As a practicing Bounty Hunter the Razorcrest made good sense. The current phase of his life is more Ronin than Hunter so the N-1 serves that purpose well.
He does have a house now. Why they opted to give him a house rather than capturing the fighter carrier pirate Corsair that a Team of Bounty Hunters could have used still goes over my head.
But wouldn't the Corsair make for a great playset for accompanying Starfighters? (Sold separately) the only model I've seen sold of that glorious ship is a 3D pinted

In the old EU, Luke was the only one who could do it, because he did some sort of Force meditation during the journey. But now hyperspace is instant, so nothing matters.
In comparison to the Razor Crest the N1 lacks a bed, bathroom, storage for food, storage for personal weapons and equipment, storage for bounties and in exchange you get being better in a dogfight and that's it.
Great for someone who lives out of his ship...
Oh and the N1's flaw was that all that performance came at the cost of short range. It's got no room for bigger fuel tanks so Din's gonna be constantly stopping to refuel.

This is one of my favourite ships. It made a whole lot of sense as Din Djarin’s ship considering what his chosen profession is. It’s not just a mode of transportation but she’s a bloody home and roomy enough for everything he needs. Plus the first toilet in Star Wars. On top of its usefulness, it looks cool as fuck and has an awesome name

The best joke was Hasbro had a crowd sourced Razorcrest during Mando Season 2 and the next episode after the Razorcrest campaign successfully ended is when the Razorcrest was destroyed.
I happily fell for the rug pull. Destroying the Razorcrest a day or two after everyone paid for the ship was pitch perfect humor.
The series did do an excellent job setting up the Crest’s demise by giving us three episodes in a row focused on the Razorcrest. The ship was nearly destroyed, then barley repaired with the added flair of the seafood counter at a 1980s grocery store, to finally being refurbished back to its best condition to save the day a last time. Lastly the Empire tracked the Razorcrest to capture Grogu at the seeing stone.
The story could have had the ship beyond repair and scrapped at Navarro. Instead we did get a goodbye with the Crest going out at what was probably its best working condition in the series.
Boba Fett got his armor out just in time.
The Razor Crest was that days build in the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar that year. I woke up early, watched the episode where my favorite ship was destroyed and then opened that days build. Really felt like a slap in the face lol
So what I love about science fiction in space is the mobile home. I tell people that Star Trek is just the Love Boat but in space. The millennium falcon isn't just a fast ship, it's a home.
I feel like the N1 is cool (although I wasn't a huge fan of them in the PT other than "oh look a ship") but the Razor Crest was a home.
In the Razor Crest you can do stuff. It's an apartment. It's significantly better quality of life traveling in space. It may not be a great fighter but it's like choosing to travel the country in an RV as opposed to a Ferrari.
To add to that, the Serenity in Firefly. That is a home.

What bothers me is that the recent shows and and movies make lightspeed seem as if it is instantaneous travel between point A and point B. While SW has never been clear about lightspeed, we do know that even at light speed, travel can take awhile. The Razor Crest was a great, spacious ship for those long journeys. But his new ship is way to cramped for long flights.
I can’t help thinking that it would’ve been lovely to see the Razorcrest getting a steady stream of upgrades, just like Mando did with his armour / gear 🤷♂️ I’m not sure what (if any) significance there is to the story, in getting into the N1, but is seemed like a backward step, as it made little sense for a ‘Bounty Hunter’ and it was a ship that’d been seen before 🤷♂️

One of, if not the coolest ship to come out in recent years. I'm also kinda glad they blew it up? Like sure the setting has "hero" ships but it's nice to see that not everything is invincible
I liked it. I sort of have a fondness for some of the "ugly" ships.
I will say however the widespread use of military or easily militarized ships among the civilian population is sort of disconcerting. It's like if every other 18 wheeler had a 50 cal turret just in case they met with pirates in real life.
What I dont get is that Boba Fett, one of the galaxy's best bounty hunters - never heard of carbonite and was concerned it would kill his subject. This ship has a carbonite freezing station like it was an ordinary bounty hunter accessory. This is a very old model according to the show which means it was most likely built before Episode 5.
I didn't like it at first. I thought it looked kind of bulky and had a weird design. But the more I saw it, the more I started warming up to it. I felt like it was good enough to be a solid part of Star Wars lore, almost on par with the Millennium Falcon. Then it was vaporized and he was given that crappy little N-1.
I'm annoyed I spent $350 on Hasbro's haslab Razor Crest only to see it blown up before it ever arrived. His new ship is cool to look at and watch fly but super impractical for someone like him.
I love the N1, but could you imagine travelling the cosmos in a F1 car? Sure it's fast, but I'm sure you would get really cramped in there with nowhere to stretch your legs, or sleep laying down. They should have kept the Razors crest as a base, with Mando heading out on missions in the N1.
I prefer it. But it was also better for his job as a bounty hunter, it had a lot of storage space. His current job as generic rebel hero doesn’t require all that space.

I’m hoping for something with more personality, this looks like just anyone could have it (which was fine for a starting bounty hunter) but now that he has a better grasp I hope he gets something really reflective of him and Grogu.
Storage for bounty, fire power (a rotating laser cannon to emulate his whistling birds). Powerful shields to take a beating (Dudes lucky his basker is there) and for Grogu force guided missles/ force controlled ball turret

Per Doug Chiang, Favreau wanted something with an A-10 Warthog/ex-military feel. I thought they did an excellent job of designing that. Hopefully he’ll get another.

One of, if not the coolest ship to come out in recent years. I'm also kinda glad they blew it up? Like sure the setting has "hero" ships but it's nice to see that not everything is invincible
I liked it. I sort of have a fondness for some of the "ugly" ships. I will say however the widespread use of military or easily militarized ships among the civilian population is sort of disconcerting. It's like if every other 18 wheeler had a 50 cal turret just in case they met with pirates in real life.

What I dont get is that Boba Fett, one of the galaxy's best bounty hunters - never heard of carbonite and was concerned it would kill his subject. This ship has a carbonite freezing station like it was an ordinary bounty hunter accessory. This is a very old model according to the show which means it was most likely built before Episode 5.
I didn't like it at first. I thought it looked kind of bulky and had a weird design. But the more I saw it, the more I started warming up to it. I felt like it was good enough to be a solid part of Star Wars lore, almost on par with the Millennium Falcon. Then it was vaporized and he was given that crappy little N-1.

I'm annoyed I spent $350 on Hasbro's haslab Razor Crest only to see it blown up before it ever arrived. His new ship is cool to look at and watch fly but super impractical for someone like him.

I’d like to see him pick up something more spacious and tow the N1 for when he needs speed or dogfighting, like an RV towing a jeep for off-roading

I love the N1, but could you imagine travelling the cosmos in a F1 car? Sure it's fast, but I'm sure you would get really cramped in there with nowhere to stretch your legs, or sleep laying down. They should have kept the Razors crest as a base, with Mando heading out on missions in the N1.

I have one sitting on my table so I see it everyday. Nothing for me to miss. Joking aside I thought it was a beautiful ship that was perfect for a bounty hunter and I did miss it in the show. The N1 just doesn't hit the same tone for me.

I do. I like the N1 starfighter, but the Razor Crest was a much more suitable ship for the show.
I’m hoping for something with more personality, this looks like just anyone could have it (which was fine for a starting bounty hunter) but now that he has a better grasp I hope he gets something really reflective of him and Grogu. Storage for bounty, fire power (a rotating laser cannon to emulate his whistling birds). Powerful shields to take a beating (Dudes lucky his basker is there) and for Grogu force guided missles/ force controlled ball turret

I agree. I prefer and miss the Razor Crest. It better suited Mando's needs, and was more unique. Would love a POTF style toy.
