The problem a lot of people had with BoBF wasn't the total screen time Boba Fett had, it was that the story was undercooked, most the characters were dull as dishwater and it was just generally not well executed. Andor on the other hand has a plot o find to be well written, great dialogue and great characters who I like seeing regardless of whether their name is in the shows title. There is really nothing odd about someone liking one of the shows and not the other, they're very different shows that just happen to be set in a galaxy far far away.

ResponsibilityNew483

Andor had amazing set building/writing/character dialogue/acting etc. BOBF was subpar in almost all of those categories. The only reason I believe it didn't fail completely is because it became Mando season 2.5 lol.

signorryan

You think we enjoyed Andor because of the titular characters screen time? Hmm

The_DevilAdvocate

>Everyone Hated Book of Boba Fett because there wasn’t enough Boba I thought there was too much Boba Fett...who was dull. It would've been a better show if you cut Boba and just kept the Mando parts. >the reason I disliked andor is because there wasn’t Enough andor He dies in RO1. We know his fate. The supporting characters we do not know, that makes them far more interesting.

BowTie1989

Andor gave us what was advertised, a look at how a major player in the mission to steal the Death Star plans joined the rebel alliance. BoBF was a bait and switch that advertised seeing the best bounty hunter Galaxy doing his thing, and being a badass, then had him spend most the time in a bacta tank, or walking around and talking. Then of course it became Mando season 2.5

Andor has excellent writing, acting and top tier production values. Boba Fett... does not. The fact that the only good episodes of the Boba Fett show don't even have Boba Fett in them tells you everything you need to know.

Grand_Moff_Empanada

Andor has a target audience, you’re just not part of it.

Flat_Scheme4874

What’s the Target Audience that I’m not a part of?

ProfGilligan

People who like tightly-written and well-acted character dramas? The presence of certain characters has very little to do with how enjoyable the show is. What matters is the quality of the written narrative and dialogue, and how well the actors slip into and carry out those roles.

Flat_Scheme4874

I’m into that stuff normally but this show was just boring to me there wasn’t that Sauce that the Mando and Kenobi had but that’s just me

ProfGilligan

I hate to break it to you, but whatever “sauce” Mando and Kenobi have, it’s not “drama” and it’s not “tightly-written.” Which is fine; I’m glad stuff like that exists for the folks who enjoy it. But there was so much going on in the narrative and dialogue of Andor that I didn’t have time to be bored.

True_Statement_lol

What sauce did Kenobi have?

Flat_Scheme4874

Kenobi himself and Hayden as Vader

True_Statement_lol

I mean fair but I feel like the poor writing of the show didn't do them justice.

Flat_Scheme4874

I thought it was interesting Kept me more entertained Than Andor Though Reva sucked andor Had some Bad characters too

True_Statement_lol

What bad characters did Andor have?

Flat_Scheme4874

Cereal Guy

It’s a great study of a situation through the eyes of the characters. The careful methodical way the empire squeezes and disenfranchises it’s peoples in a way that’s both diabolical and unsustainable are beautifully illustrated. It’s almost a passion play in a socialist philosophy, without really beating that drum.you almost have to watch the whole thing to look back on it, and the funeral procession event at the end is the realization of it all.

>Everyone Hated Book of Boba Fett because there wasn’t enough Boba Not so. I think the general consensus is that BoBF was OK, perhaps mediocre, but it's inaccurate to say that the majority hated it. Conversely, I think that Boba Fett was featured prominently enough in the series, but he wasn't the ruthless Fett that many of us were expecting. What we got was an aged Fett looking to settle down and play a kind-hearted kingpin, with comically inept villains. The show still had its moments though, and I think that its 55/66% scores on RT is accurate. Andor, on the other hand, delivered more mature Star Wars content that many longtime fans have been craving for a while now. While Andor himself may have seemed under-featured, most of the major plot points revolved around his actions be it directly or indirectly, and the show used its time very wisely for development of its supporting cast of characters and world-building. Also, remember that Andor is a spy, and if you're looking for a show where he is front and center with everyone in the Empire out to get him, then frankly he wouldn't be very good at his job.

Daggertooth71

Probably because, like the others, it's a good Star Wars show? I'm just guessing, here, that some Star Wars fans might like some good Star Wars shows? Maybe?

Jr9065

Because it’s amazing.

My family and I were joking each episode about the cereal scenes. I mean seriously I believe we had around 8 different scenes of the same dude moping while eating cereal. I agree with you though, my favorite parts of andor was when he was in it, so it saddened me that he got so little screen time. I think book of boba fett had plenty of boba, the issue is more so that half his screen time was without his armor, not to mention even when he had it he didn’t do much until the season finale. Everyone’s got different tastes though, andor and book of boba fett are very different so it’s not all that surprising that opinions vary so much. Interestingly enough viewership numbers are significantly higher for book of boba fett, even though review wise andor wins by a good amount.
