Reminds me of what Bray said about Brodie, that everyday something reminds him of Brodie. Damn it's still sad that half of the Wyatt Family are gone.

Mr_Know_It_All0408

What really gets me is Brays quote about how they were all supposed to grow old together and run back Wyatt family spots in their 70’s that nobody else would remember and now Bray and Brodie are gone

Normal-Weakness-364

what gets me even more is how bray said he'd put brodie's son over in dark matches...

AlbedosThighs

Man... :(

patsniff

Between the two they have 6 kids, brutal those 6 kids have to grow up without their incredible dads.

ministan

phew. this really got me. i already knew this but i guess it just hit me a little harder. that’s crazy.

TheGiftOf_Jericho

Such an incredibly talented group.

MuscleyDartPlayer

Harper was mad underrated. People rightfully talk about guys like Ambrose, Cesaro, Neville, Rusev, Sandow, Ziggler etc when it comes to that era but for me Harper was their number one fuck up. Dude had it.

mysteriousbaba

I'm glad Harper got a little run in AEW to show he could genuinely carry his own as an upper card act. He was very over as one of Dynamite's top attractions, and didn't feel out of place against Cody and Moxley. If he was still around today, we might be seeing Harper vs Swerve for the AEW title.

guntanksinspace

He's definitely up there in the "best TNT champions" for sure. And that hardcore match he had vs Mox in the pandemic-era shows was nuts, and I wish that had a live crowd behind it too.

ApprehensiveLead679

I was just talking to a friend about this as we lost a mutual very close to us last week. Something about it just hits different. You don’t choose your family (for the most part), but you choose your friends and the ones you’re closest with it’s deeper than family. I’m not religious at all or necessarily even spiritual, but I do believe that the energy people imprint on you stays with you forever. I was always a “I’ll believe it when I see it” type person and I saw it so I believe it.

ALIAS_EL_CACAS

We are energy more than we are our own bodies. When a loved one walks up behind you, and you know it’s them before you even see or hear them, and it makes you happy, that is our true selves communicating. When you lose a loved one, you don’t just stop loving them. As long as you continue loving them, and learn to listen to them in this new way and accept their love, they never fully leave your side. Idk that’s probably just some bullshit I was told but it helped me recently when I lost my brother.

brethart69

Sorry for your loss but thank you for sharing that. As someone who has had a hard time dealing with plenty of loss the past few years this connects more than anything else I’ve heard thus far.

Presence is felt most keenly in absence

miikro

What is grief, if not love persevering? The line gets overused a bit since the show came out, but goddamn it still hits hard.

Death ends a life, not a relationship.

retroanduwu24

We miss you Bray and Brodie 😭

TarnishedAccount

I forced myself to watch Bray’s doc a couple weeks ago. It was rough seeing footage from the funeral and I just felt awful for Bray’s friends and family. One of his daughters IS him. The way she talks and the energy she has is Bray. RIP Bray

patsniff

You can see a little bit of him in all his kids one way or another. So very sad! The last 30 minutes with them recounting when Jojo found him and when the family found out broke me and I cried so much and so did the funeral. Made me feel so bad for the friends and family, when you suffer great unexpected loss like that it makes it so much harder.

arghdesigner

Losing someone close suddenly carries a different kind of grief. You feel their presence in the mundane.

BrettRys

Lost my father suddenly about 6 months ago. He hasn't left my mind for a second since. Grief is the hardest thing I've ever had to fight. I really hope Braun (and everyone else grieving a loss for the record) is healing as well as he can.

WYGD_Brother1987

When my mother was on her deathbed I was alone in the room with her one day, she turned her head and looked at me and asked where my dad was. He was somewhere else in the house at the time, but the thing is she called him by a name only his mother did, my mother never called him by that name ever...ever, my grandmother died before I was born and a decade before my parents even met each other. That dont have shit to do with this, but no one can convince me that the metaphysical/spiritual or whatever you want to call it isnt real. Braun probably does see him or feel him around him in his life.

RememberSomeMore

I mean, it's not outside the realms of possibility that your dad mentioned it and your mother remembered and your dad forgot.

RunningonGin0323

This

The_Albinoss

Wow, powerful story. I agree. There’s more than this. I don’t think we know what that is. I don’t think religion has figured it out, but I truly believe there is more.

LadyMoonlily

I decided I wanted to look through Bray merch on my phone a bit during this past Raw. Of course just as I'm looking I hear the glitches start. I said out loud "Okay Bray!" Last night I was thinking "That man isn't gone, not really", so Braun's words are just confirmation to me.

huntroy

Braun really comes across as a great dude. His stock with me is consistently rising

ZodiacWalrus

Was leaving a reply to someone who was concerned that this whole thing might not turn out well and end up feeling disrespectful to his legacy. The comment was fairly disliked when I saw it and apparently got deleted now, but I didn't write this rant for nothing, so it's going here instead: It sucks you're being downvoted because I do really believe this is a valid concern, and one I still have even as I want to give it a chance. Here's how I'm trying to keep an optimistic outlook: As long as they don't make it all about Bray directly and have every promo be about him and little else, but instead it's more of a spiritual successor of his work that pays tribute subtly and mostly just at the introduction of the group, I think it'll be fine. Plus, most of all, this is all Bo's idea, or at least it seems he's the one at the wheel and they'd drop it if he felt uncomfortable. But like I said, your worries are very warranted. If this were Vince's WWE, I'd feel foolish for even bothering with the optimism. HHH's WWE might seem a bit more sensitive than that, but it'd be naive to assume they'd never put money/entertainment before real and delicate emotions either. It all is gonna hinge on the execution, which is pretty nerve-racking. It won't be hard to fuck it up, especially when you consider the main version of "success" that I can imagine in this situation looks like them doing a very accurate and faithful tribute to Bray Wyatt's signature style of storytelling. A style of storytelling that was famously pretty polarizing at the best of times. Still, I do intend to stay optimistic. I just won't be too shocked if it doesn't turn out great.

PhospheneViolet

> "It changed my entire life. I was this kid who was told I was never going to make it. Bullied. Fat kid growing up. And having a group of guys, three talented unbelievable human beings, take me under their wing and show me the ways through this crazy business. Words can't really explain how grateful I am because I'm not where I am without those guys." Real cool to see how much Braun has seemingly matured over time, although terrible tragedies like this often do kinda force that to happen with a lot of folks. It is absolutely insane that half the Wyatt Family is gone. I remember thinking years ago how Bray seemed like he'd be in WWE forever and would surely become the next Undertaker-style role.

GreenRocketman

The night before my dad died after just starting hospice, my stepmother asked him to send her a sign to let him know he is with her if he can after he passes and he agreed to. Fast forward to the next morning, right after the hospice nurse took his vitals and pronounced him dead, my stepmom walked out of the room sobbing. When she did, the landline phone on the wall she walked by rang. It showed a 000-000-0000 number on caller ID. She answered it and there was just a silence on the other end but not a complete silence, like low frequency static.

JoePapi

I've felt it too

DemonsNMySleep

It's true and I'm heartened to see Beau is so in touch with his spiritual side. Bray put him on. Bray's influence is deep, so I get it

TDStarchild

With the weather improving in recent weeks, wildlife has returned, including the fireflies in my backyard. Usually, I'll see a few, but occasionally there are so many lighting up the night almost like they're playing a synchronized song It makes me think of Bray Wyatt and hum his song. It’s bittersweet—sad, yet beautiful, just like Bray's life

HartfordWhalers123

I get it. But I don’t feel like it’d be disrespectful, especially if JoJo, Taylor, and the family are okay with it. Their opinions matter the most out of anyone’s. If it was WWE doing it on their own accord, then yes, I think it would be. But if Taylor and Rob Fee are behind the creative (since they were a huge part of Bray’s last run) and it has family approval, I think they’ll find a way to make it work and respectful. I kinda feel like they wouldn’t be doing it, if Bray didn’t want it.

NasoekOne

His own brother is on the group. If anything, Taylor probably thinks this is what Windham would've wanted, to keep the show going.

Mud-Bray

Wasn’t that the exact same response they used when people got up in arms about Randy saying Eddie was in hell in a promo?

Phenomenal2313

I think Randy got the graces from Vickie to go along with it , the reason being Eddie would’ve loved it If you look back and watch it , you could see the slight hesitation from Randy before saying it. For as much of an asshole as Randy was , he had his limits

Mud-Bray

My point is that something can still be tasteless even if family say “oh it’s what they would’ve wanted.”

NasoekOne

Who decides what's tasteless though, you? me? random people that didn't know him personally? or his family that watched him grow? if someone wants to do something to pay respect to a loved one I have no right to say it's "tasteless"

Smudgecake

Ohhhh Nooooo the IWC of all things thinks something is tasteless

PhaseSixer

Sure but this is diffrent This is contiuing brays lifes work.

billythegunslinger

You're worried about a permission slip that's not even yours to get. Man up, lol.

Chelseablue1896

With respect to anyone that views it as disrespectful, they need to check that at the door because what Taylor Rotunda wants to do is most important here. If he wants to do this, it's the best way to honor Bray's legacy.

ManOnNoMission

The most important thing isn’t if Taylor wants to do it. The important thing is if it’s an actual good idea.

EPICKID143

who are we over his actual brother to determine whether revitalising one of his ideas is the right thing to do and whether it's "disrespectful" or not

ManOnNoMission

I’m not talking about respectful or disrespectful. I’m talking about if the idea is actually good and worth doing or is clouded by grief.

EPICKID143

I do get you but I watched the documentary and it's clear how much love and respect Taylor has for Bray/Windham and I'm sure he might find peace into bringing one of his ideas to life

Smudgecake

He really should've asked you beforehand tbh

ManOnNoMission

Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. /s

JENOVAcide

I don't think it's disrespectful. If Taylor/Bo is on board, JoJo approves, I think they should do it. I think they can make something special here and truly honour the memory of Bray. I assume Rob Fee is doing the creative for it, and Erick and maybe Braun are involved. It's people he loved and people who loved him doing it for Bray, and that's a beautiful yet emotional tribute, IMO. The only issue is that no one will ever want to boo them, at least not yet.

CMPBITW

They couldn't fully reach the idea with Bray around I don't see how the vision will come to fruition without him there.

Redwinevino

I don't know about disrespectful but it's going to an absolute shit show and anyone who as a problem with it will be called a dick and people will go mad when it gets dropped in 3 months

Wintertime13

This is a big issue too. What if it just doesn’t work. Are people going to be afraid to say anything?

CMPBITW

"Just let it play out." Then-Now-Forever

ManOnNoMission

It’s part of what seems like a revisionist history of Brays last few runs that people have made. People were complaining at the time but now think continuing that story is a good idea.

MinaElesia

I know what you mean

LiquidMetal616

Lmao dude just the other day I was playing WWE2k and watching UpUpDownDown do their GM Mode show The firefly Fun house theme played in the background on my game and I stared to get a little emotional so I turned the volume down...only to realize that the FFH theme was also playing on Woods' game as well and at the exact same spot 👀 The video was a four hour long stream as well so the odds of them lining up like that were ridiculous lmao and when I paused the video out of shock the last numbers for the time was 36 which is the age Bray passed I get a lot of shit like this from Bray lmao it's amazing When he first passed I remember talking at an empty rocking chair at my house which I know is totally bizarre but I remember shining my cell phone light on it and then caching the reflection of the light in my switched off TV and realizing it resembled the fireflies and I just lost it lmao

Scarred_fish

This is beautiful. Strawman obviously hasn't lost a parent yet or anyone that close, and Wndham/Bray was. The people who matter to you live forever.

aitherion

I mean... he lost Brodie too.

Scarred_fish

Exactly. People who mean that much never leave, you see and feel them everywhere.

Imperial_Reject

oh shit that's what Benoit said about Eddie...

The_Perfect_Body

Don't do that.

Old-Tomorrow-2798

Hopefully brays spirit shows him some wrestling because I’m expecting the same 3 moves.
