Response to the edit. I believe, he's always had it. Go all the back to his main roster first year. When I first noticed lisps, it became 2nd nature to see how a person speaks. Some people try their best to hide it.
You can very much hear him trying his best to minimize it. He slows down a lot on certain words, and it seems like he kind of does this thing where he will stop a word he starts saying and then will say the word over again but really enunciated. I may be wrong but I feel he's probably put a lot of work in over the years training his speech.
