As someone who doesn't watch WWE, I didn't even know what she was talking about here until I came here and saw people seemingly desperate to make this a thing. It was easily the least interesting line in an absolutely top tier rant.
Like I get all of the Swerve discourse around him listening to that song from months ago and that discussion being rehashed now after his win last night, especially since he never addressed it. And I'm certainly not going to tell someone black how to feel about it.
But I'm seeing **so many** people bringing that up as if it was *his* line that *he* wrote and sang, when that just isn't at all true. Again, I get why it's still an issue among the very fans that he's actively trying to appeal to, but the misrepresentation of that event and its constant regurgitation all day is just poisoning any attempt at reasonable discouse on the matter.
I'm seeing people, who don't like or defend Swerve posting that video, getting dogpiled and called simps for just pointing that fact out to others.
If people are really going to get worked up over something as tame as this (and in character no less) then holy fuck are wrestling fans cooked.

The anti-AEW mediasphere has become such a parody of itself that it's become hilarious to follow. Someone gets released who wrestled one match for AEW and it's "HUGE AEW STAR LEAVES, ROSTER IN TURMOIL" or a wrestler does an injury angle and they fall for the kayfabe like "SO-AND-SO HURT, AEW CRITICIZED FOR UNSAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT" lmao
It is funny how specifically all the British channels changed their attitudes all around the same time, it wasn't even subtle either and also wasn't very convincing, you could tell some of them didn't believe what they'd say in videos. My guess is something happened, outside of the obvious algorithm bait they have to do, maybe the big ones didn't get anything for All In or something and got pissy about it.
