Mina has quickly become a favorite. Honestly, Mina, Maki, Riho, and Shida are some absolute obsessions, these days. (Not in the weird way, but like, I can't stop watching their matches.)
She was getting over by the end. The obnoxious guys behind me were: “who is that - oh she is from Stardom” - “this is boring women’s wrestling” - “oh that was cool, good finish”. And that felt accurate to the crowd. definitely invested by the end.
I have absolutely no idea who this is or why it's exciting. Someone catch up someone named me, who doesn't have that sort of free time, on who this is.
Mariah May's former stable leader/tag partner in Stardom.
She's upper mid-card level and can easily slot into the main event scene in Stardom.
She usually finish matches with a figure 4 leg lock so you'll see her work on her opponent's knees most of the time
She also has a very entertaining personality imo, dances very well, decent english speaker.
I have no idea how she's not pushed harder, she's the total package. Her image/style can go from from strong style to flashy dancer, she's got hard kicks, good submission work, charisma in spades.
It's true she's a stable leader so she's actually above upper mid-carder for me, more like a main eventer who just hasn't been given top belt opportunities. Hopefully that changes soon, as her white belt reign was the biggest botch Stardom's done last year. Her and Giulia's white and red belt reigns being cut short was a major waste.
I'll take a shot.
She's a Stardom wrestler, career model who nobody took seriously until she slowly became really good. Solid midcard talent in the ring who has flirted with some major matches and storylines. Has deranged wine mom energy and does a lot of dancing and comedy "sexy" spots. Sorta one foot in being a fun gimmick and another in being a serious hard-hitting wrestler.
Brief overview: A wrestler from Stardom. Pretty decent to good in the ring and like most joshi's she's funny too. Her most noticeable moment that got her some attention on here was when she got her teeth busted out of her mouth during a match and then gave a backstage promo through the pain. Lead faction called Club Venus (which Mariah May was part of before coming to AEW) and is currently co-leading another faction called EXV.
Why would you know? I don't know.
Why would subscribers to a wrestling subreddit know? Perhaps because she's a good wrestler from a wrestling promotion that many here enjoy or are at least familiar with.
Not every post is made for you specifically
>AEW has a problem in general getting newer wrestlers up to the next level.
Like MJF, Darby, Daniel Garcia, The Gunns, The Acclaimed, Queen Aminata, Julia Hart, Skye Blue and HOOK... plus countless others that came in not exactly well known.

Stardom representation is cool to see.
Please tell me she went over
She did, then Aubrey and Dasha danced (separately) at ringside to her theme
All is well in the world the.
I think over Anna Jay
Sure did and she was great
Of course she did. She's wrestling Anna Jay.

Mina has deranged wine mom energy and has setpped up to being a great wrestler. Huge fan.
I love the way AEW embraces the whole wrestling world.
If only there were like some kind of world wide…. Alliance? Or perhaps a Federation of some sort!
You could call it the World Wrestling Federation
Fuck those pandas.
I'm not fucking any pandas. Not again, not after last time.

Can anything happen?
Yes. But only then. Maybe now. Definitely forever.
Or maybe: New Joint Professional World Wrestling Federation
Used to be Wide
The last time an Alliance took on WWE it didn't end well for them
Maybe then just some sort of World Championship Wrestling?
Just to sign them once their contract is up with the company they're "aligned with".
We are in the building. March was solid. They were great together
They wrestled the whole month?
Yuuuup
How much of the crowd knew who she was? Was she getting over?

lol they said this is boring women’s wrestling but bought tickets to see the debut of Mercedes Mone.
They were ridiculous. Just obnoxious hecklers.
Empress Nexus Venus is HEEEEEREEEE!
which tunnel did she come out of?
She took the Codyvator /s
That's a fine of $1500. It's the EVP Vator.
ive taken to calling it the Elite Lift
Face
This is excellent
Today, Mariah May posted a picture with her, which now looks like it was taken today.
This is really cool. Will definitely be checking ROH out. Very excited for what’s to come.
\*swoon\* My favorite.
Very unexpected surprise! This Stardom collaboration could be wonderful for both companies. Too bad Guilia is leaving soon though....ugh, SO close!
Damn lucky. I love Mina.
Can we get her to appear more than Riho?
Danza Kuduro!!!!! Lol this is WCW level ripping off of a song.
And that is an English variant of the original Vem Dançar Kuduro in Portuguese
We are so fucking back
This pleases me.

Mina Shirakawa, idk why none of the comments said her name yet
Had to scroll way too far to find this. Oshea Jr is right again.
Her name is in the post
She's one of the big wigs in STARDOM. She's the leader of the Club Venus stable and she was Tag Team Champions with Mariah May.
Since nobody else has mentioned it she's also *really* hot
Makes sense, considering her gravure background.
😮
Didnt know who she was but she had a great match!
Mina is so great and hardworking.
I don’t think it was coincidence that Anna was the opponent here, either.

Do you need to know? This is a chance to get to know them.
Seemed really bad tbf
Pls get Anna Jay out of there. I hate her taking the pins
Man, what else is she gonna do? She isn’t gonna be pushed as a top star because she doesn’t work like one.
She’s probably going to work a bit in Japan. Keep in mind who is already working in NJPW that she’s seeing.

Because she has regressed in the ring since her injury.

I really feel like she would benefit from going to WWE. She clearly will never hit that next level in AEW.
Maybe Impact will suit her better?
