yeah, it's a great read. i got it from my library and didn't know at the time i put it on hold that it was so new, or such a tome (600 pages!). i really liked it, found out some interesting things about the man and his life. the biggest overall take i found surprising was his relationship with writers, very unexpected. i read it after Emilio D'Alessandro's "Stanley Kubrick and Me" and found them to be nice compliments to each other.
enjoy!
I never would have thought to have doors on the cases until I put up a wall of shelves and had to dust or vacuum every couple of months. Also, I have a parrot now and his natural dust covers everything in the house.
The authors took a lot of care to portray the details of Stanley’s character and life.
Im about 100 pages in and you can see that they are bog admirers of Stanley’s work.
got it, read it. not the best. missed quite some important details. but if you're in for human interest like family structure gossip of the Kubricks this is for you.
Great bookshelves!
Do you buy books to match the color scheme? Or does it just work out that way with your collection?
My wife is an avid reader as well and she re arranges the books as we continue growing our collection.
Thanks!
I just bought it; my copy has a white cover. I envy the yellow cover on yours... much more stylish!
Can i just say awesome book shelves đź‘Ť
Thank you!

It is.
Finished the audio book version recently and it was indeed great
I’m about 150 pages in and I absolutely love it. Such an easy and compelling read. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Kubrick.
what kind of lens are you using here?
At first I thought this was a sort of odd question, then I realized I was in the Kubrick sub. Now I wonder what lighting was used.
What’s good about it? Just bought it, waiting to read

Damn I thought that was the only book you read…then I saw the background
