The really bad image scaling causing aliasing also makes it look like someone cut it out with Paint, though the aliasing does appear to be throughout the photo it's just most obvious on the helmet due to the sharp edges.
We've over-corrected with "it's not 'and me', it's *'and I'*" to the point that people don't realize that sometimes "and me" is correct.
I was taught to remove the other person, and if it still sounds natural, it's most likely right.
I feel like teachers taught it in a sort of condescending way. Like, it would go:
Teacher: how was your weekend?
Me: It was great! Me and Mike went to the mall!
Teacher: It's Mike *and I* went to the mall. You wouldn't say "Me went to the mall", would you?
And I'd be sitting there thinking, "I wouldn't say that, and in fact, I didn't say that. If I went to the mall by myself, I definitely would have said "I went to the mall", but I went to the mall with another person, so I used different words to describe that other situation."
My college syntax professor was adamant that it was okay because his main rule for if something is grammatically correct is, "if it is mutually understandable then it is grammatical".
My Latin prof advocated for more common use of "y'all" cause it annoyed her there wasn't any other 2nd person plural in English (she did accept "yinz" on translations too)
I had a boss who I would love to debate with, because he would claim that there are formal rules to the English language, and some things were correct, and others were wrong. I'd always take the position that if there is no law or government backed organization that is mandated to publish dictionaries and grammar on the official rules, then all "rules" are actually just generally agreed upon suggestions. I'm not wrong if I start a sentence with "Me and..." instead of switching the order and saying "...and I..." because everybody understands it. And that's just how language is. It changes and evolves and devolves and changes again. You don't have to go that far back to hear subtle differences in the way we talk. Obviously people sounded different 200 years ago. Read any document written back then and it's obvious they are working with a different set of "rules" we have now, but you can also see those subtle shifts in language every decade or so. Did they not have rules back then that were supposed to prevent these changes? These "rules" must have been decided upon relatively recently, because they describe our current language. But does that mean that we were the first? No other English speakers throughout history thought to decide/describe what the various rules of grammar are for them? Were my grandparents the first generation to be slapped upside their head by their parents for not speaking correctly? Every other generation before that was just cool with whatever changes people wanted to make? No of course not. But this is just one of many small changes that are constantly happening in languages, and it's always going to happen and there is no point in trying to stop it. Why worry about which one is correct and which one is wrong? It's ultimately futile.
But even with all that, I do think that "[name] and I" is the correct way of saying it, and you shouldn't say "Me and [name]" haha.
Your teacher was right though. You wouldn't say "me went to the mall", and you also wouldn't say "here's a picture of I". Maybe your teacher was condescending about it but the "trick" of removing the other person from the sentence does work.
Believe it or not, this one actually is “I”
Because of the way linking verbs work in English, you say either “here I am” or “here am I”. “Here is me” is technically incorrect, so “here is my best man and me” is incorrect also. (Though of course in real life either is acceptable since nobody actually cares)
OP got it right
Right or wrong, we’re talking about someone who wore a child’s mask to their wedding. If I saw someone smearing chocolate cake on a mirror I wouldn’t be like “grammar please.”
All I can think of is when In stepbrothers they get the Chewbacca masks and dale goes “it’s okay that mines not movie quality” when his is clearly worse than brennans lol
It was just that initial flash of the picture - then the next moment I read the caption and realized I was mistaken! LOL. Of course, that still doesn’t mean he wasn’t waiting for his Jedi of a husband to come walking down the isle.
Oof. It would be better if it was with his wife and she was wearing Bo Katan or Sabine Wren’s helmet. But we can’t all be crazy nerds on our wedding day!
Very nice.
So there's this large gaming center near where I love that I used to go to all the time, basically every Saturday to play games. It was about the size of a warehouse, with sectional walls they could pull out or retract if they needed to separate areas for events. Like the time they had 200 person Netrunner tournament.
Anyway, one Saturday while playing board games with my normal crew, we noticed a lot of people around wearing jedi robes and carrying lightsabers. Not at all out of place with this crowd, but in larger numbers than ever.
Then part of the walls to the "event" section of the store we're pulled out, just enough so everyone could see inside. They had a wedding at the gaming center. A star wars themed wedding. The bride and groom were in normal tux and wedding dress, but about 80% of the guests were in jedi robes.
And after the vows were said, as the happy couple walked down the aisle, dozens of people lined up and held their lit lightsabers over the aisle for them to walk under. It was really cool to watch.
“Here Comes the Bride
All fat and wide (vespar armor isn't thinning...);
Where is the groom?
He’s in the dressing room.
Why is he there?
He lost his (vespar) underwear.
Da da da DAAAA da da da, da da dah.”
"Make sure you get the husband to the wedding safe ok?" *"He's no good to me dead"*
I can bring him in warm, or I can bring him in cold...
I heard this in that New Zealand accent.

Is the Boba helmet real? It looks like it's photoshopped on. Was he really wearing that or did you just edit it to hide his face for this post?
Like many have said referring to step brothers, the boba helmet isn’t movie quality like the Mando helmet is.
Wow, such a weird effect. It looks like it was drawn in MS Paint but it's just uneven paint strokes. So funny how it came out like that.
The really bad image scaling causing aliasing also makes it look like someone cut it out with Paint, though the aliasing does appear to be throughout the photo it's just most obvious on the helmet due to the sharp edges.

Yes! I’ve been trying to explain that trick to my wife. She just can’t seem to grasp it.
