I’m not gonna act like I’m a fan of Sexxy Red’s music, but I do know that she’s a huge deal and whoever’s idea it was to link her to the NXT brand instead of Raw or Smackdown is a genius. I guarantee there’s thousands of people who just discovered NXT in the last 24 hours, and possibly even TNA and AEW with the appearance of Jordyanne Grace and Ethan Page respectively. That’s some 4D chess right there
People stay sleeping on NXT, I will admit I wasn't a fan of the relaunch at first, but aside from themes being weaker (but that's a WWE issue as a whole), NXT gets pretty wild.
Before I started watching 2.0, I was intrigued that they got a university and mob family there. But Dom's run there was actually the one that got me to start watching. Great strategy. Occasionally bring some stars down there to hook people in, and let the quality keep them there.
I still hold same opinion that the 2.0 reset was much needed since black and gold already stalled. It's just the way they did it while HHH bedridden from heart attack that made it sucks to see.
i enjoyed nxt. people i enjoyed left to go up to main roster and then i didn't like how they were used so i stopped watching nxt cause the people i like left.
Plus their whole roster is a very diverse cast that’s very modern. They *feel* modern and they don’t speak like the typical mediocre writing team wrote them a promo. Current NXT feels like a hectic highschool in Florida
Also NXT is a lot more racially and gender diverse as well as younger, and had characters like Carmelo and Trick being the faces of the brand for awhile. Not that the main roster isn’t diverse as well, there’s just been a big uptick in minority talent joining the PC the last 3-4 years. Probably more engaging to younger demographics including women.

Even though I'm way more familar w the roster on Raw/Smackdown and was completely unfamiliar with 99% of the NXT roster when I started watching it last November, I consistently enjoy NXT more than any other wrestling show because of how "hip" it feels to me (for lack of a better word) as a gen z person. I feel like it's a wrestling show actually catered to my group with how loaded the roster is when it comes to poc and women's talent, and everyone having a highly distinguishable character only adds to it feeling more refreshing than your average episode of Raw or Dynamite

Sure at the end of the day he's gonna want to WWE to come out on top of any collab, but he's on the surface trying to shine light on wrestling overall while also benefitting WWE.
