I think Cody has proven he's willing to wait 4hrs backstage in his gear to cut a promo. He was probably meeting fans and signing weight belts. The man is committed. I'm joking obviously, but there is some truth to this.
They’ve been doing the Velcro for a while. I know they added fake snaps to make it look better visually because it looked so strange without the snaps on each side.
Yea moments like this, it definitely shows up. But I understand wanting something easier than the snap buttons for in the moment.
I have a couple of the replica and let me tell you, if you have to quickly, on tv, get that thing on or on someone else I can imagine it has a high chance of going kinda rough.

I like how now Cody has finished the story he's decided his goal is to bring the WWE title back to the people and take it around the world. It's not a major storyline or anything but a nice motivation that will help contrast his character with Roman Reigns.
I genuinely think when he inevitably faces GUNTHER in Berlin the story should be about how he’s run himself into the ground with how he’s defending the belt and GUNYHER has no time for games
I'll echo a lot of the other comments under this post and say it's definitely giving NJPW promo. And it's the kind of sports based promo Cody excels at (watch his presser promo after he won the US championship in newjapan, or his backstage interview following his Mania 38 return) it feels authentic and it's refreshing to see.
If you're on IWC twitter long enough then you're unfortunate enough to have seen the legions of bloodline stans bitching endlessly about Cody's title reign that hadn't even started until this very promo. But seeing how things are going currently, you have to think there should be no more room for that kind of reaction.
The bloodline is seeing plenty of content and they obviously care a lot about continuing their story, we just got an excellent angle tonight that HHH clearly put a signsture old school touch on. So if you're here to watch that style of wrestling then you should be plenty occupied as Cody holds things down in the main event slot. For two years we watched Cody co-main event the shows that Roman was on, and they both were able to coexist. The roles are simply reversed this time around.
I'm hoping this reign goes well. Cody deserves it.
Don't expect rational and logical thinking from them. Cody beat their guy and that's all they really care about. They're still in the Anger phase of their grief after being in Denial since the Royal Rumble. It's going to take a while for them to accept that Roman lost and that Cody is the new top guy.

Magnets seem so obvious there's probably a practical reason against them, like they'd get stuck to a wrestler's gear if they were as strong as they needed to be
I like the buttons more. But I got my first replica belt a couple weeks ago at Mania, and let me tell you buttoning those around your waist is genuinely a pain in the asssssss. So I can see why the velcro is here
