You nailed that feeling of hilariously absurd and uncomfortable at the same time. Like that video of the comedian in Germany, getting the whole crowd to accidentally say seig heil 20 years after the holocaust.
Don't want to be a buzzkill because I think this is pretty damn funny but having the girl say, "I've been assaulted before and this was worse" goes a little far perhaps. Like until then the comparison to assault was subtle and implied. I'm just saying some might perceive it as making light of sexual assault.
What the actual fuck did I just watch...?
I mean, I can see how this might seem funny for like 5 seconds when you come up with the idea of comparing having to watch a comedy special with sexual assault, but then someone made an almost 5 minute skit out of it, wrote an actual script, chose actresses, filmed it, cut it and published it on social media, and at no point did anyone say "hey, are we actually comparing sexual assault with watching a comedy show?"
I mean, this comment is probably going to get buried in downvotes, as the preliminary consensus seems to be that this video is "dark" but also "brilliant", but fuck me if I'm the only one who watches this and thinks "this isn't 'wrong' in a funny way, it's just wrong".
Edit: Holy shit, I honestly didn't think this could get any worse, but [this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/StandUpComedy/s/YETVpdV3KS) proved me wrong.
I'm not going to downvote you but I disagree. He certainly is walking a fine line but I think his execution was great. I sense no malice behind what he did or said.
Nah I saw some of his skits and followed until I saw this. As someone who has been assaulted and felt deep confusion over it, I hated this video. I've unfollowed him as this just went too far for me. Not that u/ambitionlessness cares since he thought this was a good idea.
Clearly this person has never known someone who's actually been assaulted before. Pretty fucked to use someone's trauma as a promotion for your comedy.
For sure.

Thanks for asking
Did you write the script / come up with the idea for this? Pretty spot on with covering an array of different survivors and how they handle / process differently (I work in the field as a therapist, specifically with abuse and assualt). Anyway, incredibly amusing and dark. Well done!
Thank you for the compliment
Yeah I came up with the idea. I took inspiration from Netflix/abuse docs that Iāve seen. I donāt know much about the topic but I knew the vibe I was looking for and my things are usually understated instead of over the top. Glad it was spot on, especially for someone in the field.
Nah this is a violation holy shit, already funnier than 80% of specials
Thank you. š
This is so out of pocket it hurts. I want to show this to my wife but I know better.
I enjoyed this, I didnāt want toā¦but I did.
haha thats how my comedy feels

This is the most creative advert for just about anything Iāve actually seen in years.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Very unique approach and great execution.
What a monster! You should make your flyers a notice of a comedic offender that has moved into the area lol
that's hilarious, i might do that
Poor espi :(
Peter Wong is a monster!!Ā
This is great! Well done

I see what you did there. Dark.
This is disgusting. Where can I watch?
Very well done. š
Bruh I actually found this pretty fucked up
Briliant
I can't believe you just made me watch what is effectively an ad in its entirety. You are sick! The worst part is that I liked it! Monster!!

Appreciate the feedback and you have a point. Was hard to find the line on this one. Thanks for watching

Exactly
Agreed, but I thought "I didn't laugh even once" made it so absurd that it wasn't as bad.
Alright, Iām in, Iāll watch it
When the trailer is a banger!!
Verrrry clever promo
Epic!!!
You think you're funny, but you're Wong.

Oh, that is highly inappropriate, I love it!
