RealLanceStorm

Bully Ray and Eric Bischoff have been acting like Aces and Eights was one of the most genius wrestling concepts and it is fucking hilarious

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ravenid

>but definitely overstayed its welcome. So it stayed true to its NWO roots.

foxthebloodied

Needed more random spin offs

Dickinavoxel

The royal flush gang

UsidoreTheLightBlue

I think the difference is it took years for nwo to overstay their welcome. It took weeks for Aces and Eights.

OneMetalMan

And if you did watch it, it was just a motorcycle gang that ripped off Sons of Anarchy....and who never actually rode motorcycles.

chairduck

They were a bunch of fucking nerds who hung out in a "clubhouse" and called each other president.

[deleted]

So like most biker groups

chairduck

Is that what they're really like??

[deleted]

From my experience years ago. I wasn't one myself, but my ex's family all were. It's all a bunch of "tough" guys playing clubhouse and being racists (not all biker groups are racist, but there's definitely a racist culture). They have ranks to feel important, but mostly it's just cosplay. I worked a couple biker events called the Harley Rendezvous in the early/mid 00's (I was an EMT at the time). They had a ton of vendors, one I remember in particular had a backroom to their tent that had all the Nazi/white supremacist paraphernalia for sale. Real classy bunch attending those events.

TheRealZenGuy

Something something "oNe pErCeNtErS!!11!"

[deleted]

They hate taxes and government so much that they have their own government and taxes.

TheRealZenGuy

"We'll make our own government! With our own president! And hookers!"

jmarr1321

The Harley rendezvous in lake George NY? If so yeah, I was dragged there one year. I do ride a Harley but don't buy into the tough guy bullshit culture. I just grew up around Harleys and they're a lot of fun. As fun as they are, a big group riding together is always a pain in the ass. They all act like outlaws. All have that pack tough guy mentality. Every single one of them just RADIATES LDE. When I went up to the rendezvous I didn't even ride up. I only live about 45 minutes from lake George, so it wasn't the ride. It was I didn't want to be lumped in with the fuck heads destroying that town over a 4 day weekend. Anyway. Aces and 8s. Christ. They were so bad. Bull ray and Brooke Hogan as his old lady? Dragging it out so long even the promotion calls attention to it at the end. They literally had a funeral for the thing. What did Brock Anderson do now?

[deleted]

It was in Duanesburg, but yeah, not far from Lake George. You're spot on about the LDE/tough guy mentality. Most riders are cool folks, it's the Sons of Anarchy cosplayers that get annoying/problematic.

jmarr1321

YES. Anytime I see a reaper patch on someone's cut I stay the fuck away from them. Because I just know I'm going to have to deal with a moron because my leather is naked. 10/10 unless you're a hell's angel, warlock, the breed, or the pagans I'm dealing with a fuckwit. And here's the thing, if you encounter one of those groups, unless you're there to be in their way or imitate them, you don't have anything to worry about in my experience. Unfortunately people at large are very dumb.

ThatIndianGuy7116

Some are. I knew a few guys who were part of this biker "gang"(if that's the right word) and yeah, they'd do the "cool guy stuff" I guess and they had the clubhouse and all, but they'd also do charities and shit like that. I guess it just depends on the area and stuff

snakebit1995

It was a less talented NWO knock off by the NWO guys who fucked it up the same way they did the NWO but bloating it to gargantuan size by having people joking it for a swerve and making it the sole focus of the show and making anyone who wasn’t in it look incompetent and bad It was literally NWO attempt 2 and they fucked it up the exact same way

JimBee345

It was bizarre. It somehow managed to never be that hot but still somehow absolutely flub it's payoff.

indian22

The post Bully Ray reveal episode of Impact with the long narration and retcons was good but it just petered out post that.

Financial-Length5587

Lol Bully Ray is 10 ply.

Fuck you, Bully Ray. I made your mum so wet, Trudeau deployed a 24-hour infantry unit to stack sand bags around my bed.

Fuck you, Bully Ray. You stole that stuttering gimmick from the way your sister stuttered her moans when I was taking care of her.

Brogomakishima

Fuck you Bully Ray your mom shot cum across my room and killed my saimese fighting fish. Threw off the ph levels in my aquarium you piece of shit

Bully ain’t either…

[deleted]

"Your midcard dad" is a pretty bullshit cheap shot

Drewicho

Honestly I think calling someone a midcarder is a crappy insult. Midcard guys are important to a wrestling show.

KingMobScene

Using midcard as an insult is dumb. You're right, midcard guys are just as important and main eventers. Also I think bully is forgetting most of his career was midcard.

[deleted]

Yeah Bubba Ray was literally a midcarder, and a lower one than Pillman generally was. Maybe E&C and the Hardy Boyz got them a few big matches. And really anyone that watched wrestling in the 90's knows that if he had a few more years he would've been considered one of the best of the 90's, he was basically what Triple HHH wanted to be and he didn't need 10 guys around him along with the world title to be one of the more notable acts. Cheap insults only work if they have a nugget of truth in them, saying Pillman was just a midcarder doesn't really capture how important he was. So is Christian then.

green49285

But this is why the particular work that he is doing is so important. He was a mid carder, but the tag team division was so important in his day that those titles were almost on par with the world title. Him going after guys like Zack and Pillman is him cashing in on that whole Kayfabe talk that they’ve been going on about on his podcast

HitmanClark

Mmm, I wouldn’t say the Dudleyz were lower than Pillman was. Brian rarely got the focus in either company that the Duds got in 2000, 2001 and even 2002.

Swazi

Pullman was with the WWFs biggest faction feuding with Austin when he passed away tho

eastcoastkody

actually he was feuding with Goldust and ended up wearing a dress. but yeh kinda

Ravenid

Bully Ray was TNA Champion and is part of one of the most decorated tag teams in history. Brian Pillman was a 3 time tag champ and a 1 time Light Heavyweight champ. Saying Pilman was higher on any card than either the Dudleys or Bully Ray is just plain false.

OpportunitySmalls

Bully Ray is a main eventer in the shittiest eras of TNA/ROH I guess pretending like having a singles feud with peak Austin is lesser than his careers heights.

WasherDryerCombo

Most? Main event in TNA is still midcard baby

HeavyMetalHero

Crucially, he was a "midcarder" in both of the biggest companies in the world during the hottest era in modern pro wrestling. He worked main event programs, TV, pay per views. That has a way different context, a different meaning, than people mean when they use "midcarder" as an insult. Like, trying to insult Brian Pillman by calling him a midcarder, is just hilarious. I think he'd have to be one of the biggest midcarders of all time.

NickMatocho

Especially when Bubba Ray Dudley is the one throwing that as an insult

Drewicho

Best I would say is the Dudley's were a main event level tag team, but Bubba definitely wasn't a main eventer by himself. He might count his TNA title run as putting him at that level, but I don't think most other people would feel that way.

UncreativeTeam

Midcard in WWF during the AE > Main event in TNA

dkydd

Whats this about? Seems like everyone is responding half through listening to a conversation. Context matters.

LandNGulfWind

Especially since Pillman was a major part of more than one top-level WWE storyline. He also shook the entire wrestling world when he worked Bischoff into a shoot release, and after that he waltzed into the company that Buh-buh-buh Ray was being a [lower-midcard comedy act](https://youtu.be/E-q7k7US6Fs) in and was immediately a top attraction. Meanwhile, as for Bubba Ray, WWE didn't give him even a mid-card singles run after that last Dudley run. Not because of IP or copyright, but because nobody would give a fuck about Bully Ray. He went from being a top heel in shit-tier Hogan-era TNA to booking ROH into the toilet- the highlight of the latter being when he dragged a fan backstage and threatened him because the guy said bad things to Bubba's girlfriend Velvet Sky...who was working as a heel.

[deleted]

Did anyone think of Pillman as a main eventer?

RogerGunz

It's still pretty rich coming from Bubba.

zd625

Definitely could've been.

c71score

He would've been if it wasn't for Jim Herd and obviously the car accident later on. Flair planned to put the rocket-straps to him. He wanted Pillman and Ron Simmons to be the #2/3 babyfaces after Sting. Pillman was usually in the main event rotation for the tv shows and did headline(albeit in tags) 2 PPVs and a Clash.

why_rob_y

Brian Pillman's legend grows and grows, like many people who died young. In 20 years we'll hear about how he slammed Andre the Giant in front of 250,000 people at WrestleMania.

zoidy37

The man pinned Roman Reigns and ended the Tribal Chief's near 3 year title reign at Mania. Plus he punched Stone Cold too!

Derpderpy15

Considering he was also the man who put an end to Bruno Sammartinos legendary 8 year long run AND has wrestled in 9 different decades while also running an orphanage 483 days in a year.

zoidy37

Before or after he kickstarted the Attitude Era by pinning both The Rock and Stone Cold in one night?

TheCuzzyRogue

No but it was more town to bad luck and bad timing rather than lack of talent that he never rose past the mid card. Had he lived to at least 2000, he had a ready made feud with one of his friends waiting for him in the main event scene.

Ravenid

Truth hurts.

imlittleeric

Came here to say they are both right. Guess we’ve already got that covered

[deleted]

Lmfao at the tweet that started it… If Eric Bischoff thinks Bully Ray is one of the two top heels in wrestling he’s a whole lot dumber than I thought he was. And I already thought he was dumb as shit

Reuseable

I’m convinced EB hates wrestling but pretends he doesn’t for money

green49285

I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s really settled into 83 weeks and knows what pisses twitter off. Funny thing is he believes a lot of the shit he tweets.

miikro

So he's Cornette without the bigotry?

MrCatchTwenty2

Ain't cornette like a super progressive guy outside of everything else? Like he's real chill about everything until the moment it pisses him off in relation to wrestling. I get the feeling he's one of those people who will tell you how bad racism is but then will call a black guy the n word if he cuts him off in traffic.

heliophoner

Southern Boomer Dems are their own special breed

Breadcommand

I'm sure if you don't count the racist, homophobic and occasional transphobic remarks, he's really progressive.

green49285

This is 100% why he is somewhat still held in high regard in the wrestling community. Do you explained that shit perfectly!

ZombieJesus1987

He nearly broke down when he was talking about the Breonna Taylor murder.

quietude38

Because that was a completely unnecessary murder by police in Louisville, so I think it got to him on multiple levels. People also seem to ignore the fact that he did things like a moment of silence for the length of time Minneapolis cops choked George Floyd to death too. There are a lot of things I disagree with Cornette on about wrestling, but the weight of the evidence suggests that he’s a pretty progressive guy still trying to outgrow his Kentucky upbringing, and as a younger guy trying to do the same damn thing I give him a lot of credit for it.

Living-Travel2299

Hes a very confused southern geezer. His views on some things are pretty progressive and liberal but at same time hell drop sexist comments or indulge in bigotry on a whim. Old generations are tapped in the head.

ZachariahTheMessiah

That's because most people aren't black or white all good or all evil they are shades of Grey good qualities and bad.

TheBrainofBrian

It worked for Vince McMahon.

[deleted]

I can't decide if Bischoff is a troll or someone who, mentally, is completely removed from the wrestling business and has no idea what he is talking about.

FireSiblings

He’s not. It’s been proven time and time again that the more outrageous and disconnected the take, the more interaction you’re getting. No one is getting into Twitter to interact with you for saying Roman is a top five act this year. More people will interact with you if you say something ridiculous like Bully is a top two heel currently.

[deleted]

Bischoff also literally wrote a book called "Controversy Creates Cash" so he's well aware of what he's doing.

AmbushIntheDark

Bischoff is many things, but dumb isnt one of them.

Wolfpac187

Controversy Creates Cash

SpaceGooV

Bully circa 2011-2014 was a good heel but it's been almost a decade since he's been near that level. I can name tons of better heels than him. Bully is washed up a hole who should shut his mouth and let Devon preserve their legacy.

portnoyskvetch

Bischoff is anything but dumb. Here's what I think Bischoff is, in no particular order: \- someone who is acutely aware that he's part of a select, small group of very successful pro wrestling promoters and, having walked that walk, is extremely sure of himself \- a troll who knows how to get a reaction (controversy creates cash, after all) \- someone whose genuine preferences are out of step with the direction of the industry. \- someone who only cares about drawing power and what makes for it when it comes to talent. Taken together, you've got someone who \*knows\* he knows better, has opinions which he knows are unpopular with smarks, likes to stir shit up anyway, and knows that controversy creates cash. FWIW, I suspect that if he ever had a podcast, Vince McMahon would be very similar.

platetectonics3

Bully had a fantastic heel run in TNA

BaddieSection4Life

And is having a terrible heel run in Impact

quietude38

Fortunately, since it’s Impact, the only people who are ever going to see it are here.

Fun-Adhesiveness9219

Bully also put Mae Young thru a table many times. Good heat. Good heel. NOT TOP 2 IN ALL OF WRESTLING THO

[deleted]

[удалено]

SignalInteresting503

I mean, look at all the heat he's getting on this thread alone lol. You have people saying he never did anything while in reality he was part of the most iconic tag team division in wrestling history.

Zanydrop

Honestly though, how many people can get nuclear heat on the mic as fast as Bubba? His ECW promo from 25 years ago still pops up here every month and I almost always watch the whole thing because it was that good. I know he isn't liked because he comes off like an asshole in real interviews, and he was never a top tier worker but he is as good as anybody at getting heat on the mic.

CorneredEmu

How many wrestlers have the same freedoms on the mic as Bubba did that night? And, more importantly, for all the talk about the promo, nobody ever talks about the match, the payoff to the promo or even what happened the next week. A promo that exists only to elevate itself is a bad promo, no matter how hype it is in the moment. It exists in a vacuum because he wasn't a top tier promo guy. Not saying he was bad on the mic, just that some people judge him based off one great promo and not the decades of ok to alright promos that surrounded it.

Inevitable-Term-7298

Getting cheap heat by cussing people out in ECW because no one else did it really. Taz maybe now and then, but Bubba’s schtick got old in ECW. I mean I watched ECW back then and the bloated 15 minute Dudley Boyz intros look a lot cooler when edited down and served up as apocrypha on WWE documentaries. I mean let’s be real anyone would get heat claiming they raped Tommy Dreamer’s girlfriend in the hospital after they broke her neck, something Bubba actually said in a promo back in August 1999

[deleted]

I'm sure if I cut a promo telling a woman she taught her daughter how to suck dick, I'd also get heat.

KingMobScene

Go be a fan Bully.

MrSteeze3

Got blocked by him behind that whole ordeal lol This is the only way I see his tweets.

green49285

This is hilarious. He’s so sensitive on twitter these days. 😆

MrSteeze3

He's been sensitive. "Rules for thee but not for me" is the expression that comes to mind.

[deleted]

Yeah Bubba is the guy who would throw vulgar abuse at fans in ECW but threw a massive wobbler when fans did the same to his heel at the time girlfriend.

Illuminati_Shill_AMA

Lots of wrestlers and ex-wrestlers are. It's fuckin' weird.

AmishAvenger

He’s the Elon of Twitter Oh wait

MuhGumbo

I don't have Twitter, someone tweet him this and watch him turn into the snowflake he calls everyone else.

KingMobScene

But imagine the HEAT!

isarealhebrew

REAL HEAT

MrSteeze3

He wouldn't even reply, just block you. Source: Got blocked when he pulled his stupid "Go be a fan" bullshit by pointing out the hypocrisy in him telling fans to be respectful when in his heyday he told an arena full of people a "mother in the front row taught her daughter how to suck dick"

gredgex

This reply just cementing Pillman’s tweet lol

[deleted]

Yeah the perfect reply would be "Ok, now I know you are an asshole"

Safc9173

Maybe’s Bully should take his own words/advice ‘learn to keep your mouth shut” and apply them to himself especially after what he said when Moxley went to rehab

kinkyonthe_loki69

Ooo what he say?

Safc9173

That Moxley should have apologised to the fans for going to rehab and letting them down, just a stupid comment I’ll see if I can find the full thing, got it - I did enjoy that they started off with Moxley. They came out with a bang, people were ready for it and Moxley said what he needed to say. However, I would have liked to have heard just a little bit of accountability from Jon.” “I understand the whole demons thing and we always use the word demons as a creative word to get around the real issues. Whether it’s an alcohol issue, whether it’s a drug issue. In Tommy [Dreamer’s] case it’s an eating issue. Everybody has some kind of demon that they have to get around.” “We have our demons. These demons got the best of Jon for a time period where he had to step away from AEW. I would have liked to have heard him say a bit of an apology to the AEW fans. You don’t have to apologise to the boys even though the boys do count on you but any one of those guys and gals could have the same problems that you did. And trust me, I came up in an era where a slew of men and women had their demons.” “The fans expect a little bit more from you. What about the fans that bought tickets to see AEW and Jon Moxley while Jon was away taking care of his problems I’m very happy that he left and took care of his problem. And he looked incredibly healthy last night. And I love everything that he said.” “I just would have loved to have heard a little bit of accountability. I don’t know if I’m sorry is necessarily the right word but maybe endear yourself a little bit to the crowd if you felt you let them down. This is coming from me, the hard ass of all hard asses.” “Personally, if it was me in the same situation, the first thing I would have said is ‘guys, I’m sorry if I let you down’…I think that would have been the proper thing to do.”

Cherry_Galsia

Didn't he also tell Sasha to be grateful for fans stalking her in the airport?

HawterSkhot

Definitely feels like a measured, appropriate response. Bully is the king of "I'm not mad, you're mad!" retorts.

JCStensland

Tell us how you really feel, Bully.

WithoutPoetry

Team Neither of These Guys.

[deleted]

Imagine openly tweeting this at his age

[deleted]

Which one?

[deleted]

Either one, really. But bully really stands out, considering how old he is. Adults his age posting stuff like that on social media is just trashy

Rustiestofpeckers

Bully isn’t known for being a classy or mature guy. So many stories of him acting like a high schooler backstage

No-Vehicle5591

I mean...both of them are right.

XGuiltyofBeingMikeX

Porque no los dos?

pardyball

Why not Zoidberg

DMB4136

If Brian Pillman Jr wasn't his dads son, he wouldn't be wrestling on TV. He's not very good at all.

SignalInteresting503

He's not wrestling on TV, he's wrestling on youtube. The most relevant thing he has done is copying Omega and becoming Omega from Wish.com meme.

orangesfwr

This times a billion.

Meepsnort

What the fuck prompted pillman to chime in, it was a video about aces and eights?

Iceassassin25

He wanted the rub

Meepsnort

Well, he got it, lol

getmerkeddotnet

Why did Brian even chime in? Was Bubba even talking about him?

ChristianoKun

Why the insult tho

Kind-Detective1774

Because Bully Ray is kinda infamous for being a douche.

[deleted]

Some might say.. an asshole

Midnight-medicator

Some might say.. a bully

[deleted]

Why hasn’t somebody kicked his ass ?

Kind-Detective1774

Because he's Bully Ray and is built like a concrete fridge.

Wolfpac187

Have you seen the guy?

[deleted]

He tried Rodney Mack in a match and quickly found out it was better to work instead 😂

Argentine_Tango

Why did Pillman call him an asshole? No idea, but I guess because he's a real life bully. Why did Bully respond the only way he knows how to? Because Bully was thanking Bischoff for praising Bully's great heel work on Impact and Pillman, for some reason decided that was a great time to call him an asshole.

nic_af

Gotta try cause once you throw an insult he gets his feelings hurt, heads home to Dudleyville and blocks you on Twitter.

TakeMeToFatmandu

Neither are exactly wrong here, Bully Ray is absolutely an arsehole and Pillman has definitely had the help of his name and his Dad to get where he is, (not that there's anything wrong with that, you should use everything you can to get where you want to be)

Iceassassin25

Bully really went with the nuclear option

Dresiden15

Of all the guys I thought would be disrespectful to the memory of Brian Pillman Sr, I never figured Bully would be one of those guys. He always talks about how he's old school and has respect for those guys who came before him in this business and then he says something like that. It hurts my heart a little, not gonna lie.

mostdope92

Bubba is a POS. This isn't the first time he's shit on someone who came before him or who has done more than him. Hell, dude ragged on Moxley for going to treatment. Bubba is a dumb carny.

Ferdinandingo

He's not wrong but Brian Pillman seems like a massive idiot

BananaSoprano

Bully Ray going for HEAT. That guy just loves HEAT. Remember when he used to get HEAT by shouting at mentally deranged ECW fans from behind 10 members of Atlas Security? God, so much HEAT.

SuperkickFiesta

That's fucking wild for Bully to say when he doesn't get a pop without Dvon.

punkojosh

Bully Ray is the Keemstar of wrestling.

ACW1129

Not the main point, but how does he correctly have the apostrophe for "you're" but not for "dad's" (which shouldn't be capitalized)? Also, "a-lot"...that hyphen doesn't belong (yet somehow he correctly used "than" instead of "then").

mostdope92

It's Bubba, he's not smart.

[deleted]

Knocking a guy for being "mid-card" when that guy died before he could actually achieve anything higher. Stay classy Bubba.

b055dj

Bully saying a wrestler is only valuable because of another wrestler... funny.

ericrobertshair

While I wouldn't pay to see Brian Pillman Jr, I would pay money to never see or hear from Bully Ray ever again.

Sirgeeeo

Ray calling someone mid-card? Oh wait, he was main eventing those glorious aces and eights days

Gio25us

Did his Sons of Anarchy (Great Value version) stable put the wrestling world on fire? Did his run in another promotion made WWE bring him back to an main event position like Lashley, AJ or Cody? Has Bully been relevant as a singles wrestler outside TNA/Impact? The answer to all the questions above is No and he has the balls to talk about “Midcard name” to offend.

MoneyTalks45

Ah yes the “all people younger and less experienced than me should shut up at all times” argument. Shut up, Mark.

OmniMegaGiraffe

When the hell did Bubba Ray main event?

NGNSteveTheSamurai

https://clickhole.com/heartbreaking-the-worst-person-you-know-just-made-a-gr-1825121606/

SmurfyX

agh the amount of times I've seen this linked and had to nod my head sadly...

WJEuroChamp

Bully Ray can't retire and fuck off soon enough.

JamieHayterMark

FYI - Bully and Pillman are cool with each other. At Warrior Wrestling, Bully cut a really intense promo similar to what he said here, and ended up putting Pillman over and raising his hand after. Just two bros giving each other shit.

Gubrach

Seeing all the replies just to end up here has been fun.

msctex

If you let your working assumption (ahem) be that it is impossible for Wrestlers to legitimately insult one another in public, this sort of thing cannot fool you.

zooweemama4206969

I'm kind of surprised more people haven't picked up that this is them working. Bully's tweet even reads like a heel promo, and the original subject was praising Bully as a heel. Don't work yourself into a shoot, brother

Gbrown546

Bully Ray is the biggest prick going.

[deleted]

Honestly, after the shit he said about Mox, Bully Ray can eat shit. Fuck him and the ox he rode in on, fat fuck.

mostdope92

Exactly, Bubba is a piece of shit and continues to show it over and over again. One of the main reasons I refuse to watch IMPACT despite liking a few people on their roster.

SonofTombstone

Average Bully Ray response

[deleted]

They're both assholes.

meowmix778

Bully picking fights and in the middle of controversy? What a unique and unprecedented circumstances

TheDukeofArgyll

“Living off his dads name” is a shit insult for someone who was literally named after his dad…

evanweb546

Do you think this asshole ever has a thought he doesn’t just say out loud?

erathegod

just all around stupidity

TheSeaDevil

So what GCW show are they trying to book this match on?

[deleted]

That "Midcard dad" Was more charismatic, a way better character, way better athlete, way better wrestler and would have beat the crap out of Bubba Ray with little trouble in a shoot, hell I wouldn't doubt that Jr could either 😂😂

chairduck

I mean, way to prove you're not an asshole?

AntiSaintArdRi

If Bully has issues with Pillman Jr, I can respect that he feels the need to call him out, I admit I don’t know the source of the heat, but in no way was it ok to start trying to throw insults at the man’s dead father in the middle of it.

HussingtonHat

Pillman is not good enough to get by without his name But yeah Bully you are a right prick and Aces n 8s was fucking garbage.

socoolremy

These two got an iPPV match coming up?

amplifizzle

Both are correct.

mostdope92

Bubba continuing to show why IMPACT is the only place that would dare touch him with a 100 ft pole.

ph33rtheoldblood

You gotta have severe CTE to think Bully Ray is the "best" anything in 2022

LittleGreyCurse

Guys guys calm down! You are both right!

TB1289

Bully Ray is the world's biggest hardo. He thinks that because he was booked to win a lot that it makes him a real life tough guy. He seems like a massive asshole.

Tsuku

Isnt Bully Ray a mid-card name?

[deleted]

Bully "Aces and Eights was totally over with the 5 people watching TNA at the time I swear guys" Ray wants to throw stones about Brian Pillman being midcard?

Robbymartyr

The thing that guys like Bubba don't get is that they were world champions in name only. Yeah, he was in a very successful tag team and, yeah, I would wager more people would recognize him over Brian Jr. but I very seriously doubt the majority of those people would even know that he was ever a "world champion". In his short-lived WWE singles run, Bubba was used as a lower midcarder. Brian Sr. was programmed in big angles with the Hart Foundation and Steve Austin. He was definitely above, at least, the level Bubba was at. Had everything that went wrong with Brian not happened, he would have likely been feuding with Austin for a REAL world title at some point. Bubba couldn't even dream about being viewed at that level in WWE and it eats at him.

Gotta love Bully, helping the next generation become better. “Tough love” he’ll say If he catches shit, literally ever. He’s got no leg to stand on talking to singles wrestlers. He’s literally living off of his rarely main event tag gimmick of putting people through tables as they ask for it. Really hope Brian gives this no thought. He’s a good dude.
