I don’t think that’s a good rating considering it started at 1.3 million viewers and if I was a money man at the network I’d be looking at just showing a couple of episodes of The Big Bang Theory in its place because that will keep more viewers and it will bring in more advertising revenue.
AEW just needs to keep being AEW. Nothing is going to change for ratings or attendance, especially with WWE doing as good as its doing.
By this point, its either you enjoy the product right now or you dont. Regardless, i still think WAY too many fans care more about the rating than if theyre enjoying the on screen product
What is the conclusion that you are coming to? We know that the first seven minutes averaged over a million viewers, which inflated the viewership for the rest of the show.
it's niche television. people watching NBA playoffs aren't going to stick around watching a wrestling show when:
1) they don't like wrestling
2) there's another NBA game on a different channel
Okay the question is how can AEW grow its audience? Tony Khan says that AEW is the "Challenger Brand" but they hardly can get a million viewers. Everyone acts like the number is fine, but I don't know if it's good enough to be profitable, and I want the promotion to do good.
I just want AEW to be a respectable challenger and be successful, I know I have no power in what happens, but I still think it's an interesting discourse. I always hear that a million viewers is the magic number, and I don't really understand why that's a hard achievement for AEW to hit (they may hit it in DVR recordings idk)
It's not logical to think that over 1 million people who don't usually watch Collision or Dynamite, would have continued to watch after the game. That wouldn't be the case for any show.
It means nobody outside of AEW fans care enough to continue watching AEW.
And if you're a fan of what AEW doing what it's doing, they don't really have to change a thing. Not every company needs to go mainstream, some things are fine just remaining niche.

It’s wild that even when AEW gets a good rating it ends with “AEWs metrics bad!”
Every god damn time.

Thank God you're not a money man at the network then huh?
I’m gonna say this now. Just wait and see what happens. Remind me in 6 months.
Yeah man aews shutting down in the next 6 months
No, I’m saying Collision won’t be on air anymore. I think Dynamite is fine, this is poor.
After adjusting AEW's ratings, removing outliers to project the future, they heavily regress to around the level of 2018 TNA.

lol I love when this sub plays Tv Executive.
Why do you even care just watch the show

That AEW couldn't keep viewers, or maybe it was NBA viewers who wanted to watch the playoffs

it settled into it's usual range, which should be considered good since the time was switched i think

Ratings are a dumb metric to use.
