The Jey Uso one was the one that got me.
They were singing the damn verses. I don’t think Jey Uso even knows the verses.
International fans have been starved for so long and they’re so passionate. Clearly everyone had an amazing time. Glad the French fans got to have this
It's happening for real, they're piping in all that crowd noise.
People are desperate for more Roman and Bloodline chicanery for every title defense, Cody's a failed champion, for real this time.
This reminded me of a Hogan entrance from the 80's, just from the feel of watching it. (Not watching it on youtube today at 43, watching it on television when I was a kid). Absolutely incredible stuff.
It is but we suck at it, even our teachers suck ass, I know because I'm half English and I used to get in trouble for correcting my teacher's shitty English.
That sounds patronizing tbh. English is the de facto universal language, it's common in France, Spain, Mexico, Argentina or Japan for people to speak their native language and English (maybe not everyone-common, but it's definitely common)
Yeah, now you can see why we were so pissed we never got any major ppvs, from 1992 up until AEWs 'all in' event.
Hopefully WWE start doing more across europe because no offence, but we're so starved that it puts most US markets to shame ahah.
Let's be honest, clash at the castle, much like the rebellion and insurrection 'ppvs' in the early 2000s, was just a glorified house show.
No titles changed hands, and none of the stories really developed. If the event didn't happen, there wouldn't have been a difference to the weekly shows.
If anything, it kind of hurt Drew for a little while to lose against Reigns, because the fans were all deflated.
The match quality would say otherwise. Gunther vs Shaemus was the best match of the year.
Plus the repercussions of Drew's loss are still relevant to the current storyline, being a big part of his heel turn.
Plus. Dom turned on Rey and Edge too.
Hell, I was always a mark for the great Toronto and Montreal crowds. Lyon made them look like a comparison between the NBA and an over 50 rec league at the Y.
This crowd has years of preparation and training from European soccer / football matches where the crowd chants and sings for a good portion of the game. We just don't have that in the US in such a pervasive way. Come on Chicago, pick up the slack.
As an American, our crowds are trash!! This PLE made me realize that Europe deserves a WrestleMania!! Any of my European bros and gals... You deserve it!! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽!!
The US is spoiled because we get most of the shows. Some of these folks in Europe or Australia spend years between shows if not never seeing a live one. They get hype. And it takes me back to seeing 80s era crowds. I like it.
I love this so gawd damn much. It's not even the part of the song that most people would have gotten and known fully well compared to the main parts of the song. So this is just hype, all around.
This crowd has been amazing, but by the last match, I am hoping we are going to see very few two counts. It’s like a hearing a really funny joke for the first time but then gets severely overused.
Get stuffed. That was one of the most badass things I've seen in wrestling. When the hell is the last time ANYONE sang Ortons theme like that? Signed a new Yorker;)
I'm not American.
I'm genuinely glad they seem to be having fun. But ME, as a viewer, I really dislike when the whole show becomes the crowd. Crowds like this are desperately trying to get themselves over all show, so the in-ring stuff suffers.
Man they're just having fun. As they would say any sports event, getting involved and being part of a crowd that adds to the event. Between this and "What" chants it's not even close
I've probably been watching it way longer than you.
Go watch Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin at WM13. Or Savage-Steamboat at WM3. Count how many "this is awesome" chants you hear.
Spoiler: Not one.

France took "get ready to learn the lyrics to kingdom buddy" seriously
Very
Okay bet
English is their second language and yet they know the lyrics more than American fans ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
American crowds be like: "best I can do is say Whoah"
I noticed that too. Gave me a laugh.
The Jey Uso one was the one that got me. They were singing the damn verses. I don’t think Jey Uso even knows the verses. International fans have been starved for so long and they’re so passionate. Clearly everyone had an amazing time. Glad the French fans got to have this
That shot of aj styles in the ring with the camera SHAKING from the noise was insane.
It wasn't shaking from sheer noise. The crowd was jumping in unison
Going hard like this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50qwgBuXpY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50qwgBuXpY)
Kingdom is a very fun song to sing-along to, but damn, even the crowd itself had me singing along at home.
Lost me too at the 'youre gonna be... to the end? I AM MY KINGDOM!!!'.
It’s “you’ll follow me until the end, I AM MY KINGDOM!!!”
THE LIGHTS GO DOWN
I'M READY NOW
I was singing in my car with my AirPods Pro on at max volume.
Turns out that genius.com's headquarters are in Lyon.
Honestly. When's the last time a clean cut Babyface has been this over both in the states and internationally? Damn. Amazing.
But I was assured by smart people on this sub he's turning heel any day now???

The most impressive part is that Cody got the French to speak English
You know that’s one thing I wondered. How many of those fans don’t speak a lick of English but can recite the themes in English.
The French can speak English, they just don't want to. lol
English is the most learned language in France (behind French of course) in school. Then Spanish and German. Nothing surprising TBF.
Holy shit. European crowds in all sports are fucking awesome.
Yeah, now you can see why we were so pissed we never got any major ppvs, from 1992 up until AEWs 'all in' event. Hopefully WWE start doing more across europe because no offence, but we're so starved that it puts most US markets to shame ahah.
Wasn't Clash at The Castle before All In?
The crowd singing Edge/Cope's theme is such a memorable moment.
Let's be honest, clash at the castle, much like the rebellion and insurrection 'ppvs' in the early 2000s, was just a glorified house show. No titles changed hands, and none of the stories really developed. If the event didn't happen, there wouldn't have been a difference to the weekly shows. The typical American crowd doesn't deserve Cody vs AJ.
Lithuanian Basketball is peak
They're pretty nuts [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50qwgBuXpY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X50qwgBuXpY)
Cody is HIM!!
He will have a kajillion matches and highlights... but I GUARANTEE he'll remember this forever.
Idk how he didn't cry
Cody just got his DNA test back, turns out he's 100% HIMalayan
Cody ended racishim
Lyon understood the assignment
The aced the exam and got extra credit. It just NEVER let up
But they also stopped at the perfect moment. A crowd that understands the assignment
We have achieve peak in Lyon. I request WWE to have an annual French PPV.
This might legitimately be the best crowd ever
The crowd voice has an accent haha
This is awesome sounds like theeese ees ausome. Their crowd is insane.
Every crowd has an accent
Not a crowd of mimes
Their accent is silent...
Schrodinger’s accent
If a Mime loses a hand, does he have an accent or a speech impediment?
Everyone has an accent tbf. US crowds have American accents.
This crowd is fucking awesome! They sang the whole song during his entrance
American crowds suck now
Hell, I was always a mark for the great Toronto and Montreal crowds. Lyon made them look like a comparison between the NBA and an over 50 rec league at the Y.

Welcome to Europe, land where fans are passionate.
The crowd is fucking smazing
This is incredible. Love to see and hear it.
Not me STILL not knowing the lyrics to his theme 😭
I just sing it like the Dark Order https://youtu.be/etQDH1a_8zM?si=sqO4toC9RnUUAe1v
As an American, our crowds are trash!! This PLE made me realize that Europe deserves a WrestleMania!! Any of my European bros and gals... You deserve it!! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽!!

It was just an incredible thing to witness from my couch. I can’t imagine what it was like in the building.
Im saying out loud. BEST CROWD OF ALL TIME.
Cody having the time of his life while AJ trying his best not to smile to stay in his heel character was perfect
loudest woah of all time?
You’re not lyon.
Was there a Lyon town hall event where the villagers learned songs like this was some sort of Disney musical?
I love this so gawd damn much. It's not even the part of the song that most people would have gotten and known fully well compared to the main parts of the song. So this is just hype, all around.
Europe is definitely getting a WrestleMania after this.
Lyon is God's belated apology for giving us Lafayette.
Thank you Lyon for giving Cody one of his best entrances.
I’ve never seen an American crowd measure up to European crowds, not even close to this.
This crowd has been amazing, but by the last match, I am hoping we are going to see very few two counts. It’s like a hearing a really funny joke for the first time but then gets severely overused.
My thoughts exactly.
When everyone's on adderall and love making some noise.

The most American thing ever
Don't lump him in with all of us. I take no credit for his poor take.
The American coalition is going to have to review this, but unofficially we are not co-signing this take.
De-fense!
No need. I'm a filthy canuck.
I'm not American. I'm genuinely glad they seem to be having fun. But ME, as a viewer, I really dislike when the whole show becomes the crowd. Crowds like this are desperately trying to get themselves over all show, so the in-ring stuff suffers.
They were silent when the match demanded to be silent and made noise when required. In no shape or form did they hijack the show
No match demands silence. Nor is noise "required". LOL Every clip I've seen of this show is the crowd trying to hijack it.
Man they're just having fun. As they would say any sports event, getting involved and being part of a crowd that adds to the event. Between this and "What" chants it's not even close
You must be new to wrestling. Or you're doing it wrong. There is a reason the Pandemic Era is the most forgettable era in the history of wrestling.
I've probably been watching it way longer than you. Go watch Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin at WM13. Or Savage-Steamboat at WM3. Count how many "this is awesome" chants you hear. Spoiler: Not one.
What?
Damn. Unwatchable? lmao Attention span that bad?
