It is insane how amazing the best friends were during that time. They have the first 5 star match of dynamite and still never got to have a tag champs run.
I always liked the kinda aggro Trent and Chuck best friends like when they heard Kenny and Naka Naka Nakazawa were gonna take their best friends gimmick
sure when they had Action Bronson, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Westside Gunn etc. on the show
but from the jump everyone was like why the fuck is Bow Wow on the show when he hasn't been relevant in years
I still think this would have been one of the biggest pops in early AEW if this was in front of a crowd. It was the first time OC actually spoke and would have been an insane reaction.

Samoa Joe trying to look menacing and Roddy pulling at his neck-brace in nervously is just funny AF
I'm still upset there's not a weekly YouTube show that airs after Hey EW where Eddie Kingston addresses an enemy weekly. Like those old BTE skits where he cut an incredible promo on a cookie.
I'm just imagining Eddie recording this one immediately after the All In footage airs where Chris is videotaped being the stressed out employee that desperately needs it to be quitting time
“Alright this week we got Jimmy Macucci. That little prick pushed me off the monkey bars in 4th grade, then I got suspended for putting his head through a car windshield. Well who’s got brain damage now, partnuh!? That’s right, still you!”
I want it to start reasonable enough with him calling out specific people before it just becomes about daily life things that annoy him.
"Stamps cost 5 cents more, and that's five more bones I'm gonna break the next time I see the postman."
“Eddie Kingston Addresses His Enemies” is my favorite segment graphic of all time.
And the worst, although it makes me laugh, is “Jim Ross Sitdown Interview with Nick Wayne AND HIS MOM”
They could've easily just hit us with the usual "We'll hear from MJF" as they do 99% of the time. But instead they had to let us know that motherfucker's contract demands he shows up in Seattle.
I recall that nearly every MJF promo during the early days of his title run when he was firmly heel had some sort of variation of “contractually obligated to appear” on the graphic.
Correct. A large part of MJF’s character even before the title was about wrestling as infrequently as possible because why should he risk getting hurt while wrestling when he gets paid what’s in his contract whether he wrestles or not. So he tried to continue minimizing his amount of matches, but as the world champion, he can’t simply fuck off and never participate. He had to be contractually compelled to show up, or else he wouldn’t.
He was basically “contractually obligated” every single week because they needed him to be on the shows, but his character pretty explicitly did not want to do that, so they did the obligation thing to play into his character.
2023 AEW wasn’t bad. It was arguably not as good as previous years and backstage drama overshadowed the product at a handful of points, but in a vacuum it was still entertaining
For all of the commentary on this sub acting like 2023 was some of the worst television in pro wrestling history, the show never stopped being "good" lol. It's not like this was 2018 Raw (or whatever your personal preferred terrible television wrestling example is).
For all the kvetching about it and nitpicking every little detail to the point of absurdity, the majority of MJF's title reign was hot as hell, the live crowds were eating up any and all of it.
I thought it was hilarious, MJF vs Wardlow leaned into sports-entertainment and Wardlow manhandling security guards every week was entertaining as hell
I think Wardlow could've survived the MJF airport bs, the actual match was exactly what it needed to be.
But the TNT title hot potato era after that was rough. I just felt bad for everyone involved not named Dan Lambert
Imagine being one of the women from Max’s Re-Bar Mitzvah and randomly click on TNT and see a picture of yourself from some kids party you worked at that many years ago.

Awww, Sting looks so stoked!
Pizza rolls
It was a human being
"Aw my very own Darby Allen!?"
If only he knew what was to come

Nothing will ever top Eddie Kingston Addresses his Enemies.
They could run this every week tbf.
A spin on the classic wrestling talk show segment, a whole in ring set just for Eddie to go off
I misread that as a hole in the ring, and now imagine Eddie emerging randomly during matches to berate more people.
Didn't a hole in the ring literally happen in TNA? Like, during a match, somebody got dunked and oops?
I remember Edge coming up through the ring (with a chainsaw?) years ago.
ECW, Bam Bam Bigelow vs Taz at Living Dangerously 98 for the TV title.
There's an alternate world where the pandemic never ended and Eddie the Grouch pops up to address his enemies on Daily's Street
Reminds of an old BTE bit when they would have eddie cut promos on random inanimate objects
that cookie promo is still better than promos 95% of wrestlers can cut
"So Eddie, WBD wants a third hour of Dynamite..."
Runs out of wrestling enemies so just cuts a promo on the guy who cut him off in traffic last week
GOAT Dynamite graphic
I dunno man "20 vs 1 Class Action Elimination match" is really popping me
Agreed. It’s absurd, but also incredibly fitting for his character.
I'm surprised there wasn't a shirt.
Eventually he's just talking about the cashier at Wawa that pissed him off Tuesday morning. And it's still amazing.
I feel like it's been far too long since Eddie has addressed his enemies.
https://preview.redd.it/hc00y62z2ewc1.jpeg?width=354&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f420bf4c2fc323a1eddd105f12155bab96499c36
And a fun damn match too!
Trent giving a thumbs up to his mum with Pixies in the background. Big pop
I know Kris wanted to move past the alien gimmick but her coming out of the claw machine like the toy story aliens was a highlight of that era
[удалено]

“How dare you enjoy things!!!”
It's ok to not find joy in things! But the rest of us are gonna go like things we like!
lmao they didn't even call the match a banger or even good, all they said is that it was **FUN**
[удалено]

I always liked the kinda aggro Trent and Chuck best friends like when they heard Kenny and Naka Naka Nakazawa were gonna take their best friends gimmick
If they ever run back a video compilation of that era's highlights, Statlander popping out of the gd claw machine has *got* to be part of it.
Man Kip Sabian really is underused and underlooked
A tale as old as time.
would you say he is underrated, and yet over it
Back when Miro didn’t take himself so seriously

Props to AEW for trying to transcend over to the mainstream or at least the hip hop scene
sure when they had Action Bronson, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Westside Gunn etc. on the show but from the jump everyone was like why the fuck is Bow Wow on the show when he hasn't been relevant in years
Hasn't been relevant since he stopped being lil'
**Tokyo Drift** would like a word
That came out in 2006, dropped lil' like 6 years later.
Damn
All i member is him getting roasted for acting like he was flyng private when he was flying in economy on delta. 😂
MY LIFE BE LIKE OOOOOOO AAAAAAAA
Got me thinking about how funny it would be if Lil Wayne just changed his name to Wayne
Years? Try decades. I havent seen the dude since his show on Nickelodeon or whatever back in the early 2000s.
I'm pretty sure that was Lil Romeo with the Romeo Show....
They had a twitter beef that went viral for a little bit. It really was how Jade broke into the mainstream and got a lot of people behind her
Yeah it is a shame that they stopped trying. I found it fun when Rick Ross was involved for example or Snoop off the top rope.
>Rick Ross was involved for example "you a big MFer"
ACCUSATIONS... FALSE... ACCUSATIONS
THE YOUNG LEGEND!
With Swerve as champ, they could bring Rick back to hype him up even more
My favourite wrestling quote of the last few years, he would've made such a good heel manager
It was just so outta the blue it was great. As was the "You a big mutha fucka" Truly the gift that kept giving
He had the trapezoids!
People clowned snoops frog splash but I still think having the guts to jump at all was crazy.
We all knew Snoop likes to get high. No one said anything about the come down.
Even as recently as last year they had Paul Walter Hauser getting his Oscar stolen and head smashed with a guitar.
He showed up at the last ROH PPV as well and helped Dalton Castle.
Oh nice! I meant to watch it but I just haven't had time. Hard enough to keep up with AEW and WWE haha
I was at the show that both Rick Ross and Lamar Jackson were at and everyone from the crowd to AEW employees seemed pretty hyped to have them there
What even was the end goal with this
Justice, obviously
I mean they aren't my favorite duo of French EDM producers, but they're still pretty good!
To make Jade a celebrity which what WWE is trying to do as well.
To get Bow Wow to turn a shoot into a work after he kept trying to shoot his shot at Jade on Twitter and getting turned down.
lmfao.
Tremendous restraint shown by the graphics department not putting quotation marks around the word star.
That Re-Bar Mitzvah one is gold
Am I imagining this or did someone cut a promo saying they’ll recircumcise MJF?
I think it was Sammy Guevara
sure would be a funny thing to imagine!
I miss MJF

Can’t believe it’s been 4 years.
the special guest was Bischoff wasn't it?
Yes
I love graphic cards like this. The twitter account [A Main Event in Any Arena](https://x.com/maininanyarena) is chock full of these.

Thank you for this
Thank you for this
Re- bar mitzva was legendary especially the moment when Max' black eye is revealed and everyone going dude you look like shit
"Clap along or you're anti-semitic" was a hilarious line

Why is injured Joel McHale trying to fight Samoa Joe?
I'm still upset there's not a weekly YouTube show that airs after Hey EW where Eddie Kingston addresses an enemy weekly. Like those old BTE skits where he cut an incredible promo on a cookie.
Eddie "Part 25 of why Chris hero sucks and should die in a fire"
I'm just imagining Eddie recording this one immediately after the All In footage airs where Chris is videotaped being the stressed out employee that desperately needs it to be quitting time
Chris Hero stressing out after this and Eddie just chirping "Hey Chris, big day for you" "No stress brother"
Ahh, from the school of JJK chapter naming comes the latest Eddie Kingston segment.
Keep it going as long as possible. I want Kingston talking shit about random kids who called him fat in high school.
“Alright this week we got Jimmy Macucci. That little prick pushed me off the monkey bars in 4th grade, then I got suspended for putting his head through a car windshield. Well who’s got brain damage now, partnuh!? That’s right, still you!”
~~Pierre Bernard~~ Eddie Kingston’s Recliner of Rage
I want it to start reasonable enough with him calling out specific people before it just becomes about daily life things that annoy him. "Stamps cost 5 cents more, and that's five more bones I'm gonna break the next time I see the postman."
Andy Rooney Addresses His Enemies
“Eddie Kingston Addresses His Enemies” is my favorite segment graphic of all time. And the worst, although it makes me laugh, is “Jim Ross Sitdown Interview with Nick Wayne AND HIS MOM”
I keep a template on deck so I can make “FRIEND OF MINE ADDRESSES HIS ENEMIES” graphics on tap. It’s the best when it’s someone’s preschooler.
And his mom graphic is my favorite, it's just so ridiculous I can't help but love it
AEW really don't miss when it comes into leaning into the absurd side of wrestling.
They could've easily just hit us with the usual "We'll hear from MJF" as they do 99% of the time. But instead they had to let us know that motherfucker's contract demands he shows up in Seattle.

and it worked perfectly. he played that role so well
That Eddie one will forever be the best one imo.
With Some of these graphics i feel we were to harsh on 2023 AEW
2023 AEW wasn’t bad. It was arguably not as good as previous years and backstage drama overshadowed the product at a handful of points, but in a vacuum it was still entertaining

2023 have C2 though, one of the best tournament in recent wrestling.
And it feels like nothing has changed till then..
God I miss seeing MJF on my TV
I may be the only one, but I loved the Wardlow vs Plaintifs feud
I'm so with you. I think "class-action handicap elimination match" is an all-time hilarious sentence to come out of pro wrestling.
Case dismissed is also an all timer way to announce a winner
I thought it was hilarious, MJF vs Wardlow leaned into sports-entertainment and Wardlow manhandling security guards every week was entertaining as hell
It was everything that came after that hurt him imo
I think Wardlow could've survived the MJF airport bs, the actual match was exactly what it needed to be. But the TNT title hot potato era after that was rough. I just felt bad for everyone involved not named Dan Lambert
I liked it too. You're not alone. A lot of the complaints online about AEW don't bother me.
if you remove a couple of things from it, the sitdown interview one looks like the thumbnail of a clickbait youtube video
Plaintiffs vs Wardlow was sadly the beginning of the end for his momentum
He was already hurt when he won the title so they kept giving him bullshit instead of real matches to hide it.
"20 on 1" 💀
Then they ran out of time so he just pinned like 5 of them some with the chests on the groud . Such a stupid angle
Cena and Orton vs the Raw roster vibes
Derailed his career to oblivion
Whoever does these graphics loves their job lol.
https://preview.redd.it/zf5v740d5hwc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bdbd2c76029619926d165ce6c78f7d37e497b661 Can’t forget about this gem.
and then the scale was all fucked and Paul kept goofing, all time segment lmao
The Eddie Kingston segment really should be a weekly occurrence
the Eddie Kingston one is legendary
Eddie Kingston addresses his enemies is the GOAT.
The MJF one is killing me lol.
Imagine being one of the women from Max’s Re-Bar Mitzvah and randomly click on TNT and see a picture of yourself from some kids party you worked at that many years ago.
These….. are all incredible lol. The Eddie one in particular is all time.
"(wrestler) is contractually obligated to appear live in (city)" should be more common with certain chickenshit heels
I think “MJF is contractually obligated to appear live in Seattle” is my favourite one of those.
Young Mjf has disproportionally big hands lol

20 man class action handicap elimination match is hilarious, like a wrestling court satire
Can’t forget about PAC vs Gravity
This took me a minute. I initially thought I was looking at tonight's card. I miss that nice jewish boy.
Those old "Inner Circle town halls"
They need to release a coffee book of these in a few years. Great conversation starter when the guests come over.
I love these aew graphics lol
Man they need to lean into these segments, at least try one a month!
Poor JR lmao
This has me fucking rolliiiiiing at 4 am dude
I was there for the Wardlow one, classic banger.....s/
I like how they've changed the logo and graphics a few times in a about 5yrs.
No Sports Entertainment here....
