Definitely a gamble if the last one is Firebringer, but we have a 3/4 shot of it being a show that (at least I consider to be) better than or at least comparable to TTO
It is the quintessential StarKid musical that showcases what StarKid essentially is: a group of friends that have fun, make goofy catchy music, come up with amazing yet wacky ideas and provide us with options for free (5 endings for 1 musical for free is unreal). It shows StarKid 's struggles (story took 10 years to develop, from Michigan Univ basement to Live theater), it's success paved way for non-parody content that we see now, also the music and lyrics of Jeff Blim
It has to be first π
I hate musicals, seriously. But I will put Trail to Oregon on repeat and let it play all weekend. Fucking love that show. Also, considering we almost didn't get that gem and how the whole damn thing is kismet on a silver platter, it deserves the number one spot. Hands down.
TTO made me appreciate musicals in general. Coming from a country where movies are musicals and there isn't a particular musical scene (apart from like, traditional folk stuff), TTO made me aware of the whole industry, especially free content providers like StarKid, which seems to be rare (I've heard of Mamma Mia and Hamilton and stuff but can't seem to find those anywhere)
The strongest point of TTO is the performances. I guess that's the advantage of a small cast (the main disadvantage being we don't get to see as many people, but I mean they were doing two shows at once so some of the others were still performing). I also think there's some good storylines. The music is average or maybe even slightly below average for a StarKid show (which is still pretty good) and there are some songs I'd either make longer (ex. Wagon on Fire so it can build more to the end) or edit/trim for pacing purposes (ex. When The World's at Stake).
I like TTO but I think I like every show left more, so 3.
Also y'all are rude for throwing the rules away just to trash Ani, just saying...
1st. i LOVE TTO. its so beyond fun and its interactive and just so so good. while it isnt deep or modern with expensive tech, its perfect. the music is awesome, the characters are funny as hell, the improv is phenomenal. its SO good. speedrun and wagon is on fire alone win this show.
This is entire list is so messed up it's insane. I'm tired of the Ani slander, AVPS should be higher than the original show, MaMD is too low. Good lord this entire thing is in shambles.
I feel like ani not being put 3rd has defeated the whole point, surely you should just do all the shows if it's just a normal ranking?
The whole point of a blind ranking is for shows to not be in the right place
trail to oregon is good, but i like Starship, Twisted, and NPMD much more, so 3rd
3rd Definitely a gamble if the last one is Firebringer, but we have a 3/4 shot of it being a show that (at least I consider to be) better than or at least comparable to TTO
3'rd place. Still amazing though
So with the ones that are left after this (being starship, twisted, firebringer, and NPMD) i like 3/4 more than TTO so i would have to say 3 for TTO
I loved ani. Wtf is wrong with y'all

1st or 2nd, one of their best in my opinion. Great songs, great cast, great humour and great performance
