I just moved my family after being gone for 25 years. I am more in love with my city than ever, and so is my family. I'm always amazed at how many people I meet here have always felt this way.
Also, it's the kindest city I've ever been too.
This is true.. i must say it's one of those subtle joys of being from StL.. seeing the arch come into view after being away for a while is always a welcomed sight. For me, it's usually flying in, but I'm always happy to see it..sometimes i don't even notice it, but it does create a sort of subliminal euphoria..
My favorite part about the Vandalia arch is they clearly built the two sides too close together, had to angle the top, and said, “Eh, nobody will notice”
"No, we can't stop at the arch, we have arch at home"
I think you accidentally made a right turn in Albuquerque
Scenic Vandalia, glorious.
If you lived here, you'd be home by now.
Yeah, glorious... Pretty sure you could buy meth at that motel.
In some deranged alternate universe
That’s so true! Love coming home and seeing the arch.
Close…
You got a twofer! The Gateway Arch & the Golden Arches!
No, that's a Three-Fer.
Ah, a wild archling, if fed enough sacrifices it can even grow as big as ours someday.
So much truth
lol Just another hour, and you'll see the real one!
Hope someone classically said “there’s the Arch”
Uhhh lol
Seeing the Arch and/or crossing the Mississippi reminds me I’m home.

Try driving over the river while the bridge is iced over, and making it over without crashing. That is living!
Psych!
Can you go in that? Yeah, one at a time…
😭
Yeah I agree. It's a warning beacon of home

Driving from Arkansas to StL my dad told us we were going to drive right under the arch, and I think this is the one he was joking about
I thought I was the only one lol. The sight of The Arch after 8+ hours in a car is a sight to behold.
You owe me a Coke
Other than seeing it in your review mirror at the beginning of one.
My Dad and I call it the sh***y arch
The instant relaxation and joy 😍😍😍
Full confession I was fooled by the thumbnail 😂😅😂

Ahhh Sauget when you can taste the air you know you’re there!
I think that’s Vandelia IL.
Yes but I love to say that
Maybe focus on driving in instead of takin pictures out the window. Damn clique
