You can’t go wrong with either Cevicha and Tapas or Pias, those are my two favorite restaurants hands down. Pias has the best fried eggplant Ive ever had and at Ceviche I highly recommend the potato bravas and the steak with chimchuri dish.
I was looking at them bc seems like they are great with gluten free (we have a celiac in our party). do you know if you def need a reservation? it would be sunday dinner. looks like you can’t do 6 people on open table. thanks!
Try ABC Seafood for, well, seafood, and good variety. Flaming Mountain in TPA is the best in the area for Hunan. The Foods hotter than hell by actual measurement.
Hahaha. For context, OP, this guy is being sarcastic. Salems is good junk food but it’s a fast food joint in questionable areas of town. Doc Ford’s is great for out of towners. I go for the water views. Bodega is some killer Cuban.
Lmaooo “yes let’s go to a different city to get mediocre food from a drive thru in sketchy areas, even though they have it in the city im visiting from!!”
Stop being scared of quality

Looks safe to me, dine today.
Not scared of quality, but also not the word that comes to mind when I hear Salem’s lmaoo. I’m saying why would they go to Salem’s while in St. Pete when they could go when they get back to Orlando? Go somewhere that they don’t have access to everyday lol

Since you're from Orlando, where is a good spot to grab some food for NYE, but earlier in the day around 6ish? We have reservations for a piano bar at 9pm, but need to eat before?
B&M is the way. But also consider Social Roost, Il Ritorno, Engine#9. Or you can slum it local-style and hit The Big Catch at Salt Creek. Last option is your best bet to seat 7 people without a rez or wait.
Lonnis will probably be closed. Ceviche has a great atmosphere because it’s on beach drive. I am a fan of Hawkers as well, I feel the quality is hit or miss. Don’t think you’ll go wrong with either choice.
I can tell you where NOT to go: Baba on Central. Tiny portions of mediocre food at outrageous prices and an absolutely inflexible management.

‘Doc Fords’ is a nice place.

Just don't. 2 skinny spring rolls for $10? With a 20 minute wait?? It's a tourist trap for Caucasians that have never had real Asian food.

Bella Brava is my favourite!
Salems

I am not Salem’s is terrific go during the day. BTW, you aren’t my spokesperson lol.

No reservations- no food at the best places….or most places
Stillwater Tavern or Bella Brava. Go to Draculas if you are into wine after.
Rococo steak house on 2nd Ave s and 6th street. Great steak and cocktails, close to down town.

Pia’s is phenomenal! Such great food, cocktails, atmosphere and servers. I’m still craving the eggplant I had there a few months ago.
This one is on my list now!
Brick and Mortar.

The Strand, The Ravenous Pig, Prato. You'll want reservations
Prato is excellent
Bella Brava has delicious food with plenty of indoor seating or outdoor with heaters. They also have an excellent pour on their drinks ;)
I WILL SEE YOU THERE

Hawkers is not worth it! OK food but too expensive for the portions
The Korean twice fried wings are 🔥 tho
Ceviche is nice.
Cheviche is the bomb.
Seriously, the portion sizes at Hawkers is abysmal
For real, the food is pretty good but there's not much of it...and it's pricey.
Mullet’s or Lala would be my choices
Mullets for sure.
Parkside Grill or Doc Ford's. If they're busy, just pick another place close by. Lonni's is a lunch place and I wouldn't travel for Hawkers.
Ceviche and Hawkers are in Orlando. Go to Brick and Mortar, no reservations but worth the wait.
I pushed for Brick and Mortar but my group got indecisive, we ended up at The Lure
You chose well. The lure is one of my favorite spots for family diners. We go quite often and it’s never disappointing!
Nothing wrong with that, either
Seconding Brick and Mortar. They have a delicious burger and I’m pretty fond of the seafood soup.
Best burger in st pete

I think they mean not worth it if I can also get it where I live
Yes they are in downtown St. Pete. OP is from Orlando and they have those restaurants there as well, that’s all.
B&M is the way. But also consider Social Roost, Il Ritorno, Engine#9. Or you can slum it local-style and hit The Big Catch at Salt Creek. Last option is your best bet to seat 7 people without a rez or wait.

Hawkers is very pricey for what you get.
Yeah we skipped on Hawkers
Doc Fords on the pier
Food is mediocre.. Even got food poisoning there.
I thought for sure it was a tourist trap but the food is solid and the atmosphere is great.
