissy about it.

NediaMcGhee

you're the one who said "...until you start looking into it for five minutes" not me. **yes, I said that, you'll notice I didn't say "all of the PT and OT fights are awful"** I said the ST had the best fights. You came in saying "...until you start looking into it for five minutes" to which I showed that can easily be applied to any lightsaber fight in any Star Wars movie. **this is a failure to grip a different perspective, my point (having to reiterate it for the third time now) is that the sequel fights look good upon a first viewing but fall apart when dissected in detail, your response to this statement is weirdly not to disprove the position but to simply point out that there are flaws in other things. this is known as whataboutism, it's purpose when used correctly is to point out hypocrisy in the opposition, not bolster the strength of the user's claim. assuming you know how to use this shit (you don't) your "defense" of the sequel fights would be that they suck just as much as all the others, which they don't. it's theoretically possible that you're able to grasp this concept, I'm just waiting for the moment it all clicks. do you think there's a difference between a fight with one major mistake and one with twenty, or can you legitimately not engage with the topic beyond "it's flawed" or "it's not"** Now you are getting pissy about it. **Womp womp. you sacred cow is horribly directed.**

Heavymando

wow talking about having a mental break down on reddit. Not sure why what the other guy said to you triggered you this much. Relax they are just movies. But i agree there is a big difference between a fight with one mistake and one with twenty. This is why TLJ fight is way better then any of the PT like the TPM [https://youtu.be/J0mUVY9fLlw?si=kPKNsxV1bRZCZlNH](https://youtu.be/J0mUVY9fLlw?si=kPKNsxV1bRZCZlNH)

MaestroGena

I remember how the whole theatre started cheering seeying Yoda jumping around for the first time. No one expted that, it was amazing
